Hello, Johnstonrk. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Michael Ray Johnston (Musician), for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Michael Ray Johnston (Musician) to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, MrScorch6200 (talk) 02:30, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, I didn't mean to delete the speedy deletion. I simply went to the page and added a couple of reference. I have more references and will be working on this over the following week. Michael Ray Johnston is a historic figure in the rock music heritage of Kansas City, MO. He has written a number of copyrighted songs and commercial ads in the 70's and was a member of several prominent bands whose members are part of published record contracts. As I am able to get more references I will be expanding the page and linking it to the appropriate support material. I also plan to upload picture of musicians Michael has worked with and link them to their wiki pages. It will all come together over time.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Michael Ray Johnston (Musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. GrantWishes (talk) 02:30, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Michael Ray Johnston (Musician)

[edit]

Hello Johnstonrk,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Michael Ray Johnston (Musician) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ☾Loriendrew☽ (talk) 05:25, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
