Welcome!
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, PSAntaal, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that some of your recent edits, such as the ones to the page Banda Singh Bahadur, show an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.
Did you know that ...
- ...wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
- ...most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
- ...wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
- ...freely-licensed images should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images where they can be used on all Wikipedia projects?
- ...we recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process - at least until you get the hang of things?
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{Help me}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

My edits and contribution are being reverted....why?
[edit]My contribution in this article which is as "After a meeting with Tenth Sikh Guru. sh. Guru Gobind Singh he turned to sikhism and becomes a sikh. Then The guru ordered him to go to punjab and fight the mughals with the help of Sikhs. After this the new era of his life starts."and a edit in which i replace the" revolted oppressed Hindus " with "Sikh army" are being reverted. may i know the reason. Please clarify that what is wrong in these two edits and they are true why are you removing these. thanks PSAntaal (talk) 07:06, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hey PSAntaal, it seems that I accidentally removed some of your edits when I removed the image you were trying to insert, I apologize for that. When editing Wikipedia, please keep in mind that:
- Anyone can edit Wikipedia, so your edits may be modified or removed by anyone else.
- You can look at the article's revision history by clicking the link in the upper right of the page that says View History, to check who has made the changes. Editors often explain why the changes were made.
- Facts included in articles must be supported by reliable sources
- Articles must follow Wikipedia's Manual of Style
I invite you to read this guide to learn more about editing and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. --– sampi (talk•contrib•email) 07:44, 26 July 2014 (UTC) Please, if you remove any edit ,post your clarification on articles talk page so that everyone can see your view.PSAntaal (talk) 07:50, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
- Yes of course, like I said, my removal of the text was unintentional, I only wanted to remove the image. Again, I apologize. You can see in the article's revision history that another editor removed the text added. Cheers --– sampi (talk•contrib•email) 07:58, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
Its ok. But may i know why you remove that picture which is far better than the picture of that statue.PSAntaal (talk) 08:07, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
- The reason the picture was removed is because it was just a link to an image in another website. Pictures included in Wikipedia have to be uploaded to Wikimedia (see this guide). Also, keep in mind that Wikipedia can't accept images that are do not have a free license (except in some cases for fair use). You can read more about Wikipedia's image policy here. --– sampi (talk•contrib•email) 08:13, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 08:04, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
