Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Animated Soul Train opening titles, by Closedmouth (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Animated Soul Train opening titles is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Animated Soul Train opening titles, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. A tag has been placed on Elroy Jetson (The Jetsons), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tom and Jerry: A Little Learning

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tom and Jerry: A Little Learning, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Tom and Jerry: A Little Learning. Proposed deletion of The Popeye and Olive Show (Hanna-Barbera)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Popeye and Olive Show (Hanna-Barbera), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. A tag has been placed on Rug Doctor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Rug Doctor and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ecoleetage (talk) 18:45, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Rug Doctor

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Rug Doctor, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Independent reliable coverage needed to satisfy WP:N.

This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page.

If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hi there, I'm part of the New pages patrol, and, as such, I came across your article. Firstly, I'd like to compliment you- it's a fine article and I remember watching the series as a child, so it's funny to see it on wikipedia, though it seems worthy of an article! Anyhow, I just wanted to suggest that you add in some in-line citations in order to verify the information in the article. This should make it a better article and protect it from merciless removal, merging or deletion. Anything I can do to help, I'll do my best, so leave a note on my talk page! Regards, HJ Mitchell (talk) 19:08, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated articles are Direct-to-video released films based on Tom and Jerry cartoons, The Scooby-Doo DTV Movies. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to the relevant discussion pages: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Direct-to-video released films based on Tom and Jerry cartoons for Direct-to-video released films based on Tom and Jerry cartoons, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Scooby-Doo DTV Movies for The Scooby-Doo DTV Movies. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:04, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Hannabarberaannieaward.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hannabarberaannieaward.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Train2104 (t • c) 22:14, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 12:14, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Jerrylewis528. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jerry Lewis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sean Hayes (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Unspecified source/license for File:Mda2018logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mda2018logo.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 22:00, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:JerryLewis1957.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:DECORATIVE use of a non-free screenshot in Jerry Lewis#1950s. This screenshot itself is neither the subject of any sourced critical commentary within the article nor is it needed for the reader to understand the article content about the movie The Sad Sack; therefore, the context required by WP:NFCC#8 is completely lacking. Moreover, claiming "Not really sure" as the purpose for non-free use really indicates that this file can be omitted from the article without any being detrimental to the reader's understanding in any way.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:18, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have also prodded File:JerryLewis1970.jpg, File:JerryLewis1961.jpg, File:JerryLewis1981.jpg and File:JerryLewis1993.jpg for pretty much the reasons as given above. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:20, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Mda2016logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mda2016logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:30, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:1985muttmore.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:1985muttmore.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Non-free rationale for File:1985muttmore.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:1985muttmore.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Image without license

Unspecified source/license for File:1981pinkatfirst.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:1981pinkatfirst.png. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those.

--MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 14:45, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:1963nuttprofessor.jpg

[edit]

FYI: I tagged File:1963nuttprofessor.jpg for deletion because it is copyrighted screenshot uploaded under a claim of fair use, but the free-license equivalent image File:The Nutty Professor 1963 (publicity photo, Lewis and Stevens - cropped).jpg can be used for the same purpose. It will be deleted in seven days per section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

You clearly have a dedicated interest in Jerry, so I didn't want to leave an impersonal boilerplate notice. It's nothing personal, it just comes down to Wikipedia's inherent preference to avoid using copyrighted material whenever a free-license equivalent is available. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks. —BLZ · talk 18:24, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Yogibear50s.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Yogibear50s.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:48, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Billandjoe.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Billandjoe.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 19:19, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
