A tag has been placed on User:Jerrystonxy, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright, notability, and conflict of interest

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions. It appears that you have created or edited an article about yourself. However, the following problems exist with your submission:

  1. You cannot post copyrighted material on Wikipedia - even if you are the copyright holder - unless the material has been released for use by the verified copyright owner into the public domain or under a license compatible with Wikipedia. These licenses allow anyone — not just Wikipedia — to share, distribute, transmit, and adapt your work, free of charge and in perpetuity, provided that you are attributed as the author. Also, because some derivative works may be commercial, we cannot accept materials that are licensed only for educational use or even for general non-commercial use. Releasing the material is both permanent and irrevocable.
  2. Wikipedia does not include up-and-coming artists. We require that people meet our notability criteria to be deemed worthy of inclusion. This means you must have already been the subject of significant coverage by multiple sources that are both reliable and independent. Self-authored sources (such as press releases, interviews and social media) are defined as self-published and therefore not reliable. For musicians, Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources is a good place to find out which sources are deemed reliable and which are not.
  3. Writing about yourself is highly discouraged, as it a conflict of interest (COI). It is an inherently difficult task to judge your own notability objectively, and write about yourself from required neutral point of view and only use information from third-party source. Please note that writing with the intention to promote yourself is strictly prohibited.
  4. You wrote the content on your userpage, which has specific guidelines. The purpose of a userpage is for you to write a small amount about yourself and your interests and goals as they relate to editing Wikipedia. It isn't a personal website or social media page, or as previously mentioned, a space to promote yourself or your work.

I'm sorry that this message was not more favourable. If you require more assitance, please consult the Help Desk or the Teahouse for new editors. Thank you for your cooperation, and best of luck with your future edits. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:15, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
