90210

If you want a list of the cast, that's your decision. I mean, the only reason some of the Smallville pages have the list is because it helps keep the infobox out of the episode table section while the page is still underdeveloped and doesn't have a full lead (which would naturally keep the infobox from bleeding into the episode table). Otherwise, for the pages that don't the main cast is typically listed in the lead so we don't usually feel the need to relist them later. My question is really about the importance special guest and regular guest stars. It seems more arbitrary to me to list them. Are you listing every guest star? If you're just cherry picking then it's a list of favorite actors really, as guest stars include everyone that gets their name in the opening credits (not the title credits, but what appears after that). Even then, what makes them special? IMDB already keeps an extensive list of everyone that has a credit in any given episode. That's just my opinion. You work the page so it's really up to you and the rest of those editors as to whether those list of names are truly important enough to require additional listing.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:58, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Page should be ordered out of basic structure that follows most film and TV articles. Lead, plot, production, reception, home media, miscellaneous (not an actual misc. section, but if you have anything else then it'll probably be at the end). As for the Cast list, as I said I've only included them to keep the infobox out of the way until the article is completed and that list is no longer needed. I know some recent featured lists and some featured articles have put episodes last, but in a recent discussion at WT:MOSTV, it was decided that the structure should have episodes first. They're there to provide the context for the real world info, which you lose if they are last, and most people just come to read that anyway. As for more sourced info, I'm not sure how to help. The problem is that 90210 is on The CW, which means it doesn't get nearly the coverage as it would if it was on say ABC, CBS, or NBC. Smallville is different because for 7 years it had companion books that detailed all the production info (which at least lent itself to season articles), and then afterward it became one of those "longest running shows" that started to get more attention from web-based sources. List of one tree hill characters

I changed the following things (as I believe it's better like this):

- episode count (lots of episode counts were incorrect, I watched all the episodes and wrote down in which episode which characters appeared so my episode counts are correct)
- after episode count, I put all the episodes they appeared in (which I think is a good edit)
- I only used the name they were normally referred to as the heading of a character, for example, Jamie Scott (instead of James Lucas Scott) and then I put his full name in the information (James Lucas "Jamie" Scott ......(
- I put every character whose actor starred as "Guest Starring" and appeared in 3 episodes or more and every character whose actor tonly starred as "Co-Starring" and appeared in ten episodes or more under Recurring Characters
- under "Guest Characters" I've put all the characters whose actors were credited under "Guest Starring" and have appeared only in 1 or 2 episodes
- I changed the order of the Former Main Characters, in the order in which they were put into the show (so in this order: Lucas, Peyton, Dan, Whitey, Keith, Karen, Deb, Skills, Rachel)

List of One Tree Hill characters

This article is once again undergoing edit warring. It's encouraging that you are talking, but the two of you are not talking enough. I know that in the past he would not talk at all, but that seems to have changed, and at this point you cannot regard his actions as vandalism. You both need to take the conversation to the article's talk page and to reach consensus on how to develop it. If the two of you cannot agree, you get others involved. See Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. You can do WP:3RR or you can neutrally ask for feedback at a project page.

I have temporarily shut down the article. I do not know which of you edited it last; it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter which of you is right. I think all of the characters, except for Olivia and Ethan Copeland, are notable enough to be listed under "Other Characters", for they all appeared in at least 4 episodes and were a part of story line. ok, I won't add them, but I still think they could be mentioned there. thanks for the comment about Jake, in my opinion the order is in which episode they first appeared in, and if that's the same for some characters, they should be listen in the order in which they were credited in (for example Jake, Tim, Jimmy, Junk and Fergie all appeared in the first episode, but Jake was the only one credited as guest star, so he should be first, Jimmy, Tim and Junk were credited as Co-Starring in that order and Fergie wasn't credited at all, so they should be listed in that order) I really like what you're doing to the lay-out of the page! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.84.5.47 (talk) 18:18, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

it is never stated that Lydia's name is Lydia Brigard-James, only that her maiden name was Brigard, so we have to put it as Lydia James, née Brigard. Stephen Colletti - Cast Regular

Hey, I saw that you removed the "Starring" section on the 90210 (season 3) page and on the Gossip Girl (season 4) page but expanded the lead? It's no problem, but I just thought having a starring section would be better, it would be more organized to have it all in one section but also the other pages for the previous seasons of 90210 and Gossip Girl have a starring section so I thought it would make more sense to keep in line with the style/organization of those pages. Hey, I was just editing the My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 2 page and noticed that it didn't have a "preceded by My Super Psycho Sweet 16" section in the infobox. Then I checked around to other film pages that have had sequels and saw that those sections in the infobox were gone as well. I don't think it's important if she is credited or not. She appeared in many episodes in season 2 and in an episode in season 3, so I think she's recurring. Yes, Mariah's voice was obviously never capable of a long tour. After practically every tour, her voice deteriorated even more :(. Well, I might have gotten closer, but she lip-sanc at Disney since it was a lot of re-shoot, Alan Carr was live :D Yes, I love Britney, and I like some of her new album, but I don't like all the over-usage of electronic stuff on her voice. I understand TVLine is reliable, and I understand a lot of other sources are reliable. But we can't add anyone to the Judges list like they are confirmed on the X Factor USA article until they officially are -- which means Fox. So far Fox has yet to make one, so until they do we have to wait. Sorry, but we didn't allow L.A. Reid and Cheryl Cole to be added to the judges sections or for Nicole and Steve to be added to the host section until Fox confirmed it, and it's going to be the same situation with Paula. Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle

Hey, I added Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle in the "Regulars" section on the Gossip Girl season 5 page because as far as I know, they are still series regulars. They were billed as such in the season 5 press release by The CW, and either way, all cast members are contracted through season six, unless they are let go like Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr. Hey, why did you change the order of the cast on the Gossip Girl page? I understand that Kaylee DeFer was a recent addition to the cast, but in the press release she was billed before Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle. Then explain to me why a character who does not appear in every season of the series gets to have a page but Annie who is the main character does not. If that the case then why doesnt Donna Martin or Brenda Walsh have a page. At least Donna who appeared in every season of Beverly Hills, the first two episodes of Melrose Place and again two episodes of 90210 should have a page with a picture. I also think we have to make the biographies of the main characters shorter, especially those of the characters that have their own pages. Sheila Bennett, just like Logan Fell and Rose, only appeared in five episodes. Jules and Jonas Martin appeared in six episodes and you put them at guest stars, so Sheila, Logan and Rose, who appeared in less episodes should also be put under guest stars. Season 7/8 DVD Cover

Ok, more bad news!!!

This looks like it is going to be the season 8 dvd cover! :( And while I was looking up information about the season, I also found out that the Season 8 DVD will NOT have a box set/cover like the previous 7 have, instead it will be in the a normal DVD case like the Australian versions are in! :( I'm so angry with Warner Brothers right now! Guidelines

Are you asking about a guideline specifically for lists that states that recurring guests/special guests should not have a page for themselves? If so, then there isn't any such guideline or policy. The only relevant guideline or policy would be the same ones that govern all articles: notability, verifiability, and reliable sources. UPDATE

So I have been doing some digging, and have been talking to some OTH websites on Twitter, and they feel the DVD release wont be until the end of 2011, as the new season starts back in January. It does make sense to, as Warner Brothers did the same thing for the season 4 DVD, they released it in December, as the new season (5) was returning as a mid season (January) show. The press release states a spring 2012 start date and certainly not all readers will be aware of the definition of mid-season. I think it's valuable to add in brackets. Guest stars

It depends on how the page is set up. For instance, with Characters of Smallville, the only ones listed in "prose" are the ones that have real world commentary go to with their plot summaries. The "list" are those relevant characters that don't have the real world commentary to go with the in-universe information. Thus, if I cannot support the in-universe stuff then I don't include them as "prose". BTW, if you prefer I respond on my page just let me know. To answer you original question, I would say that it isn't necessary. If there is a prose section on the cast then I personally think that a list is just redundant. As for those other articles, at a glance they all look ok. I'm sure they need sprucing, but you have a good amount of info, because GA is for "broad" coverage and not "comprehensive". I would not that I didn't see sources for Gossip Girl for explaining where the titles of the episodes come from. Now, it's probably obvious that the titles are plays on those films, but if there isn't a reliable source saying that the title was intentionally drawn from those films then it's technically unsourced information.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 15:47, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Just go to WP:GAN, and it has a step-by-step layout for how to nominate. Only nominate 1 or 2 at a time. One Tree Hill

Hi.

I started yesterday, cleaning up the articles of One Tree Hill, starting with its seasons. Starting from season One, the seasons will be standardized, will receive a new infobox: Template:Infobox television season. Plot spoilers will be no longer be in summary (they shoul stay in Overview) in order to keep it clean. "Starring" and "Recurring" will be subsections of "Cast". The episodes list will be reformulated. From left to right it will contain: №, #, Title, Directed by, Written by, U.S. viewers (millions), Original air date and Production code. Also, the top line, which contains the title of the episode, will lost the white color, and will receive the normal one. This is a pattern followed by many other TV series seasons such as The Simpsons and Charmed.

Perhaps, you didn't understood one of my attemptings of cleaning up the seasons article and reversed my edits (One Tree Hill (season 3)). But in the current revision of the page, there's no recurring cast, neither DVD releases. Sorry, but that's mutilation, and wikipedia faces that as Vandalism.

I'll try to clean up the article again (WITHOUT RUINING IT). If you want to help me (or at least understand what I'm trying to do), please, feel free to. And if you see that's something is wrong, feel free to edit it. Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit. And with your help, Wikipedia can be even better.

All I was trying to do was revert the edits from user Cvhccsee, who had changed the order around in the episode tables. S3-8 has been EP. NO. EP. NAME. EP. DIRECTOR EP. WRITER EP. DATE. EP. CODE AND EP. RATINGS, but the user above had changed the order around, and made it look inconsistent (S1-2)

Yes, originally I was going to only do her 90s work first, but then got distracted and went for the newer stuff. I think I might go back to the old before E=MC2. I only have 4 songs from the debut, 2 from Emotions, 1 from Unplugged, 2 from Music Box, 1 from Daydream, 2 from #1s and 1 from Rainbow. Its really not so much left lol. When were guest stars' names ever written in the Wikipedia episode summery?!! Why do you have to act like you know everything when you obviously don't know anything about episode summaries?!! You said it you're self; you can't just copy the summary, so why do you copy the head line!! I never copied any words, I changed every sentence!! Next time, if try to change the words at-least write them in the write way!! And if you are really one of the people responsible for the guest stars not being written in a list, then you are really irritating some people. Didn't it ever occur to you that some people just open the season page to look at who guest starred on the season?!! Please just stop writing the head line because it's considered as copied information too. I used to add many true information that weren't mentioned in the press release to season 2 and 3, and no one has ever opposed to this action. I think you shouldn't write any summary, just leave it to a professional user to do it!! I'm not saying that I'm professional just in-case you don't get it in your head. About removing the professional escort part from the plot, Michael Ausiello never jokes joke or say false information. How can you claim that he was joking about that spoiler?!! It was earlier announced that Annie would pursue a very odd profession and after few weeks it was announced that a main character would become an escort and that it's Annie. So it all makes sense.
