When you want to link from one Wikipedia article to another, you put the article title between two pairs of brackets; for example, [[People Who Were Killed in Animal Attacks]] will display as People Who Were Killed in Animal Attacks. Thanks for your diligence. I did remove the template you put on the article talk page, as it is a user warning. Also, when you remove a copyright violation, you should notify the oversight team, as it must be removed from the history also. They'll need the article title, the DIFF of your removal and if possible, the diff where it was added. Also the URL of the website whose copyright is violated. Actually that is not normally done by the oversight team, but by ordinary admins using revision deletion Articles can be taggged with {{Copyvio-revdel}}. This places them in Category:Requested RD1 redactions which I and various other admins patrol to do the needed revision deletions. Hi. I've undone your edits to this article, firstly, because in practice RC cardinals are going to be notable (remembering that just because a Wikipedia article has no sources does not mean that they do not exist, possibly in print or in some language that is not English or both), and secondly, because you tagged it as an unsourced BLP, whereas this man died in 1562.   • You need to establish notability yourself by including reliable sources. I included the tag because notability isn’t established, because it doesn’t include reliable sources, to establish notability you have to include reliable sources. If the article has no sources it doesn’t establish notability. I didn’t include the tag because it doesn’t have sources, because I know it does, but you need to establish notability yourself, and then remove the tag. It is a BLP because this is a person.   1. "I" don't "need" to do anything!
  2. I think you should re-read the documentation on Notability and Sources. Some subjects can safely be assumed to be notable - including cardinals and populated places, among others - so tagging them for lack of notability, when the problem is lack of sources in the article (for which they've already been tagged) misses the point somewhat. Obviously, there are many articles with no sources which are also of questionable notability.
  3. BLP = Biographies of Living Persons, i.e., people living now: see WP:BLP: in other words, not anyone dead! Ingratis (talk) 18:20, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The rule WP:FAILN clearly states if a subject fails to cite the sources you can place the notability tag. You don’t have to establish notability, and cite an unsourced article when somebody else can. You clearly are assuming the reason why I put it there. I didn’t put it there because there are not reliable sources. If there wasn’t I would nominate it for deletion. WP:FAILN begins: "Articles not satisfying the notability guidelines", which are not the problem. Beyond that I'm afraid it's not entirely clear what you mean (if you know there are reliable sources, you can add them yourself, surely), but I'm not assuming anything: I'm pointing out that among the unsourced articles you are tagging with "This article may not be notable [blah, blah]... may be deleted" (mostly entirely correctly) are some which very clearly are notable, so on those articles the tag is inaccurate. The Notability guidelines at WP:SNG may help make the point clearer. I note that you've removed your use of the BLP tag at any rate. I removed the use of BLP tag because I realized you are right. You know the rules and been on this site longer than I have. I have make mistakes; I will admit that. Use of "Missing information" template

Hi, I notice you've been adding the {{Missing information}} template to a lot of pages but using the article's title as the description parameter (example). The template is meant to be used to indicate some specific aspect that's missing from the article, rather than essentially saying "this article should be longer". Filter 80

I saw GratefulSteve's editing from filter 80 too. The thing to know about that filter is that it's tracking people adding a lot of links in a short time, but it doesn't check what the links are, so that filter doesn't always mean that someone is spamming. What you saw wasn't really a false positive, since he did add a lot of links in a short time. In this case it was good-faith editing, since he was adding links to county websites rather than spamming a website. Just remember that filters aren't foolproof and you should always take the time to review what the filter flagged before taking action. creffett (talk) 01:09, 12 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, the template you left me was incorrect, as the article in question has never been PRODded before. Please take more care when removing proposed deletion templates, as now I have to take the article to AfD and waste the community's time discussing the deletion of an article clearly and obviously created in error. @Premeditated Chaos: I did read, but I shouldn’t have deprod your prod. I should have just endorse your proposed deletion, but I put your prod here Challalat El Adhaoura since it is a duplicate article created in 2014. The article you were talking about was created in 2010.

You are still misunderstanding my PROD rationale, and now you're misusing it by applying it incorrectly to other articles that should not be deleted. That's not how to fix this. You're arguing like the two articles are simple duplicates of each other, but they aren't really. There are three articles here:
Can you see how the name of the first one (the one I PRODded) was made by smashing the other two names together? Based on the text in that article, it seems that whoever made it in 2010 was trying to make Challalat El Adhaoura, but they screwed up the title somehow by adding Chahbounia to it. Since someone else later (yes, in 2014) created the Challalat El Adhaoura article at the correct title, there is no need to keep the one titled Chahbounia Chelalet El Adhaoura. That is an incorrect name that has never been used for a real place in Algeria, so it should be deleted rather than redirected or otherwise kept. Does that make sense now?

@Premeditated Chaos: I understand why you are trying to delete the article, because it has the incorrect title. I still believe that they are duplicates. End of this discussion don't waste your time trying to convince me that they are not duplicate articles just move and do something else on Wikipedia, and don't assume things that are not true by saying I’m trying to argue with you. When you go about copy and pasting my words to incorrectly try to get other articles deleted, I think it's perfectly reasonable to respond and try to get you to understand what you're doing wrong before you go about doing it again. This is a cooperative project, so you need to get used to other editors communicating with you, sometimes to criticize your actions. I'm not going to post here again, so don't bother pinging me, but try to keep in mind if you want to keep contributing to Wikipedia that the attitude you've shown in your response above will not endear you to other editors in the future. ♠PMC(talk) 19:12, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also thank you Interstellarity (one of my NPPSCHOOL trainees) to inform me about your incident and now I am glad that I would help to bring you back. We are make mistakes Janecia and it is hard sometimes to receive some criticism at times. I know it is hard for you as I have a mild form of Irlen Syndrome, as some editors/my trainees had aware that I do not write eloquently and do ask me politely to clarify certain sentences. However, I do received harsh/put down comments from long term editors and admins as well. One thing to note that irregardless how frustrate we are, try to look at the bright site, the comments/criticism would serve us well so we may understand and correct our mistakes and always practice WP:CIVIL in any talk page when communicate with another editors.   • You may want to consider looking for a mentor at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user as they may be a big help by showing you the ropes. This would give you someone else to whom you could turn to ask questions and seek advice. You may also want to read Wikipedia:Mentorship as well. I noticed that back in December you suggested merging some Prince Edward Island Liberal Party articles (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Prince Edward Island/Article alerts) but it looks like you didn't finish the next part of the process, which is to start a discussion explaining why the articles should be merged, and to link to it from the merge template.
