Vandalism
[edit]Hi Sampi, I saw your remark on User talk:212.219.92.213. What is the common way of dealing with vandalism on this version of wikipedia? On nl: we put a yellow mark on a page if it's a school, so I did this here also (using spyderweb.nl as IP-tracker), but I don't know if this is OK. Could you help me out? Sympohonic Metal
[edit]Last i checked i pasted merge from and to tags to both Opera Metal and Oriental Metal, into Symphonic Metal. Someone else must of deleted one.
Raising the issue is something i generally dont do, i propose it using Merge tags, as thats what i learned to do. Other than that, how do u yourself feel about the mergings, as im considering just voting Opera Metal for an AFD and then redirecting it. Ley Shade 07:28, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

User: Deathrocker Commiting Serial Vandalism And Personal Attacks
[edit]I have a problem with a user who is openly vandalisng musical articles including blanking, reverting any edit made to articles, POV pushing, ignoring WP:NPOV, personal attacks in edit summaries, and possible internet trolling.
Below is a revert war i have been involved with this user, [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18], [19], [20], [21], [22], [23], [24], [25], [26], [27], [28], [29], [30], [31], [32], [33], [34].
I stopped during this point to make comment twice on the articles talk page to the user, asking for co-operation and discussion of changes in line with Wikipedia policys, and also provided the NPOV tutorial and explained deliberatly blanking pages is vandalism, [35], [36].
I went on to make several minor edits to the article over an hour to make it less biased to any view, the cumulation of those efforts being here [37]. Immediatly the user went back to vandalisng the page starting another revert war that is in progress as i type this, using the edit summaries for personal attacks, [38], [39], [40], [41], [42], [43], [44], [45], [46].
The user then went on to try to delete the article by claiming a merger when there was no dispute on this, which i reverted due to it being vandalism [47], [48]. This was a bad veiling though as the user never merged the articles, and instead redirected Goth Music to Goth Rock instead [49].
This user did not stop at the Gothic Music article though, he also went on to incite a revert war on the Nu Metal article, removing sourced information that User:WesleyDodds, a respectable and highly experienced involved with the article reverted. [50], [51], [52], [53]. This user then went on to vandalise the page using blanking and internet trolling methods, ignoring NPOV and i quote in this paticulat edit summary saying You are a prick to myself [54], the edit war is on these diffs, [55], [56], [57], [58], [59], [60], [61], [62], [63], [64], [65], [66].
This user has ignored all offers to work peacefully and seems instistant on blanking articles that dont agree solely with their POV and then Deleting them through a paper trail of redirects if he cannot force his POV on them. I ask for assistance in this manner before the user causes any further harm. Ley Shade
Sockpuppet Vandal
[edit]I call attention to the edit war on Classic Metal and the ongoing argument onthis section. A user is using a Sockpuppet to vandalise and openly violate the 3RR rule on articles hes been edit warring on. Hes also trying to get users and admins who dont support him permenantly blocked from Wikipedia on the basis 'They will most likely modify the contents of other articles in the future'. Please step in before this gets any further out of hand, as ive already violated WP:3RR through reverting their vandalism and pen violation of six policys, (WP:3RR, WP:BITE, WP:CITE, WP:NOR, WP:NPOV, WP:SOCK}. [edit]Buenas, me dejaron este mensaje en mi página de discusión y pensé que podría interesarle a usted también:
- Desde hace un tiempo he venido cabilando con la idea de fundar un capítulo Colombiano de la Wikimedia Foundation, y para esto necesito de los comentarios y de la ayuda de los posibles interesados.
- La idea del capítulo es formar una organización sin ánimo de lucro dentro de la legislación colombiana. Muy probablemente una Fundación sea el tipo de entidad más acorde a los objetivos planteados.
- La invitación es para inscribir su nombre en la página de la propuesta sin ningún compromiso. También recibo comenentarios allá o en mi página de discusión sobre cualquier inquietud que tenga lugar.
- En la página de la propuesta también se podrá encontrar un borrador de los posibles estatutos de la Fundación, los objetivos planteados, etc. y está abierta a cualquier tipo de contribuciones e inquietudes. Las ideas incluyen desde la canalización de fondos para la Wikimedia Foundation (los found raisings) hasta varios proyectos de promoción del conocimiento libre en Colombia (tanto por medio de los proyectos de Wikimedia, como por otros proyectos basados o no en tecnologías Wiki). Sin duda un objetivo interesante será la promoción de las lenguas indígenas colombianas con el objetivo adicional de empoderar a las culturas que las hablan de herramientas informáticas que no sean percibidas como alienantes.
- Si conoce de algún otro colombiano que pueda estar interesado, no sólo wikipedistas o colaboradores de Wikimedia, agradezco la difución de este mensaje.

Pena de muerte en Colombia

- Estoy cofundido, hay varias partes de la lista. Una parte es de los paises que han abolido la pena de muerte, otra es de los paises en las que es legal y no la usan, y la ultima es paises en que es legal y la usan. - Venga le aclaro. La primera sección es de los países que la han abolido con excepciones (por ejemplo para delitos en tiempo de guerra), tipo Brasil o Israel, pero no Colombia ni la mayoría de Europa. La segunda es para los países donde es legal y no la usan, tipo Rusia. La tercera es donde es legal y sí la usan, tipo EEUU o China. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too.
