Hello, Professorjohnas. I reverted you on on adding Pansexuality to Template:Sexual orientation and on adding Template:Sexual orientation to the Pansexuality article. The reasons for this are stated in my edit summaries on both: Pansexuality is not recognized as a sexual orientation by authoritative sources (such as the American Psychological Association) because it is not distinct from bisexuality, as has been discussed. See Template talk:Sexual orientation#Shouldn't the other two sexualities be added back? for the most recent discussion concerning this on the talk page for Template:Sexual orientation, or Talk:Bisexuality#Why is Pansexuality talked about in the description?. Flyer22 (talk) 17:03, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

At Talk:Pansexuality, you might also want to check out the discussions about whether or not pansexuality is the same thing as bisexuality or more accurately described as a subset of it (in either case, it's not distinct from it...not completely anyway). Flyer22 (talk) 17:41, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Update: Pansexuality has been added to the template, but not as a sexual orientation. Flyer22 (talk) 18:24, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for telling me this. Professorjohnas (talk) 15:03, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Aloysius Martinich, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page St. Joseph High School. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Bank Band

[edit]

Hello Professorjohnas,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bank Band for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Ways to improve Bank Band

[edit]

Hi, I'm Kudpung. Professorjohnas, thanks for creating Bank Band!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Kindly address the issue(s) withe source(s). WP:V is a policy. Policies override notability guidelines.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Universalglot, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Germanic and Romance (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Dear Jonashtand/Archive1 :

You are receiving this email as you have signed up as an interested member of the Wikimedia User Group Hong Kong, and is active at the English Wikipedia.

This message is sent on behalf of group Liasons of the User Group.

As the mission of the group has been successfully amended, and Liasons elected, the Liasons to affcom have now sent an email to Affcom seeking recognition. However, during the process (which is delayed by the hosting of Wikimania), we have been requested by them Affcom to amend the name of the usergroup (which subsequently mean a change of text of logo as well) as our name did not meet their guidelines.

To resolve this problem, one of the liasons, 1233, has started a discussion on the group's meta talk page(meta) to amend the name of the User Group according to the email received about the recognition of the group. We would hope for more input so as to obtain consensus on this matter and resolve this situation. The discussion will end at 00:00, 1 September (HKT, UTC+8).

In order to speed up the process, we would assume you having no preference if no reply is received on meta.

Many thanks,
1233 (on behalf of the Liasons)

Page moves

[edit]

I've reverted your page moves for now, because (1) you haven't demonstrated consensus (the longstanding convention per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Chinese) is to use the translated name in the title and the transliterated name in the infobox), and (2) I can't tell if your information is accurate. The most recent photo available of the front of Guangzhou East railway station still shows "GUANGZHOU EAST STATION" lettered above the façade. Jc86035 (talk) 14:34, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Jc86035: Thank you for notifying. I was not aware of the conventions, which I now agree with. Sorry for the mistake. Jonashtand (talk) 15:29, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reference template issue

[edit]

Hello! Was reviewing pages and came across Yelang, Guizhou where there is something funky going on with the reference. {{PRC admin/ref sgc|{{PRC admin/parent|52/03/22/111/000}}}} does not render correctly (and Template:PRC admin/parent does not exist). Just wanted to bring this to your attention since I'm not sure what the intended reference is. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 00:35, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
