Unspecified source for Image:556608 82067258.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:556608 82067258.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Icarus (Hi!) 07:06, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edits concerning a name

[edit]

You changed a person's name (Cecily Barmore) on a couple pages; do you have a source that shows that she was legally adopted by Chapman? Her father is apparently still alive; he would have had to give permission for her name to be changed. If you follow this family's antics at all you may have noticed that some of them go by different names at different times, no matter what their legal name actually is. Duke53 | Talk 05:34, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Starting pages for each member of the Chapman clan is not encyclopedic. I am fairly certain that they will be deleted forthwith. Duke53 | Talk 23:53, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I created several articles of the children of Duane Chapman and Beth Smith. How come there deleted. Anybody that is currently in a TV show and has en IMDB entry is worth wile to have article created on. Can you please help me. Generally, children of actors or actresses aren't really considered notable, unless they have their own claims to fame. Listing pages for each actor's or actress' children isn't usually considered encyclopedic. –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 01:06, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted articles

[edit]

No all actors are notable enough to have encyclopedia articles. Since Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, being on television isn't enough to be notable. Articles that don't assert the importance of their subject are at risk of being deleted at any time, which is likely what happened in this case. — Saxifrage 00:09, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've declined mediation. The only article I deleted was Gary Chapman TV. The other articles were deleted by other admins, some of them twice after they were recreated. If you want to appeal the deletion, see Deletion review. — Saxifrage 00:56, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chapman family

[edit]

The article Cecily Chapman has been or soon will be deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a subject but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. See also the guidelines on notability for biographical articles. Thanks, Chris talk back 01:13, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spam

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Tattoo, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. Veinor (ヴエノル) 22:16, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Shannon Larratt. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 22:17, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What more can you tell me about the provenance of this file? I want to be absolutely sure that it is within copyright. Who made the picture, when, under what circumstances, and why? And do you have a ticket number filed with the Wikimedia Foundation clearing this picture? Thanks in advance, Herostratus 04:01, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have released this into the public domain as the "creator of the work". I have a couple of questions about this. At the top, it says "CDTS, Inc.". Are you CDTS Inc. or do you have authority to release their work into the public domain? And if so, why would you want to do this?

We now have an WP:OTRS ticket system. All things considered, I think it'd be best if you submit future uploads to this system. If this is or is not agreeable to you, and regarding your answers to the above questions, I await your reply. Herostratus 04:23, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
