How is this for starters?

Comparison

Similarities:

My character Wolfgang, a scientist, was military trained and a marksman, he is also capable of eliminating anyone that he regards as the enemy. In my book he uses his skills with deadly force on more than one occasion. In Timeless, Wyatt, their character is military, and is trained to eliminate any threats.
My character Brian, also a scientist, is the calmer, more subdued character, primarily none-violent, caring. In Timeless, Rufus, the pilot/scientist is the calmer, more subdued caring character, primarily non-violent.
My character Helena, is the historian initially working for the company operating the time portal, until she falls foul of a corrupt authority figure, which results in her joining Wolfgang and Brian in their endeavour to take action to restore the timeline and eliminate the corrupt authority running their world.
The female historian in Timeless, Lucy, teams up with Wyatt and Rufus to eliminate the corrupt authority running their world.
In both situations they pursue the bad guy that created the time travel technology and try to prevent him from using it to change history.
One clear difference, is that in my book, the bad guy regrets his choice of action and joins the team. In Timeless this character is killed off when he no longer wishes to change history, and is replaced by a younger someone with the same original agenda, who also ends up joining the team.

Common points:

1. Both the Alternatives and the 'Timeless' versions consists of a team made up of two men and a female, one man is military trained shooter, and the other is a scientist, the female is a historian. They endeavour to stop a misguided baddie changing history by interfering with the existing timelines.

2. In 'Alternatives', the characters remember previous timelines only through a strong emotional connection. In 'Timeless' the characters remember previous timelines through strong emotional connections.

In reality, with the creation of a new timeline, for example, where the female never had a sister, she would have no memory of ever having a sister. This concept of retaining previous memories was copied from 'Alternatives' to provide a more emotional storyline.

3. In 'Alternatives', the military trained character demonstrates his marksmanship with a pistol, and in one scene efficiently kills and disposes of a body, in order to create a situation that would aid in the recover his lost love. In 'Timeless' the military character's job is to kill the one they are pursuing, and also contrives to take advantage of the situation to recover his lost love. Similar character concept copied.

4. In 'Alternatives', the scientist is remorseful and reluctantly does what is deemed necessary. In 'Timeless' the scientist character is remorseful and reluctantly does what is deemed necessary.

5. In 'Alternatives', it refers to a ruling elite born from nazi Germany, that should not exist. In 'Timeless', there is also reference to a ruling elite based on the Freemasons, that should not exist.

6. In 'Alternatives', an altered timeline allows Germany to win WW2, allowing it to become a world power, and the character's purpose is to restore the normal timeline and prevent this occurrence. In 'Timeless', a character's purpose is to remove the control of a secret world power, Rittenhouse, by changing the timelines.

7. The baddies created time travel technology in both 'Alternatives' and in 'Timeless'.

8. It states that they cannot revisit a time period, and this rule is in the book 'Alternatives' and also in the 'Timeless' TV series.

9. In 'Alternatives', Brian's family is threatened with harm. In 'Timeless' Rufus's family is threatened with harm.

10. In 'Alternatives', Helena, the female historian loses her close friend that she shares an apartment with, who is into martial arts. In 'Timeless' Lucy loses her sister Amy, that she lives with and cares a great deal about, and who also into martial arts..

11. In 'Alternatives', when the timeline is corrected Helena gets her friend back. In 'Timeless' Lucy hopes that correcting or changing a timeline results in this same result.

12. In 'Alternatives', the military trained sharp shooter character Wolfgang risks his life using the time travel technology, to save the girl he lost. In 'Timeless', the soldier Wyatt takes advantage of the time travel technology, in an attempt to save the wife he lost. 13. In Alternatives, Brian's romantic connection, Celine, becomes mentally aware of a timeline change after emotional physical contact with a time travel member, In Timeless the character Jiya, Rufus's romantic connection also mentally connects to timeline changes after strong emotional physical contact with a time travel member. This was added after contact was attempted regarding the copyright issue.

Regarding the Tigrayan People Liberation Front

I see that you have made changes to my post on the TPLF article. You removed my edit because you claimed that I didn't have a source. While you are right, there is plenty of material in that article that is not sources or dubious and fraudulent source.

Half of all the tagged sources come from one individual's testimony, Aregawi Berhe. This person was a ranking member of this terrorist organization. The other half of the tagged sources are directly from the TPLF regime or websites and papers affiliated with them.

The TPLF is a ethno-religious terror group that believes in the supremacy of their race over other people in Ethiopia. They began as a separatist group in the 1970. But once they got into power, began imposing their will on the Ethiopian people. They have invaded two of the neighboring countries. Killing millions in the process. They use hunger and starvation as a tool of repression. They torture and commit wide spread atrocities again the people of Ethiopia. They hold some of the most absurd 'election' in the world, in which the TPLF and their umbrella groups win 99.97% of the seats. No opposition is allowed in the country. Only fake controlled opposition. There is no freedom of the press.

The TPLF uses savvy western PR agency to control and monitor their image in the West. They hire consultants to publish flattering articles and glowing gable news coverage. I hope you are not one of this people.

The TPLF is a terrorist group. I can provide you with sources but I don't think you actually care about that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.27.0.50 (talk) 20:55, 9 November 2017 (UTC)

Modernism is not a philosophical movement, this is gross error.

Hey I edited the modernism page because it had a bunch of nonsense there. But my changes were edited back to the nonsense version. This is excedingly disturbing. Modernism is not a philosophical movement - that is a lie orchestrated by Jeff Salzman's minions. Can somebody please edit the modernism page because it is godawful. Jeff Salzman's elitist homosexual worldview has stolen the life and soul of this great wikipedia to the point where the whole thing is tainted by their constructivist tirade against words that mean stuff.

People everywhere, you must watch for their sinister edits, or language will be ruined. Here is an example of what these people say and sound like: https://soundcloud.com/daily-evolver/terror-today-feeling-integral-mean-green-fever-dream

They are so assinine, horrendously... Nothing they say means anything - it is emotionalism combined with terse rhetoric as a persistent barrage of the mind and senses to the inferior subject. But most significantly:

They conspire to change the meaning of certain words because they themselves claim they are the pinnacle of human culture in the world.

Can people come together on this issue?

"Modernism" is totally not a philosophy. It is a word pertaining to aesthetics. We can't let them do this to language. They are white and entitled and dress like the muppets. Someone do something, urgently.

I can not provide any citations, unfortunately. My source is hear-say: from Arab speakers.

The statement is meant to be a humorous alternative to the source of the word 'Malayalam'. The Arab origin is possible because the trade with Arabs predates Malayalam itself, and is also a pointer to the complexity of the language itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.167.195.60 (talk) 08:40, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

Dark Matter

What's up, man. I'm dropping compelling scientific hypothesis, I have no source. Let me edit the page, please! I have a likely candidate for what dark matter truly is. Basically, there is a star repeatedly going nova changing everything we thought about stars. The most compelling theory is that there is something of the nature like a magnetar in the core. This would mean that many stars are hiding neutron stars or magnetars throughout the entire universe. This would account for the oddity of behavior observed in galaxies. So... if you don't let me edit the page, I might just make a slobbery mess of myself and cry myself to sleep. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.254.13.40 (talk) 08:56, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

Jim1138,

I received your message regarding the deletion from Chrisette Michele's page. Not sure why you would think my edit was not constructive, but if you're familiar with the artist at all you'd know there's been a great deal of recent news about her label, career and new music. This edit answers questions about the status of the artist and where new music can be found.

Moreover, the information previously listed on the page was factually incorrect. My update was absolutely constructive, it was properly sourced and will help anyone seeking info on the artist. Re: Discussion about Trinity. There is a difference between omniscience (all knowing) and omnisapience (all wise).

In the Trinity article under "Jesus As God" it says the following : "These verses have been quoted to defend the omnipotence of Christ, having all power, as well as the omniscience of Christ, having all wisdom." Technically, there is a difference between omniscience and omnisapience. See the following description- http://www.theopedia.com/wisdom-of-god

To be concise I am trying to best back up the author's intent with describing the difference between all knowing attributes and all wise attributes of the Christian god.

I know it is an obscure word but it is a valid word nonetheless and properly reflects the author's intent to convey the "all wise" attributes. Omnisapience and omnisapient are actual words and I wish more people (believers and unbelievers) knew that they existed so that they could be more precise in their language.

Thank you for considering my edit.

Hello Jim, I made some changes to my wiki page earlier this month to reflect my current citizenship status, my current research interests, and my new publication count (which can be easily looked up from the Google Scholar page). I also added names two of my former PhD students who recently joined academia (with links to their university web pages, so the addition is supported by facts). None of this self-promoting (as unfortunately the tag that you have added indicates.) I would like for the new changes to be put back, and the self-promoting comment to be removed (I hope you are not implying that any changes/updates made by owner of a wiki page is presumed to be self-promoting unless proven otherwise). Dayton Flyers women's basketball

Jim, the info you removed from my edits is all onjective fact. I am a new editor so some forebearance is in order here. Maybe you could send a message asking the person to add citations without removing their work? For instance you removed edits stating that the University of Dayton Arena is undergoing a $75 million upgrade, the charter membership of the North Star Conference, etc. Nothing in my post was subjective. If i had been asked to add citations i would have. The info I added is accurate, and very substantially improved the product. Maybe do a simple Google search (no more effort is involved there than in removing someone's edit, and it isn't hard to verify a $75 million arena upgrade in 2017 within a few seconds), verify simple info, and then ask the other person to cite the edit? And couldn't you remove it if the accuracy can't be quickly verified or if the editor doesnt quickly add the citations? There was no reason to delete simple facts like those cited above (and they were accurate), and not give the editor a chance to add the credits without doing all of the work. And there were mistakes that i corrected in the original article that had somehow slipped through the editing process (3 WNITs instead of 4, etc). I see that Wikipedia has lost 20,000 editors...if people's work is treated like this, especially when the arr first starting out, I can see why. This was my first taste of working with Wikipedia. Not a good one. Work with people a little. You can still do that and protect the accuracy of the info. Create an encouraging environment for newcomers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RobertBush (talkcontribs) 22:03, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

Cow protection movement

I may as well note here, I have no axe to grind regarding this issue.

As I said on Talk:Bull, " think if right to eat beef (and the flesh of every animal but man)..."

But I think it is proper to replace "broadly opposed by Muslims" with "opposed by many Muslims".

No citation (such as a poll) was provided by the first claim, so in my opinion it is one that is unsourced.

It is clear that it is not uncommon for Muslims in Indian history to respect Hindu sentiments by refraining from beef-eating and cow killing; as the article itself makes clear, under the Muslim rule (under some of the more liberal rulers), cow killing was sometimes even illegal.

That is why I think the edit appropriate-it makes the fewest assumptions.

There were Muslims even at the time willing to respect Hindu sentiments on this issue

Please let me know what you think of this proposed edit. -70.190.102.49 (talk) 19:38, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

You had replaced "was broadly opposed by" with "antagonized". Wikipedia goes by what wp:reliable sources state. Please keep the information inline with that and word it accordingly. Opposing, yet willing to respect are not necessarily opposites. It would appear to be covered by the Shabnum Tejani citation. If it is not, then it should be tagged {{cn}}. We should not use wp:original research. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 21:03, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Also, I did not see your IP on Talk:Bull. Jim1138 (talk) 21:09, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Cordray update

The OSC investigation is absolutely relevant o his resignation and needs to be clear to folks one preceded the other by exactly 30 days. These are pertinent facts and should be made known to all viewers for basic civility and thorough transparency in such a high profile agency. As the ex-officio Union President for the CFPB we want to absolutely transparent with employees and consumers so they understand all factors going on at the CFPB as the President decides a new leader.

Feel free to discuss with me. I am most familiar with the CFPB after working there 5 years and disability retiring this year. I happen to have a unique perspective, testified in front on Congress and led the Union during the start up of the CFPB as the First President.

he has resigned, and his OSC investigation played a part. Both happened at the end at the same time. Therefore, whether tied together directly or by osmosis, they are integral to the reason he resigned early.

Appreciate it,

Rob C. hogfnajax — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hogfanjax (talkcontribs) 17:23, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

@Hogfanjax: I fail to make the connection that the OSC investigation had anything to do with his resignation. Adding it as such is wp:synthesis and should not be used. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 20:55, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
It is not connected but should be mentioned....fair is fair.
Rob Hogfanjax (talk) 21:59, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
@Hogfanjax: Please keep threads in one section. I moved yours here from below.
If it is not associated with his resignation, then it should not be mentioned as if it were. I removed your addition of Richard Cordray then resigned just over 30 says later. That is conflating the investigation with his resignation. Unless you can cite an RS supporting the two, it is wp:SYNTHESIS. Jim1138 (talk) 22:52, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

YOU made a mistake

I edited the content on General Nicholson because the EIB (Expert Infantry Badge) is no longer authorized once the CIB (Combat Infantry Badge) has been awarded.

If you are more knowledgeable of AR 670-1, then let me know. I was a Battery Clerk in the Army and was one of the first to have a copy of this Army Regulation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.167.113.116 (talk) 02:21, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Sri Lanka Muslims

I edited the content cos its misleading and false and has been written to convey the wrong picture of the origins and ethnicity of the Muslims of Sri Lanka. Have you ever asked the original poster ro provide his evidence yet? All the references quoted DO NOT support his statements if you care to read them carefully. We have to set the record straight to make Wiki a credible source of information. The writers are only trying to justify their claim for a separate state in Sri Lanka by insisting that the Muslims are also an integral part of the Tamil community, which is totally false. Please see http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~lkawgw/ethnomoor.html which the writers have chose not to reference at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.51.126.102 (talk) 06:01, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Dear Jim1138

What I added is fully authentic. Professor Dr. A.B.M Abdullah is a renowned and wellknown figure in the field of Medicine not only in Bangladesh but also in the world. He is the Dean of Faculty of Medicin and a professor of Medicine of BSMMU, the highest medical University of Bangladesh. He is a author of numerous books in the field of medical science/Medicine which are widely taught in many medical schools/Universities. You can searched his biography in searcing in Google. What I quoted there, all are genuine and authentic, u can also verify his profile by searching in the net. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.17.68.2 (talk) 10:27, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Per wp:verifiability significant content needs to wp:cite a wp:reliable source. The lack of citations for what you added is why I undid your edits. They have been archived in the wp:page history. Wikipedia policy is to mention one's degrees and positions, but not to use "professor", "Dr.", etc. See wp:credential and wp:honorifics regarding policy. Also, if one is "renowned" it is not necessary to add it to their article. This is known as wp:puffery. The person should stand on their own accomplishments without the need to add puffery. Updating with more accurate content

There is more accurate information on Team8 than what is currently being written.

Please see below and consider updating the existing copy. Team8 is not a cyber security company with its own products. it is a think tank and company creation platform. Team8 builds cybersecurity companies. Ronni Zehavim is not a founder but rather a strategic advisor https://www.team8.vc/member/ronni-zehavi/ . Thank you for your consideration.

I suggest the copy is updated as follows — I include the references below.

Team8 is a cyber security think-tank and company creation platform with hubs in Tel Aviv and New York.[1] It was founded by the former leadership of the Israeli Defense Force's cyber intelligence unit 8200.[2] Team8’s Research Lab develops solutions in partnership with their strategic partners and investors including Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors and Marker LLC, Bessemer Partners, AT&T, Cisco, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Singapore’s Temasek, Japan’s Mitsu.[3]

Team8 launched Illusive Networks, Claroty, Hysolate and Sygnia.[4]

I am new to editing content in Wikipedia. So sorry for not making any reason for the change make. Next time I will try to be careful on that.

Jim you reverted to a wiki entry that was unsourced and misleading. The wiki page was modified to prevent confusion that resulted from multiple definitions being merged. Controversy

Hello, Thanks for making that comment on the Nancy Jo Sales article. I read the article that was used as a source in the controversy section and found the same information that i posted within. The school clearly stated that they asked her to leave, and then she claimed that she wanted to leave. The other information from my edit was hard to cite because it was from eyewitness accounts from both students and staff that were preset during the presentation. I tried to only use facts that were corroborated by all of the people I talked to.

Tie Domi edit

I added on a short section to Tie Domi's page that stated the fact that Domi is one of the shortest (if you go on the wikipedia page for enforcers and sort by height he's literally at the very bottom) but most effective (the fact that he's one of the best known goons in hockey is stated in the same page if not same paragraph multiple) enforcers in the sport, and it was taken down by being "non verifiable"

Of all the things to complain about, you accuse it of being non verifiable when it's literally just remarking on other things that are seen within the same article. That's absurd, and while I suppose it could be removed (I don't agree with it, but it is what it is), striking it is not right.

here's a source for bonus http://www.prohockey-fans.com/hockey-articles/top-10-goons_062608.html

Badagas

Hi, Wrong history is projected on 'Badagas' page. Badagas are made up of many clans. Earlier contributor seems to project a particular Baduga clan which is incorrect. Also he is trying to project his personal website as reference. Mention of King Kala is incorrect as there is no king among Badagas community. He is not a Badaga king but a Kadamba kind. Inscriptions referecne are being made as if founf in Nilgiris but they are found in Chamrajnagar and Terkanambi. Hope the information provided by anyone is not personalised whatsoever.

Halloumi

The reason I changed the text of "Halloumi" is because the cheese was first made during the Byzantine period by Greek-Cypriots, therefore is of greek origin. No turkish-cypriot minority existed back then in Cyprus. They adopted halloumi from the Greeks in their culture centuries later when the Ottoman empire invaded Cyprus. Naming Halloumi as Hellim and call it Turkish is disrespectful and a violation of copyright. What's next? Are we going to change Aphrodite to Hatise and call her Turkish?

Nowadays they made a creation of cooking as a political matter in order to create a peaceful country between the too sides. But peace cannot be achieved by "stealing" the culture of another or by changing historical facts. Culture and politics in Cyprus should not be merged.

The text that you corrected is based on the political matters of the European Union. But it is not based on the historic facts of the cheese. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.241.155.2 (talk) 11:19, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

Halloumi

Translation in English In Cyprus, it was already known before the Turkish occupation of the island in 1571. In the file published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus, Leonardo Dona, who lived in Cyprus, refers to calumi in his manuscript 1556. [1] With regard to the etymology of the word, there are two versions: a) that it is derived from the ancient Greek word ἅlmi and b) it originates from the ancient Egyptian through the cutter ialom.
