Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Fourmile Creek (Pennsylvania), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Conductivity (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Marsden page revert persistence

I've sourced an item regarding Marsden being from Coquitlam, but a user keeps insisting on reverting it using Marsden (the subject) as a source. Not sure what the big deal is with where she is from. People from small towns outside major metro areas say they are from the metro all the time. But factually, Marsden is from Coquitlam. Do I need to keep sourcing and editing the same thing? Don't want to be in a revert war, just want the page accurate. CammieD (talk) 19:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

I recommend that you discuss this with 99.224.51.134. --Jakob (talk) 19:36, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

In reply to your (rhetorical?) question in this edit summary [1], kindly note that both right backs and left backs are actually full backs. The original contribution by another anonymous IP [2] was a useful one, given that Flanagan is indeed adept on both sides. Per the main text [3]. Regards, 86.169.210.196 (talk) 12:42, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

My apologies. I'm afraid I don't really know much about soccer positions, but I've reverted my rejection. Your edit is now in the pending changes queue again. --Jakob (talk) 12:52, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

Page update, would appreciate suggestions

Hi Jakec,

You edited my first ever page, a stub article, on Louis Szathmary about a month ago. I've added a copious amount of information to that page along with a lot of great sources. While I have been careful to follow Wikipedia's guidelines, I would value an extra set of eyes from a seasoned Wikipedia editor (if you find the time, of course). Any help would be much appreciated!

Kindest regards, UIKaren (talk) 20:33, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi, UIKaren. I'd say that it looks much better now, well-referenced and comprehensive. I've done a few more minor fixes, though (mostly style changes and such). --Jakob (talk) 20:55, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Kidnapping in China

Thanks for ce. On [4], you could have added a [citation needed] tag. It is notable incident, there is whole page on wikipedia. Chiang Shek is usually referred as "Jiang Jieshi" by the natives, so if you want to study about this thing, you may have to search "Jian Jieshi kidnapping". OccultZone (Talk) 04:32, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

@OccultZone: I think that still gives undue weight to one incident. And my previous concern remains. --Jakob (talk) (Please comment on my editor review.) 22:30, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Why on earth?

You asked, "Why on earth would the administrator do that?" Simple. The administrator "consistently behaves in a manner — both as an editor and as an admin — which clearly and repeatedly violates several policies and guidelines, and is inappropriate and counterproductive for constructing an open content encyclopedia", per this Request for Comment. - 2001:558:1400:10:A091:D7AD:501E:A877 (talk) 16:40, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Hammersley Fork may have broken the syntax by modifying 4 "<>"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • |progression = Hammersley Fork --> Kettle Creek --> [[West Branch Susquehanna River]] --> [[Susquehanna River]] --> [[Chesapeake Bay]]

I came across one of your answers (about the difference between PROD and XfD) at the Teahouse

Two comments:

The important one was, excellent work. Thank you!

The nitpick was that BLPPRODs were reduced from 10 to 7 days in an RFC at the end of last year at Wikipedia:Proposed deletion of biographies of living people/RfC: Change duration from 10 to 7 days. In the context of your answer, it wasn't worth noting there, but I wanted to give you the data for future reference. Have a great week! --j⚛e deckertalk 02:29, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
