- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page to follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons' policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring and sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Sockpuppetry case
[edit]Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/WideAwakeandWonderingWTF for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. VQuakr (talk) 01:01, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
As I mentioned in my latest post, I am very new to Wikipedia. My personal studies are almost entirely paperback, and I find the internet too "cluttered" with opinions and people with too much power to edit what they do not personally believe in. I will state for any evidence needed that WideAwakeAndWonderingWTF(when they will fall) was my first choice of online forum names due to the fact that most of the conversations/debates/etc that I find myself in are of an activist mentality. I later came to realize that such a name was unfitting for such a professional atmosphere as Wikipedia. Jal is my real first name, though Lee'Mon is a comical "nomminer". I could not find the option to simply change my name on the first account I opened and therefore opened another account with a much more "unaggressive" title. So, to those reviewing my case, please know it was out of ignorance of the vast pool of rules that have formed within the Wikipedian community. I simply regretted my first choice of names and changed it in the only way I knew how.
