Welcome

[edit]

Hi Jessgutman! Welcome to Wikipedia. My name is Stacey and I'm your Wikipedia Campus Ambassador. If you need any help you can always write after this message or write on my talk page. There will be a link for it after my name. Good job on making an account and adding it to the course page. One thing you'll want to do for week four is to add a brief bio on your User Page. If you need any help on this you can ask me on my talk page. Semccraw (talk)Semccraw

Hi again Jessgutman! I just wanted to remind you to add four tildes (~) after writing on someone's talk page. This signs your name and date for you! Thanks! Semccraw (talk) 18:19, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Jessgutman. I'm sending you my email. It's smccraw@email.arizona.edu. Thanks! Semccraw (talk) 15:37, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia My name is Jim, and I edit here with the username of "Cullen328". I've been contributing to Wikipedia for 2-1/2 years now. I am an Online Ambassador, and I have offered to help students in the class you are in, Language Development. Please feel free to ask me any questions at all about editing Wikipedia.

There are many helpful resources available for new Wikipedia editors. One that I like is WP:PRIMER, which is a one-stop introduction intended to help newcomers to better understand the basics of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The best advice that I can give you to learn how to be a good Wikipedia editor is to actually edit articles, edit talk pages and edit your own user pages. Add high quality references to articles, improve the accuracy and improve the prose, and everyone here will sing your praises. Feel free to visit my user page and my talk page, and feel free to ask any question at any time. Thank you.

Citations

[edit]

Hi Jessgutman! I was checking out your sandbox and saw that you added some content. Great job! One thing though that will make it easy to transition into an article though is to make a citation for that reference. I saw that you posted the link and viewed that but it's really important to get more information about it than just the link. Try to find the author, title, date published, date that you accessed it, and supporting website at least. If you need any help with this, you can write on my talk page. Thanks!
