Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 10:52, 4 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Most successful multi-sport clubs is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Most successful multi-sport clubs until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Phillips 66ers. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Notice

The article AAU men's basketball records has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Low importance and notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ikaros Neapolis moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Ikaros Neapolis, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Spyros Dimopoulos moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Spyros Dimopoulos, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:09, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Vsatin reported by User:ItsKesha (Result: ). Thank you. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 22:03, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've undone the report but I am willing to give you the opportunity to explain why you think doing three reverts and ignoring a request to discuss is something you think is the correct course of action. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 22:08, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also willing to ignore the personal attack if you discuss this on the talk page as requested. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 22:08, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There is no personal attack at all, I do not know you as a person.
It is a clear observation on how much you contribute by researching, writing, looking for references vs how many deletions you do on articles - and from my viewpoint it is not balanced and extremely unfair for users who actually contribute.
Regarding the page, I would have expected you to start discussing before deleting half of it. The world records you deleted are all referenced and not nonsense as you stated. Also a question, why have you not contributed to this or other articles - apart from deleting? (ps: No hard feelings) Vsatin (talk) 23:38, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So you're really going to argue that the following comments weren't personal attacks - "You go first delete half an article -on Christmas Day, which I find sad- and then you telling me to go discuss? You think too highly of yourself". If I may say so myself, I contribute a lot in the improvement of articles, which involves both adding and removing content, so that comment from you is not based in reality. Regarding the page, I already have begun a discussion, so again, another comment not based in reality. The world records I removed weren't all referenced, but even if they were, it is irrelevant as the vast majority of the page is trivial information and not encyclopaedic, and you have been invited to discuss this already, so please take this discussion to the talk page of the article. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 10:05, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Dimitris Pappas (footballer, born 1977), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detectedthat when you recently edited List of footballers who achieved hat-trick records, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ferenc Deak. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as FIFA 70th anniversary retrospective awards, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. October 2024

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of world association football records. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Stop restoring your version. Discuss this on the article's talk page and attempt to reach a consensus with other editors. If a consensus cannot be reached then consider following one of the other options in WP:DR. Meters (talk) 05:50, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have not engaged in an edit war by myself, and this is not what I normally do. I did restore referenced content removed by a user who constantly does this without contributing.
But why is it ok for user User:ItsKesha to delete content and keep reverting? Without a warning?
Itskesha deletes content, reverts and... then calls you to discuss. Isnt it sensible that a user would discuss first with users who contributed, before vandalizing tons of content?
Kind regards Vsatin (talk) 07:09, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's not OK for anyone to edit war, but I noticed that you have repeatedly restored your content over the last few days. I suggest that you self-revert and instead start discussing this on the article's talk page. If this goes to WP:AN3 you will likely be blocked. Meters (talk) 07:14, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reply. I can discuss of course, but why only after ItsKesha (talk) deletes content and reverts? Dont you think that it makes sense that an article should remain with its (referenced) content and then a discussion should start, why a user wants to delete it?
ItsKesha proposed the article for deletion and majority voted against his proposal.
And also why a warning just to me and not the other party inovolved? (who started the massive content removing/ vandalism).
Kind regards Vsatin (talk) 07:30, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Meters, with all due respect I would like to ask if it is all fine now that ItsKesha (talk) has (expectedly) reverted back - to his massive deletion of content. And I was wondering why such actions (when a user deletes massive amounts of content, without even having contributed to the article!) are not rollbacked by an admin. In this case we are talking about a user who constantly gets in edit warring, but I am the one to get the warning… Αnd same situation has happened with the aforementioned user and GaryColemanFan, Bonadea, FMSky, Lorry Gundersen, Penepi , Walter Görlitz, EdJohnston, JoelleJay, A Simple Human, Dilbaggg, Sundayclose, and the list is long… I want to think that is that Wikipedia is a community, not a place to start conflicts, and if such behavior seems ok and tolerated, users who actually work would feel discouraged to continue contributing. Vsatin (talk) 15:07, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not involved in the content dispute. Work it out on the article's talk page with the other editors and any other interested parties rather than edit warring. Use dispute resolution if needed.
I warned you because it was your edits I noticed, and it appeared that you were the one who was most egregiously edit warring, and the one who had last reverted. You reverted multiple times in a short period, against more than one other editor. And then you did not self-revert when I asked you to even though you continued to edit. Whether another party was warned does not justify your edit warring. And neither does reverting to the pre-conflict status quo, if that's what was going on. If it had gone to the edit warring board I expect that you would have been blocked. Quite possible you might not have been the only one blocked.
I have no idea what your list of editors means. Is that a list of editors who have deleted your content? Is that a list of editors you have edit warred with? Is that a list of editors who have warned you for edit warring? Is that a list of editors you feel have incorrectly warned you? There are some very experienced editors on your list... if you have had the same issue with all of them you might want to consider that you might be the one in the wrong. Meters (talk) 20:59, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That list mentioned was a sample of a few users that the other party -user ItsKesha- has had conflicts and edit warring in the past. Not me. My point was that I felt it was so unfair for me to get a warning for trying to restore referenced content (after ItsKesha's vandalism and reverts) and not user ItsKesha who frequently gets in edit warring with many users. Kind regards Vsatin (talk) 07:00, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Vsatin,

I noticed that you had made a lot of edits to this article but because you were not the article creator, you were not notified when it was PROD'd for deletion. If you would like to continue to work on this article, you can request it's restoration at WP:REFUND. If not, well, just consider this a notification. Thank you. Liz Read!
