Gordon Tipple

[edit]

I have started a page on Gordon Tipple, and I need help.--Fred Bloggs (talk) 00:33, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JohnSmith5000100,
The primary thing that article needs is better sources. I think you might have misunderstood the IMDB tag that was previously on the article, it was there to suggest that the fact that the article was supported by IMDB was a problem. This is a surprise to many editors, but IMDB is not considered a reliable source at Wikipedia, there's some information on this point at WP:External links/Perennial websites.
What you are looking for is generally newspaper articles, magazine articles, books,e tc., that talk about Tipple in depth. certainly more than is at, say, this book, but the book would generally be a type of reference we'd want if it said more.
If you can find a couple such sources that talk reliably about Tipple, it will be much easier to write the article -- you'll simply summarize what they say. Which is how our policies ask us to write articles here at Wikipedia.
Navigating this place can be hard at first, if I can answer any questions, please leave a note on my talk page, and I'll be happy to respond. Have a great week! --j⚛e deckertalk 00:46, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Template:Eleventh Doctor's Swan Song requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Notice

The article The Methodist (2021 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable future film, fails WP:NFF. Created too early.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
