[edit]

I removed thet tags you put on Jifa Gu. I have explained this move on the talk page. Feel free to leave a message. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 14:03, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response. I made some improvements to the article and gave an other short response. Good luck. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 14:26, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reggie Fountain

[edit]

please do not delete the page for Reggie Fountain. The material is good and accurate. I work for the company that this man started over 20yrs ago and have full permission to use any material on the fountainpowerboats.com website. I was wanting to cronical Reggie's many lifetime achievements and post them for the world to see. If you need more information from me please let me know (Jloe (talk) 15:17, 3 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

ok, thanks. can you provide me any advice on what to say to keep the page up? (Jloe (talk) 15:28, 3 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

ok thanks for your help, i addressed it on the articles talkpage. what do the editors need from me proving that i have permission to use the material from the fountainpowerboats website? or is this necessary? also, about how long does it take to get reviewed, are you the one who reviews the "holdon" request? (Jloe (talk) 15:49, 3 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

  • No. Admins are the ones that handle that. Like I said review the policies on the help pages and elsewhere. There are some specifically about copyright and such that should be of use. The directions are all included in the speedy tag and in the notice on your talkpage.Jasynnash2 (talk) 15:51, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just realized that the R. Fountain Page was removed. Why was it removed? what can i do to get it brought back or what can i do to create a new one that will not be removed. thanks in advance (67.76.103.98 (talk) 17:40, 3 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

  • Like I said to Jloe check out the policies and guidelines. One option is to go to Deletion Review but, you are probably better office looking at the policies and guidelines and the help pages about creating your first article. Build the article in word or someother offline method first while you are making it conform to the policies and only when it does should you create it as an article. [edit]

Hi, I hope that the additional references will bring the page up to standard. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do to have the speedy deletion removed. Thanks for your help. Bocasdeltorro (talk) 17:10, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Haven't looked yet but, I think as long as you follow the directions in the tag and on the notice on your talkpage (if you were the author) than the thing will run its course properly. Jasynnash2 (talk) 07:58, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I fixed it up a little. not sure it would survive AFD. Needs sourcing and a neutral editor. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 13:11, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Recieved your updates. Ill take care of it. Thank you very much again for your help.

re: Noelke Law Firm Article

[edit]

Between you and me, I couldn't agree more. I respect Wikipedia, and use it often. However, my boss read an article in some law magazine, blah blah blah, and I end up writing the article for work. As I told him, "It's short, and kind of sucks, but I spent a long time on it." I get paid, the article gets deleted, and chances are he never looks to see what happened. Everyone wins. Rule11 (talk) 17:11, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. I have it saved on a sub-page of mine, and if he ever does anything notable, I'll add meat and repost it. I suspect this will happen someday, but as if this date, the firm is not notable.Rule11 (talk) 17:16, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've replied to your "weak keep", and would really appreciate you taking another look at this. I won't press after this, as I don't want to hassle, but I do worry you may have been fooled as were the participants on the last AFD. Happy to discuss further if you want, let me know via my talk page. Best, Neıl 15:33, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's why I said weak. I'd appreciate people not addressing stuff like this on my talk page as it ends up looking like canvassing and such and could get one or both of us in trouble later.I think it is possible that if the person is real he meets WP:Entertainer but, I'm leaving it to be discussed at AfD where it belongs. I left a response for you on my "Discussions" page (Follow the Kacheek emoticon in my sig). -Jéské (v^_^v E pluribus unum) 17:46, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chill a bit, OK? I'm working through the tabs and will redirect East Atlantic City, New Jersey to Brigantine, New Jersey as a former name, then fix the double redirect. --NE2 15:38, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Why did you delete this page? I was planning on expanding the Rocky characters database. Lazz235 (talk) 15:56, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Firstly, have another look. I didn't delete anything. Everything you wrote is still contained in earlier versions of the article as shown in the history tag. Secondly, I'm guessing you may be new and that is why I pointed you in the direction of the help pages. Please reread what I wrote and than I will discuss with you further if you still feel it is needed. Jasynnash2 (talk) 16:01, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • The page is gone now. It just links directly to the Rocky I movie site. Lazz235 (talk) 16:05, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • Yes. It has been changed to what is called a redirect because someone believed the character didn't warrant his own article. They changed the content of the article to #REDIRECT Rocky (film) or similar. Your stuff is still there. If you need more help understanding you are best to ask the people that actually did it or visit the help pages to understand the notabilty and verifiability policies in use. Hi, IMO, you came across as a bit too harsh here. Best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 08:34, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding deletion of Mascot Metal Manufacturers page

[edit]

Dear Jasynnash Thank you very much for the sincere efforts you have made to improve the article. I would like to discuss with you the possibility of deletion of this article. After several amendments you have made to the page, I have started understanding how the page/article should be. I have seen many articles like Focus(DIY), Wickes, Natioanl University etc who have not show sufficient references or citations. Please advise me how to improve the article even better. regards Mayank--Mascotmayank (talk) 12:10, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article should be discussed on the talkpage. Start there. Seek advice from other editors. Read and attempt to understand the policies and guidelines (and not just in order to bend them to your way of thinking). Personally, I say blank the current article. Let it be deleted. You can then start over with a smaller more pertinent and better formatted stub article (which MUST show quite obviously how the company is notable and MUST be written 100% neutrally). I'd also suggest writing about Mascot Group, instead of about this one bit as the Group may be more notable as a whole. Write a good stub article about Mascot Group. Use reliable 3rd party sources (review some of the things that are considered to be such first though). Also, work constructively on other articles. You don't help your submissions by being essentially an account that appears to only want to "sell" this company. Maybe work on some other articles of a similar nature to gain experience. Watching Pages

[edit]

What does the number mean when you click on your "watchlist" and by the article link it will have a number in parenthesis, I think it says either + or -. What does this number represent?

multiple AFD

[edit]

Can people keep trying to delete Joseph Didier? If they try a 3rd time (like they are now) can they keep doing it? Why can't they help make it better? It can be improved? Presumptive (talk) 02:58, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • My understanding is it can be nominated over and over again (although common sense would suggest a reasonable period be allowed for improvement). I haven't been to AfD yet to see any changes but, my understanding was that an article about that particular person wasn't seen as appropriate for notability reasons (more famous for being a murder victim than anything else, therefore that whole one event thing). Procedural questions might be best addressed to an administrator though. Jasynnash2 (talk) 08:23, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

Hello,

I'm sorry if I came across as rough on the AfD:Soviet famine page, but it is an issue which is both politically and personally charged.

If you have a moment, please join the discussion here [[2]].

Thanks, Horlo (talk) 09:04, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've rescinded the multiple nomination on this AFD and am now suggesting that it runs on this one particular article with a view to gauging community thoughts on individual phone articles. I'll then use that as a basis to decide how to approach the other ones. You may wish to change or add to your contributions here as the basis of the AFD is changed - this is a courtesy notice to allow you to do so if you wish.
