Expo Line (Los Angeles Metro)

Hey James,

Could you tell me why Metro's The Source is an unreliable source? It is an official blog that provides press releases from Metro itself. The line has reached substantial completion, and there has been no official announcement about the opening date. The Regional Connector is also under construction, hence the reason why the Little Tokyo/Arts District station is closed, as it will branch off to connect with the Blue/Expo line from there. Also, the official opening date will be released tomorrow after the Board of Director's meeting. Thanks for fixing up all of the consolidation though.

First-party source controlled by Metro. As you say, it is essentially press releases. See WP:IRS, WP:QUESTIONABLE, WP:IS. --Regards, James(talk/contribs) 06:42, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

Palms station

To avoid the semblance of an edit war and in light of the majority opinion at Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section#Request_for_comment:_Identification_of_train_or_railway_stations_in_the_lead, I'd like to ask you here first if you would object to my changing the first paragraph of the above-mentioned article to "The Palms station of the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system is at the intersection of National Boulevard and Palms Boulevard in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles. This elevated light-rail station is scheduled to open in 2016 as part of Phase 2 of the system's Expo Line." I would also like to make a similar fix to the Culver City station article. LA Metro station temp speedy del

Hello again,

If you take a look at Talk:Expo Line (Los Angeles Metro), a consensus was reached to rename and delete the LACMTA template. I would appreciate if you would remove your speedy AfD request. Thanks again, --TJH2018 (talk) 02:45, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Also, the reason it was deleted was because a person from LA might know it as the LACMTA, while a person looking for info on Metro would most likely search for LA Metro, or Los Angeles Metro, as it is referred to in the majority of official publications from the LACMTA. --TJH2018 (talk) 02:52, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
Article title guidelines don't necessarily apply to template names. Duplicate templates are unnecessary and frowned upon. See the template guidelines and relevant speedy deletion criteria. Regards, James(talk/contribs) 21:31, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Virgil Green -Tulare, CA page

Hi James. Thank you for giving me the common courtesy of sending me a message as to why something was deleted, rather than just deleting it and not saying anything (which happens). I did not put a reference in regards to his Super Bowl win, because that fact has already been referenced on his own wiki page. I thought because it is already referenced somewhere, that that would suffice. If not, would you be able to correct that for me, and transfer that particular reference from his page, over to the Tulare page? Thank you. I looked at that player's page and do not see a citation for the Super Bowl win. You'd have to provide a reliable source, such as a newspaper article that includes that information, on the wiki page. Dear fellow Wikipedian,

I would like to personally invite you to the March edition of the Wik-Ed Women meetup, which will take place on March 15, from 6-10 in the evening. It will occur at Los Angeles Contemporary Archive, 2245 E Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90021 (downtown LA -- map). The building has a pink top with old signage for American Accessories, Inc. dba Princess Accessories (Photos [PDF]). There is on-site parking in the back, which also has an entrance. If you cannot attend in person, you are more than willing to work remotely, as we appreciate all help that you can provide. Finally, here is a link to the Facebook event, in case you want to invite friends, as we are always looking for new editors to help expand coverage of women on Wikipedia!

Do you want one Edit tab, or two? It's your choice

How to switch between editing environments

Click the [[ ]] to switch to the wikitext editor.

Click the pencil icon to switch to the visual editor.

The editing interface will be changed soon. When that happens, editors who currently see two editing tabs – "Edit" and "Edit source" – will start seeing one edit tab instead. The single edit tab has been popular at other Wikipedias. When this is deployed here, you may be offered the opportunity to choose your preferred appearance and behavior the next time you click the Edit button. You will also be able to change your settings in the Editing section of Special:Preferences.

You can choose one or two edit tabs. If you chose one edit tab, then you can switch between the two editing environments by clicking the buttons in the toolbar (shown in the screenshots). See Help:VisualEditor/User guide#Switching between the visual and wikitext editors for more information and screenshots.

Hello James and thank you for the warm welcome to Wikipedia! I received your note and believe there is a misunderstanding about a page that I edited on April 4, 2016. I updated several pages on that date to reflect changes in the structure of a news organization, with which I have no connection, so I don’t understand where you perceived the conflict of interest. Can you please explain?
