Wilfrid Brulez
[edit]Hi there, I see that you've added a date of death for Wilfrid Brulez, but as far as I can tell the source cited doesn't actually provide a date of death. Am I missing something? --Andreas Philopater (talk) 18:19, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Andreas Philopater:, I didn't add it. If you check the edit history you'll see it was already there. I just reformatted and partially referenced it. The source I attached from the Ghent academia page at least verifies that he died this year. That's all I can find for now. Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 18:21, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

Why are you validating the edits of an IP editor who seems to think that what Facebook says is true, is true? Instead of quite rightly reverting the use of the social media source (which remains an unreliable platform for obtaining truthful information), you have instead developed the possible lie. Many editors, including myself, have been waiting for reliable corroboration, and that remains the case. Ref (chew)(do) 15:21, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- I mean the Daily Mail have reported her death. Sadly we can’t use that because of WP:RS. Social media is acceptable in some instances. When a funeral program is staring you square in the face it’s pretty difficult to refute. We should care about the truth more than squabbling over the selectivity of sources. Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 16:58, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- No, as we are talking about someone who someone else will be grieving over or otherwise, we should care even more about the truthfulness of the source being quoted. The Facebook world is full of untruths and glaring mistakes, and I still say Wikipedia should be better than that. I'm happy that a funeral home source has been found for Ms Neil. Raoul Courbin
[edit]Hello Jkharper, I’ve changed the death source, and put the publication instead of the forum. The publication DOES evoke his death, page 5, quoting a book published in the 50’s « We were saddened by the brutal and unexpected death of Chamois Niortais’ player Courbin. » It also says that season 1951-1952 was his last, so he died between 1952 and 1959. Sinbabad (talk) 17:53, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Sinbabad:, thank you. I've tweaked it slightly. --Jkaharper (talk) 22:34, 21 October 2023 (UTC)

In regard to your recent edit on Suraj Gupta's entry
[edit]Greetings, I'm currently working on Gupta's work on quantum gravity, and I'm looking for additional archival material and possible contacts that might be helpful. I noticed that you recently updated his page. Could you tell me how you learned about his demise and if you have any further relevant contacts?
Thanks, and best Minty Melon (talk) 13:02, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
