Hello again Cymru.lass! Thanks for all you say. I really need to be "talking" to someone. I've read a good deal of the Wikipedia material and still am lost. You are certainly helping. Before I follow up on your two avenues that you suggest, let me lay out a few things. There is no payment regarding this desire I have for Lisa to appear in Wikipedia. The conflict of interest is that we are long-time collaborators (27 years) in artistic work as Lisa Fay and Jeff Glassman Duo. Our artistic fates are interconnected. I have had a Wiki page for a long time, since 2006. I don't know where it came from - possibly from students at The Evergreen State College where I teach from time to time. I just don't know. It began with several glaring factual errors which I corrected and put my name to the corrections. It's all very short. For a long time I've felt a person searching for Lisa Fay ought to find information on Lisa's importance - in our work together and also in her work independent of our duo - and that she has a remarkable history of contribution to social issues theatre and experimental theatre. So now I'm doing something about it. There are other people who would do this, some I know and there are some I don't know. But how to begin? So I delved into it myself, and found the conflict of interest descriptions and see clearly that I'm not the person to do this, but other people don't necessarily think of it, or think they could have access to making a Wiki entry...I just don't know. I have no problem of course making a CoI claim...does that exclude me from helping or being a source of information? I'm looking at the two ways of proceeding you suggest. Is one better than the other? There is the concern that the information about Lisa Fay is something I have at hand and ready to go or write, whereas someone else would have to work at it and might not understand what they find. Can I be a consultant? So Request Articles, or, Articles for Creation...which do you suppose for starters? If you know people at Krannert, we might very well know them too! Our duo is in residence at Krannert, working on a new production we're creating. As you say, small world. All the best, and thanks again very much for your help in this! Jeff

Help me!

[edit]
I'm trying to learn. Hello. I made a draft in my sandbox with the name Lisa Fay, i.e. Draft: Lisa Fay. I've been waiting for it to be edited (I think) and I noticed in the conflict of interest box on the draft there is a link that seems to ask that the draft be given a name. It might have been a misunderstanding on my part, but I clicked on that link, and then it went to a blank page of some sort, and I typed in Lisa Fay. Was that the wrong thing to do? I suppose so. If now I should just wait, that's what I'll continue to do. I know I shouldn't be making this page. I want to get it started and then see if someone without a conflict would pick it up.

Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... I'm trying to find out why a page that has been on Wikipedia for fifteen years is suddenly gone. The page is Jeff Glassman, a theatre artist, and that's me. I don't understand. Thanks. Bubby (talk) 04:55, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jeff Glassman the article Jeff Glassman was deleted 27 September 2021 as "G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion". KylieTastic (talk) 08:32, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Restored, but needs work. However, if the article is about you, you should not edit directly. Instead, on the Talk page, propose and submit suggestions for changes. David notMD (talk) 10:28, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, because of the Lisa draft, you need to declare on your User page that you have a personal connection to Lisa (do not need details, just that you know and work with Lisa).David notMD (talk) 10:30, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Liz! It seems there is not the required documentation to establish a page for Lisa Fay (theatre artist). I appreciate you attention and explanation and to know it can be undeleted in the future as documentation evolves. Thank you!
