Proposed deletion of Dickhead (Card game)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Dickhead (Card game), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable game.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. —Largo Plazo (talk) 20:25, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Yes Boss FM

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Yes Boss FM requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of Yes Boss FM

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Yes Boss FM, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No indication of notability of the online radio station.

To start, yes, it has to reach a certain notability for an article to be made here in Wikipedia. As your article is on a online radio station, it would fit under the criteria of a Web site. Therefore, a web site should follow the guidelines, as presented here, for an article of Web site to be present here. The guidelines are made so spamming is not presented in Wikipedia, for editors tend to advertise their sites on Wikipedia. Your article has a sense of advertisement, like the line "Yes Boss FM is an young and fun online radio station." I understand that you feel that your article is deleted unfairly but if the description and format of the article does not follow the guidelines, the article will be deleted. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 01:13, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RE

[edit]

What would constitute "certain notability" for a radio station? Tens/hundreds/thousands of listeners? Forgive me if there are guidelines on this which I haven't noticed. I still disagree with the whole "website" thing. Yes Boss FM is a radio station broadcast online that happens to have a website. BBC Radio One is a radio station broadcast online and over airwaves that happens to have a website? What's the difference? The fact that Yes Boss is only online? Well World of Warcraft is a game played online that happens to have a website and I expect that has a Wikipedia article.

I do agree with your statement about "Yes Boss FM is an young and fun online radio station." I admit that it does sound liek I'm trying to advertise the station. I was merely trying to think of a way to best describe the station based on its audience and content. So I apologise for that.

Please let me know if there any other problems with the article that I should be aware of?
