Add an Entry to Fake Company's Style Guide Wiki

You said this was part of a school project? Who is your instructor? Do they have an account on Wikipedia? Test pages for school projects should not be made as if they were encyclopedic articles. If you get me in touch with your instructor I can help sort this out. Thank you MusikAnimal talk 16:55, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. As far as I know, I'm the only one in my class who's posting a wiki entry: it's for a project, not a prescriptive assignment. As far as I know, my instructor does not have a wiki account. Is there a reason this is a candidate for speedy deletion as opposed to regular? Can I persuade you to keep it live for a little while longer? Jmregal (talk) 18:02, 2 June 2015 (UTC) jmregal[reply]

You might find Wikipedia:Your first article an useful guidance for creating articles on the wiki, I'll note. It also indicates certain things that are discouraged in articles and that frequently lead to their deletion. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 18:07, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jmregal, no, we are unable to keep such an article live on the site. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a testing ground for a school project. We do offer an education program for school projects, but unless it's something encyclopedic you won't be permitted to create a live article. If you just want to play around with wiki syntax, you can do so in your sandbox. MusikAnimal talk 19:31, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I understand. I didn't know about the sandbox. What can I do to retrieve the content that was deleted so I can put it there?
