From WP:CHARTS : "Billboard component charts should not be used in the tables, unless the song fails to enter the main chart, but appears on an airplay or sales chart."
The song did not chart on Pop 100, but charted on its airplay. So I didn't "make things up!" Candyo32 (talk) 22:35, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- I added my thoughts to the Record Charts talk page & thanks for removing the Pop Songs on the OLLG page, i've been meaning to. Candyo32 (talk) 01:46, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- I DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY agree! I've been arguing for a while that even though Pop Songs is an airplay chart, since the Pop 100 was discontinued, there is no standard for a pop genre chart to include. I brought it up once but it never gained much support. Candyo32 (talk) 02:14, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Hey,
I am confused about seeing U.S. Billboard Pop 100 Airplay when U.S. Billboard Hot 100 is there, so I asked about it at Wikipedia talk:Record charts#U.S. Billboard Pop 100 Airplay. Letting you know so that you can participate in the discussion there. (I will only be monitoring the discussion there.)—Iknow23 (talk) 00:41, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Heartbreaker (will.i.am song) shows it in infobox as a 'single' from 3 Words? But isn't it just a 'song' from 3 Words AND ONLY a 'single' from Songs About Girls?
Per Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums#Singles Item 2, "For songs that appear on more than one album, list the song as a single only for the album where the single was released as part of the marketing and promotion of that album." Thus, shouldn't there be a separate 'song' infobox for the 3 Words use of the song as an album track?—Iknow23 (talk) 01:56, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
RE: Album chronology
No i didn't add the rule but i noticed it and saw that it had been overlooked. yes i will monitor it.Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:47, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm... i dont get what it is with some people and a constant obsession to remove or change correct information. i dont know what to make of PCD to be honest. From the research i've done (to update the PCD page) all of the members apart from Nicole and Melody have released official statements detailing their leave. Melody posted constantly on twitter that she was happy with whatever happens and that if people want her to leave she will. she's also said that she wants to move on from those who don't want her to shine... to me this means she wants to leave but her and nicole are the only members of the group to actually have recording contracts and i suspect robin antin would like to keep her in the group but it will involve fierce contract negotiations because melody won't stay unless she's given equal chance to sing. Lil-unique1 (talk) 17:06, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Apparently Melody and Nicole recorded her own versions of "Painted Windows" and it was Robin's conscious decision to limit Thornton's vocals to two sentences and ad-libs. that means we could hear a fully produced proper Melody song if Darkchild/Onsinachi or any of the other producers decides to leak the song. Underneath the Stars
Hey. There may be a problem with this. Looks as if the article used to exist [1] and then was nominated for deletion, where the result was to redirect to the album [2] (that happened in Feb. 2009). For some strange reason it was redirected to an album by The Cure with a song that has the same title (no idea why). Anyhoo, I'm assuming you didn't know this because you recreated it at Underneath the Stars (Mariah Carey song). Do you have a source that this was a single? I see it charted on US R&B, but this was most likely due to unsolicited airplay. The source provided is a Wikipedia mirror. [3] This will either have to be redirected to Daydream, or (if a legit source is found) moved to its original location (which I could do). Do you have any references that can back up the notability of this song? - eo (talk) 21:40, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- Personally I don't have a problem with the article existing - I'm just wondering what may happen with its recreation since it has already been through an AfD process, with a "redirect" result. I think whatever links you may have to help out the article, the better. If you have 'em, throw them in there. Once that is done I can move it back to Underneath the Stars but I of course couldn't guarantee that someone else won't come along and re-nominate it for deletion. And P.S. move done! - eo (talk) 11:06, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Angels Cry
That's fine, next time write an edit summary so I can understand your point.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 14:31, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sure, I already see he's been rampaging on all her sales charts. You know you don't have to manually revert each edit. For example if he makes 3 different edits you can just restore the page to before his first edit. Go to history then click on both versions (the current one & the version before he edited) and click compare. Then on the top of the page you'll see both edits with the names of the people who last edited that version and by the right side version by the editors name you'll see 2 buttons, 1 that says Edit and 1 Undone. Click on Undone and it will bring you to the regular page where you'll just press save page. It's quite simple really, hope i made it clear enough. Let me know if you ever need help with something.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 14:38, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- No problem!...:)--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 14:54, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Can't be, if your doing what I wrote it will work. You have to go to the history and click on 2 different versions, they'll be like two blue balls next to the selected versions. Then press the button "compare" and it will take you to a new page that show both edits and it looks like this. You see on top of your name on the right it says Undo, click it and it will take you to a page like this. Then you scroll down to where is says save page, you click it and it restores the page. As practice try it on the Mariah Carey page you just edited, see if you can restore it to before your last 2 previous edits. I'm determined to keep trying until you can do it...:)--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 15:08, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- For some reason it only says "Reverted edit 33444 by 207" when you do a single revert, otherwise the way we do it for multiple edits it will just come up and look like a regular edit. Glad you were able to figure it out, it helps allot....;)--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 15:24, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
I agree, I just don't see it being released in 3 weeks, I mean if she were taking the release seriously then she would begin promoting the single so they start receiving airplay, otherwise her album will go even farther down the tubes than Memoirs. I think it will either be pushed back or cancelled altogether....:(--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 15:29, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Well the music market here is very poor now, every year album sales drop by 12 percent. Nowadays an album is lucky to sell 5 million worldwide. Now everyone is into buying singles or just illegally downloading entire albums, either way the sales keep dropping. If only Mariah sang Angels Cry on all those UK visits, instead of that Dreadful excuse for a single IWTKWLI. And you know Obsessed was actually doing really well everywhere, except IDJ removed it from Itunes in the UK and other countries, I guess thinking IWTKWLI would take off and not need Obsessed hindering it's airplay. Bad choice by LA Reid, he made it the second single and basically killed Memoirs--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 15:43, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

There isn't a search facility. You just have to page through the charts month-by-month (only the monthly chart is archived). http://www.capif.org.ar/Default.asp?CodOp=ESCM&CO=6 —Kww(talk) 17:08, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Re: Mariah Carey
Well mayb for the obsessed thing we could just have an alternative cover? because im sure the obsessed remix had a limited release. Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:23, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Whitney Houston Christmas Album
The infobox category was changed for the Whitney Houston Christmas album because "Christmas" is not a standard category for that field in the infobox. See this: Category:Album articles with non-standard infoboxes. The album was appearing in this report. This is for consistency only. The only real difference is the color. The fact that it's a Christmas album is obvious everywhere else in the article. DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 01:05, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Angels Cry
The album version charted, not the single version. So the #4 it is totally acceptable. She doesn't release the album version. She charted before with an album song, not a single. User:192.68.221.128 (talk) 12:23, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Memoirs/Angels Advocate
Is it not bizarre that the album is not available to pre-order on itunes and its not even listed on Target's website? Lil-unique1 (talk) 01:45, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yes. I agree completely. I have a sneaking suspician that Carey is about to leave Island/Def Jam and this will be her last record with them. I think the album will be pushed back to april just like it has been in the UK. i mean 16 days b4 release with no cover, not track listing and no promo???? Plus are we removing release dates from infoboxes now? Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:59, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
- I reckon we should leave it. I remember a similar situation with Her Name is Nicole which i argued should have been kept open but wasn't because there was not enough significance. With AA i think the article itself and the singles have quite a few independent sources and should be kept open for the time being. IF the album is cancelled i would like to see the article merged into Memoirs and AA removed from chronology and discography. the singles UOMF and AC should given a second chronology e.g. Remixed singles and it can be explained why they are listed seperately. After all they were never really tipped as singles from Memoirs but because they're remixes they can still be mentioned as they bare some relevance. What do you think? Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:17, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Naming
I can add Canada as an alternate name (there are lots of those: Flanders/Vlanders, France/French, etc.) I plan on adding other UK archives, so that one needs to be specific.—Kww(talk) 03:09, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
Editing your talk

Thanks
Hey Jay, thanks for the support back there. Max24 doesn't want Celine's sales to be lowered even if they are unsourced, so he makes an excuse that I'm just trying to inappropriately make her sales lower to glorify Mariah (we both know that sure isn't needed...;)). I appreciate your support and your help in all MC articles...:D--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 15:03, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Every time you will find an example that Petergriffin9901 lower's Mariah Carey's sales, I will find million more he does it with other artists. For exapmle he went through all Dion albums and lowerd the certification levels to the current ones. Yet, he hasn't done it with any of Carey's articles. He removed completly Dion's Australian certification for The Colour of My Love, yet has left all the early Australian certifications for Carey. And I could go on and on and on. There were reasons for him being blocked, acused of sockpuppetry and probation. All is on his User talk page, although he has removed many of those unpleasent informations.
And yes I have reverted most of his edits again, coz even after my message he still doesn't read articles before making changes.
Funny that a person like you, another Carey fan, 8 months here in Wikpedia, tells me about vandalism and warnings. I'm here for 4 years, never had a warning and I have created all those Dion related articles. That's why I watch over them. So when you write "uber-fans that keep growing sales, removed things etc." you're talking about Petergriffin9901, and when you write about "people who take editing seriously" you're talking about me. Before taking part in discussion I didn't invite you in, do some research and don't attack me "supporting" mindless edits of Petergriffin9901.
So as of today, after I have reverted most of his edits, the only thing that has left to source is the UK sales in few articles. That's all. Just few positions and not hundreds of them. Max24 (talk) 17:35, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
I have reverted almost all of your edits as sources for the sales were all the time in the Wikipedia articles (in the "Chart success" section). How can you remove the sales without reading the article? How can you remove French certification when it is all the time to check on the official French SNEB website? Do some research before making changes in good articles. Max24 (talk) 19:35, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Not on the RIAA website but in the Wikipedia article itself. In the part called "chart success" there are many informations about sales with links. They lead to the sales numbers, for exaple this link [4]. French links were working not so long ago. SNEP must have made some changes on their website but the informations are still there, easy to find. I didn't know they changed the look of their website. Max24 (talk) 20:15, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
I will check your edits regarding Dion. If you have doubts, you can always ask me. I have made all these articles and it may be easier for me to find a source. Max24 (talk) 20:23, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
- First of all Max, you are getting a bit annoying with your ranting. It sounds like your giving Jay permission to edit Dion articles, I never thought Celine Dion articles needed a special pass to be edited. What are you going to say next time, that I edit Mariah Carey articles to many more times than other artists. I suggest you mind your own business and stop making Wikipedia a belligerent environment, and learn to edit in peace with other editors. I mean whats your point already? I vandalized the first week I began editing over 9 months ago, because I didn't know what I was doing. Kww gave me a second chance and kept me under supervision for 5 months, and he approved of my return, so I think you should quit all the hatred and be on your way. I'm not embarrassed of my past, because it's how I got here today as an editor.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 00:23, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- And I have never removed anything off my talk page, I left it there as proof of my change and journey. So go take your 4 years experience to my talk page history Max, and leave us Carey fans to do the real editing.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 00:27, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

I actually really like it, it looks very neat and organized. I agree thisis the way it should look. BTW did you see Kww tell Max he was wrong..lol...I imagine how much that must hurt. - And yes, It would be amazing t see a new Love takes Time performance, because it's one of her oldest and harder ones, so we can see her 2010 vocal talents...:)...I'll let you when and if!--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 23:26, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Recent discussions about R&B charts
Hi, Jay
You've been making edits on a few (Leona Lewis) articles removing the R&B chart results based on "recent record charts discussion." When was this discussion, and where? I'd like to understand the reasoning behind the removal of this chart. Thanks, — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 20:49, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Albums
What are you talking about? I didn't change any certifications, check my edits individually. All I did was add the other column. Check them because did not inflate anything.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 21:29, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Here's my example, this is the anonymous IP edit before my chart additions on Music Box look here. Now look at my edit here. I didn't change the certifications at all, only th other column. It was vandalized from before . Check them out, I didn't vandalism on any page, please take the time to look into it because you have the wrong message.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 21:34, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Here's another example. On Emotions, the page looked like this before my edit, look here, and for my edit look here, the page was vandalized over 40 hours before my edit. You'll notice that my only edits were the adding of the sales according to certs, so don't accuse me of otherwise.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 21:55, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- No your a little confused Jay, take a look here, this is E=mc2 history. Here you see two sets of my edits, before my first edit theres the same IP from the other pages, this is compared to his version, look here, as you see here, the dit before mine already inflated the sales the day before, and he happens to be the same vandal from the other articles. Look at it compared to my first edit, look here. As you see the changes were made before my edits even began, I only made the charts for what I saw there, I didn't research the history. So you see I didn't vandalise, I just should have been more careful, to make sure the page was accurate to begin with. I'm giving the IP a warning, which if he's caught again should result in a block. Thanks Jay.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 03:30, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- That isn't true Jay, I always revert vandalism when I see it. I could say the same for you as Rainbow was only certified Platinum in Europe, and had sales of 2.5 M for months. Why didn't you revert it? Look I like you, and I don't want to have a Max24 relationship with you, I just want you to understand you can't hold someone responsible for not reverting, unless I vandalized myself. I can assure you if I noticed it would have reverted, as i removed the MBG sales from quite a few of her articles, check my contributions. Thanks Jay.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 18:28, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- lol, it is annoying and has been for a while. You want to hear something funny, it's not breaking the rules or anything, but just goes to show you how he works. Max all of a sudden got into the mood to deflate MC pages as much as possible, even trying less than actual. Why do you think? maybe because we fixed Celine Dion pages lol. I think he's just trying to be spiteful, so watch out for his edits, after his recent displays I wouldn't be surprised if he tries adding some fansites or blogs claiming her sales much lower.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 19:34, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Let me ask you, I see you were discussing the use of infodisc, I was wondering what your response was, being that it's on Wiki Good charts. Can we use it? I originally found it but got it removed by Max, because they weren't helpful to Celine Dion.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 19:50, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- I agree that sounds good, I'll start adding it to...:)--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 19:55, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- lol, yeah he doesn't seem to respond to the simplest messages on his talk page, quite foolish if you ask me. I tell you it kills him that we fixed her discography sales, heheheh.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 20:00, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- Nope, I don't understand why her camp is so quiet about it, I'm sure it's cancelled, but nobody really knows the extent of the future projects. I'll let you know as soon as I come by anything...:D--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 20:13, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
RE: Angels Advocate (& Macros)
Whilst i do agree they're a good idea i've gone off using them for the US because so often they dont show up correctly. E.g. for Mariah Carey "Angels Cry" doesn't show up as being number 30 on the US AC Chart and not all charts show for "Up Out My Face" in the Mariah Carey Discography/Chart History page that the Macro brings up. This discussion was had on WP:record charts quite a while ago because we wanted to find an alternative source for US charts. Where the macro works fine (all charts for a song show up) its not a problem but in this case it was. If you'd rather change back its up to you but i thought a stable reference would be better personally as it actually verifies what's being reported. Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:16, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Its not Kesha page your dealing with is it by any chance? I've noticed a lot of reversion activity there too... Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:00, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
The Ballads and Infodisc
Two things: First, the source [5] doesn't say a word about The Ballads being gold. If it does, point it out please. Second, Infodisc is valid for certifications, as it has copied all certs from SNEP. But sales, as you can read on the website, are just estimations made by Infodisc team. Max24 (talk) 01:13, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- I see THE BALLADS - Mariah Carey at page 7 at [6] but no indication of cert found there.
- infodisc.fr IS listed at WP:GOODCHARTS for CERTS for both albums and singles.—Iknow23 (talk) 03:49, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

InfoDisc
It's not a black-and-white issue, and I would love to see all of you start talking things out first and reverting second. You are far from the worst on that issue, so don't feel like I'm yelling at you. Anyway, all sales estimates are estimates, made by different people at different times from different data. The question shouldn't be one of using InfoDisc's estimates or not, it should be evaluating whether InfoDisc is more or less reliable than the source Max24 is using. Sometimes, the best choice is to list a range of estimates. Look at List of best-selling music artists for an extreme example. You probably don't have to go that far, but it's worth looking at.—Kww(talk) 19:16, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
"All I Want for Christmas Is You"
The fact that the "All I want For Christmas is You" became "the world's first holiday ringtone to be certified 2x platinum by the RIAA" is mentioned already in the introduction of the article. However the table at the bottom contains certifications for the single. That's why writing there 2x platinum instead of gold is misleading, as the single was certified only gold (ring tone is 2x platinum). Max24 (talk) 00:47, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- This is the differance: Truetone vs Single (music). Max24 (talk) 00:59, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- RIAA certifies singles and ringtones separately for a reason: they are two completly different things. I will gladly wait for Eric. Max24 (talk) 01:15, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Music Box
Hey Jay, the source you placed for the album sales does not claim 26M. Please go over it again, because I read it and it has weird numbers, like 2,500 and 1,000. I don't thin his can be used as it doesn't say that.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 03:02, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- I do agree 100%, which is why I reverted his edit, however I think it's best for Eric to decide, as this will only lead to edit war. I do think so, whether or not it says DI or MT it says single, so theres really no clear way to differentiated. And it happens to be impossible for AIWFCIY to be only Gold as a single, because every year it sells hundreds of thousands of downloads. This year alone it reached the top 10 top DDloads, many weeks. Keep me posted if I'm needed for discussion or vote.--Petergriffin9901 (talk) 16:07, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
RE: Obsessed
Im not sure its a good idea. I was toying with it myself. The main problem would be that the infobox would be stranded (what songs would you put in the chronology? and what album?). Also there isn't a definitive section in the article about the song (which i think is right as it was only released in the UK). My understanding is that infobox should be navigational as well as summaritive. Lil-unique1 (talk) 18:47, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Side issue
I wonder if you could help with this? Archive for AUS Physical chart? Lil-unique1 (talk) 18:57, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Angels Advocate Tour
Oh right i didnt realise. Go ahead. Lil-unique1 (talk) 20:33, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- hmm yeah i know what you mean, i considered taking a subscription for chartplus but i realised there could be issues about sharing that information once the subscription is made. Lil-unique1 (talk) 20:44, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
New format for multiple track listings
hello could you please give your opinion on this proposed new track listing format for multiple releases. This is the old example and this is my new proposal. Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:21, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- fair enough. i was just trying to merge the track listing because the old form was 1kb more size wise and had different components. Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:43, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Wide-ranging approach to Sales/Shipments/Certs
Hello, Jamie
Probably, you have already noticed it (and decided not to add anything), but I have made a new proposal (below your "Shipments and Sales in box" discussion) which might address several concerns or cause quite a ruckus. I'd be glad to have your feedback there. Thanks! — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 14:04, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
Removal of charts
The Australian Urban & UK R&B are not component charts like U.S.'s Pop Songs chart, and can be used in charts tables like the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs. Candyo32 (talk) 19:34, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- On the RC talk page, there is just discussion from three or four people about the chart, not a consensus garnered about the inclusion of the chart. Candyo32 (talk) 03:31, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Removal of cover from If We Ever Meet Again
Can you please explain your edit to If We Ever Meet Again, removing the alternative cover? Your edit summary suggested that only one non-free cover is allowed, but can you please direct me to this piece of Wikipedia's policy? Other singles, for example Telephone, have two covers, so this is quite inconsistent. Thanks, Adabow (talk) 10:35, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
RE: I Look to You
Yes i'm aware but i assumed the plaque was a general platinum in every country plaque. I didn't realise it was symbolic. A recent editing war on Cheryl Cole's 3 Words has resulted in the conclusion that unless the certification provider e.g. RIAA, BPI etc. lists the certificate on their website or in a press release we cannot say an album is certified. Period. At the end of the day the Certificate provider is the most credible source. The source i've provided for the gold certificate is from official german providers. Raymond V Ramond
To be perfectly honest i do prefer them with songs instead of singles but i am strongly in favour of seeing them merged into the article just as the Black Eyed Peas promo singles were. in the case of something like Lady Gaga Speechless (Lady Gaga song) just look at home much info there is. Neither 'More' nor 'Paper' recieved significant coverage from independent sources e.g. not retailers and without specific mention or review i really dont see the point of the articles. Lil-unique1 (talk) 18:42, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- You just nominate for deletion as you would nominate any other article. Lil-unique1 (talk) 19:03, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- oh have you never done it before? I just presumed that you had. I've done it for you. Please monitor the situation and of course add your opinion to the dicussion. For future reference here's the link with the instruction for nominating deletion (something which i can't remember all the time). [7] Lil-unique1 (talk) 19:11, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Angels Cry
I've just had a thought. In the UK airplay does not count towards chart positions so that means UK charts are determined solely by downloads and single sales. However if the song is not released till tomorrow (monday 29 march) how can it have charted at number 199 last week? Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:34, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yes i think its a good idea to link the songs the angels advocate section of memoirs. I'm going to merge the albums now cus i think sufficient time has passed. Also i think we should move UOMF and AC should be moved back to remixes because that is how itunes lists them. no? Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:44, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Right the merger is complete. i'm gonna go through and sort out the linsk to angels advocate.Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:35, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- no i was thinking that too actually. go ahead. are you ok with the way i've fragmented the article with seperate memoirs and AA singles etc. Also should the Angels Advocate singles in the infobox use the green infobox or blue one?Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:42, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- how do we know the UK release is cancelled?Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:56, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah i see what you mean. technically its the 29 march now so you should able to buy the song but you cant... :S Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:14, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
2 record labels from opposing parent companies for two different regions would not happen. I recommend she go over to J Records for the US and release through Sony in the UK. I've just had a thought. i've ready through the article (Memoirs) and actually it does seem remarkably positive to say that it is the worst selling album of Carey's career. i do think the balance needs to be re-dressed. what do you think? Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:20, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- We must be missing a source somewhere. if the song charted in the uk it must be available to purchase after all because airplay doesnt count in the UK. im gonna go on the hunt for it. Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:57, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- Defo a typo. checked everywhere its defo not available. how strange. their still playing the video on UK music channels. what's the point? Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:34, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Archiving/Max24
Hey Jay, I don't see where Legolas explained it to you, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. BTW, if you want a perfect example of Max's hypocrisy and inventing policies, see his talk page...lol...He tells me I can't remove a warning from my talk page, even if it's unjustified, the when I give him one for adding Fake ISBNs for Celine Dion sales, he still removes them and says it's unjustified. Check it out.....xD--PeterGriffin • Talk 15:14, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Actually, Jayy008 wrote on your talk page: "please don't remove warnings, whether they're justified or not." Apparently he didn't know (and I didn't know either back then) that per WP:UW/FAQ: "users are free to remove content from their talk page". Max24 (talk) 15:37, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Bulgaria/Romania
Noticed this edit summary. Actually, there is a good Bulgarian chart listed at WP:GOODCHARTS. I have also found some articles that link to an archive of the Romanian chart, even though I didn't think there was one. I haven't figured out how to get there yet. I'm working on it.—Kww(talk) 15:20, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Nope, they just broke their site. There are links like http://www.rt100.ro/top-100-edition.html?edition=100&go=Go http://www.rt100.ro/top-100-edition.html?edition=316&go=Go http://www.rt100.ro/top-100-edition.html?edition=320&go=Go all over, but those now all show the chart for Sep 13, 2009. The "edition" parameter used to take you to different pages.—Kww(talk) 20:22, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Billboard Charts
I've had a go at simplifying the billboard charts issue on the record charts talk page. See the condition matrix on the page and tell me what you think. :) Lil-unique1 (talk) 15:33, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. I've had to make logical decisions with the charts because to be frank there is not really enough information to explicitly say which are components and which aren't but based on the info we have it seems sensible no? also someone has created the page "Dance in the Dark" but it has no sources? should it be demoted to just a song? Lil-unique1 (talk) 15:43, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Done, the charts condition table has been modified. right time to nominate Dance in the Dark for deletion me thinks... Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:03, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- re-modified the table at record charts after complaints about the 'Rhythmic Airplay Chart' What do you think now? Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:05, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- hi jay. the discussion is developing nicely although there is some resistance to renaming of billboard charts. Would like to know what you think of the proposals. Lil-unique1 (talk) 01:01, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
To anwser you question
In the article Music Box you have added lately an information that this album has sold 26 million copies. However the source you put there doesn't support this claim. Max24 (talk) 15:49, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism reverts
Hi. Just a heads up, please be more careful when reverting edits as you did on E=MC2 (Mariah Carey album). In doing so, you not only omitted the vandalism of other user(s), but also the valid changes I had made in an earlier edit to the labelling in the release history, as shown here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=E%3DMC2_%28Mariah_Carey_album%29&action=historysubmit&diff=351611023&oldid=351508061 Imperatore (talk) 12:51, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- I restored it now, and it wasn't such a big hassle. It just seemed appropriate to alert you, since I know it's happened to me in the past as well. It’s great though that you’re taking care of this type of vandalism, such as the changing around of sourced numbers, since this isn’t easily picked up by the bots, as far as I know. Keep it up! Imperatore (talk) 16:21, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
My Worlds
No problem, I agree! Candyo32 (talk) 23:30, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Not Myself Tonight
ShadowRangerpedia? What are you four? I'm not dumb I know this site has rules. This song is going to start charting in less then two weeks so deleting the article and re-creating it in a week and a half is just a dumb idea. If it was a month out then yeah I would be for deletion. There are sources to back release dates, the cover art, producer, etc. I've been looking around the rules and I see no where in the notability guidelines does it say chart positions are required. Feel free to post them if I missed them. Plus, get an attitude check. Yelling at people and posting dumb crap like ShadowRangerpedia won't get your opinion across, it makes you look silly. --Shadow (talk) 00:44, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
"Put It in a Love Song"
Hey Jayy, I like what you did with the Radio adds table :)—Iknow23 (talk) 06:50, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- And I remain baffled regarding the term "Radio adds", which looks like a typo to me. I have never (in over 40 years) seen or heard this term before about a week ago when Iknow23 added it to Animal (Kesha album). What does it mean? And am I the only WP reader who is clueless about it? Or do others wonder what we mean just like I do? — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 11:05, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
