Request reason:
I am being paid no money as I've edited pages related to the 2020 general election in Florida's 6th congressional district with information that the individual Gerry Nolan is a qualified candidate according to the State of Florida and a "real candidate" according to the Florida Supreme Court. The local print daily has acknowledged Gerry Nolan's candidacy from the day qualified on April 24 2020. Additionally, Vote Smart is tracking Gerry Nolan. Ballotpedia is covering Gerry Nolan. There can be no question that Gerry Nolan can be elected to serve in the United State House of Representatives if he wins a plurality of vote in the general election on November 3, 2020. Furthermore, you will see no other edits by me on any other pages. My completely fact based citations/references regarding the edit are indisputable.
Decline reason:
You were blocked for advertising, and appeal on the basis that you only want to advertise and will continue advertising if unblocked. That's a no-brainer - Decline. Cabayi (talk) 07:11, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Wikipedia only includes articles about topics that are notable - those that are of interest to the world at large and have gained sufficiently significant attention, as evidenced by coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. Wikipedia:Notability (people) expands upon this concept as it applies to people, and the section Politicians and judges further refines this. Being an unelected candidate for office does not make someone notable; if they are sufficiently notable for other reasons, then they may be included on that basis.
- Wikipedia cannot, for any reason, be used for the purposes of promotion or publicity. Readers expect factual articles written independently of their subjects, with neutral wording and balanced viewpoints. Editing for purposes that are unduly self-serving is contrary to these goals.
- If you are this individual, then please do not write about yourself. In addition to being an inherent conflict of interest, Wikipedia highly discourages people from writing about themselves because they are incapable of being objective judges of their own notability. You will find it almost impossible to write about yourself from the required neutral point of view.
- If you are not this individual, but are representing his interests, then you should not being editing under an account named after him. If it turns out that this person is notable, then Wikipedia will not allow their name to be used by someone else, to prevent damaging impersonation. In addition, anyone editing on behalf of this person's political interests must openly declare their conflict of interest and status as a paid editor. Interns, on-loan staff, and unpaid workers, including volunteers, are deemed to be paid editors if they are directed or expected to edit Wikipedia as part of their tasks). --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 07:01, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- Drm310, the edit summary on the history of User:Gerry Nolan for FL's 6th Congressional District/sandbox leaves no doubt. Cabayi (talk) 07:20, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
