How to know if I Should Remove "Unreviewed" Template?
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I recently created an article titled "Blue Zoo (Televsion)". It has the "unreviewed" template. 3 days ago I received an alert telling me that the article has been reviewed by a user named Rcej. Should I remove the "unreviewed" template? Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 21:49, 7 June 2016 (UTC)Jith12
I wouldn't, as it gives the impression that you reviewed your own article. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 22:07, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I created the article "Blue Zoo (Television)" at the start of June. As you can see in the question that I asked above, the article was reviewed but the "Unreviewed Article" tag is still there. Since I shouldn't remove the tag myself, I would like who will remove the tag and when it will be removed. Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 21:59, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Jith12

Translation Help

Hi, I am currently translating an article from French to English using the Wikipedia article translation tool. I am almost done and am about to publish the translation. However, I am not able to edit and translate the contents of the infobox from French to English. There is a button underneath the infobox that says "modifier" but when I click the button it takes me to a page where I can edit the original French article. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me how to edit and translate the contents of the infobox from French to English. Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 22:13, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
- Infoboxes are rather difficult to translate automatically because there's no guarantee the English-language Wikipedia has the same infoboxes as the French-language one, or vice versa, or that, even if both have the same infobox, the parameters are compatible. My advice would be to translate the rest of the article, and to then change the infobox for an appropriate English one in a second step. Huon (talk) 22:34, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, I published the article and it said that there was an error and it asked me to re-submit the translation. However, it is not letting me press the "Publish Translation" button. How am I supposed to fix this? Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 22:43, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
- Only accounts that are at least 30 days old and have 500 edits can publish translations directly into mainspace. Your translation will get through if you try to publish to draft space. Pppery 22:54, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Hi, I have just finished translating an article using the content translation tool. However, I would like to know how to submit the translation to its draft namespace. I can't publish the article directly yet because I don't have enough edits. It would be greatly appreciated if you could tell me how to do this. Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 23:54, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
- You can go through the Article Wizard or directly create the page at Draft:Insert title here. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 00:06, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
- I have created the draft page (Draft:Sainte-Anne-de-Prescott). But, how exactly do I get the content from my translation to the draft namespace? Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 00:17, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
- I don't guarantee for this, but to the best of my knowledge the option to publish a transltion as a draft has not yet been implemented. The English Wikipedia requires that editors using the content translation tool must have at least 30 days and 500 edits of experience. I would advise you not to use the content translation tool next time but to do the translation manually. Since you apparently are almost done with this translation, we can do it the same way we did it last time: You try to save your translation as a live article, run into the edit filter, leave me a note, and I can grab the content from the edit filter and place it in the draft. Huon (talk) 02:51, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Huon: Alright. I tried to publish the translation and ran into the edit filter. If you could place the content into the draft it would be much appreciated. (The article's name is Saint-Anne-de-Prescott) Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 21:12, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
- See Draft:Sainte-Anne-de-Prescott. Please note that I have to do quite a bit of cleanup to produce that; please use another way of article creation the next time. You can create a draft directly without making use of the translation tool; I think the only extra effort involved will be finding the correct targets for links and maybe the file names for images. Huon (talk) 21:51, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Huon: Thanks so much! Next time I'll be sure to make the draft directly instead of using the translation tool. Thanks again, Jith12 (talk) 22:25, 28 November 2016 (UTC)

@Jim1138: If you are asking me if I am a fan of Zara Larsson the answer is yes. On the talk page, NFLjunkie22 falsely accused me of lying to him. He claimed that I said I was not a fan of Zara Larsson when I said that I was a fan. Jith12 (talk) 22:42, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up, updated the article now. Though in future feel free to do so yourself, don't think the article was protected at all so shouldn't be an issue. Kaiser matias (talk) 16:53, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
Uniform coding help

Hi! I am trying to code the home and away jerseys for the Canada national futsal team at my sandbox. I am looking at pictures of the team wearing both their home and away jerseys and am trying to replicate them. I can get the base colours (red for the home kit and white for the away) but can't seem to figure out how to get the more intricate patterns. Pictures of the team wearing home jerseys can be found here and in away jerseys here. I can't figure out how to get the white stripe over the chest in the home jersey and the white section in the socks from the home kit. Also, is it possible to code the Canada Soccer logo located on the left side of the jersey (from the players vantage point)? I would really appreciate it if you could teach me how to code these intricate areas in the kit. (Note: I was able to code the red section of the socks and the red patch on the shoulders in the away kit because I copied them from the article for the Canadian men's soccer team) Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 21:51, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- You'll want to check Template:Football kit/pattern list. Unfortunately you're probably looking for white-on-transparent here, so setting your browser's background to red will help you find what you need. For the socks the best I found was _band_white; for the top _whitehoophigh is close but arguably not what you're looking for. If none of those patterns meets your needs, you'll have to create new images. Huon (talk) 00:00, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
@Huon: Hi! It turns out that there were a couple images on Commons that were perfect fits. I put them into the article and they are there now. However, I could not find any socks that fit the bill for the home kit. I think that it is best for me to create my own images for them. How exactly do I do that, though? Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 15:53, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- You can check out commons:Category:Football kit socks for a vastly greater supply of kit sock images. Maybe File:Kit_socks_asm1011t.png is roughly right? Well, I only checked the first few pages; there's more than 25 pages of 200 sock images each, all in one big badly-sorted pile. I would expect that to display one of those patterns in the infobox you'll need the last part of the file name before the extension, for the above example
_asm1011t
. If that still doesn't give you the specific socks you're looking for, you'll need to create an all-new image and to upload it to the Wikimedia Commons via their Upload Wizard. My advice for creating the image would be to download either File:Kit_socks.png or File:Kit_socks_long.png and to modify it with the simplest image editing tool at your disposal that will get the job done - maybe Microsoft Paint or something? When you upload the file, remember to include a link to the original png image you modified. Also note that the "empty" images are transparent; you can thus choose to add either the white or the red parts and leave the others to be set via the kit template's color parameters.
