Moving the article to the main space
Hi Jake, I have updated [[Draft:: Iraj Maani]] with references . Could you please review the article and change it to a main wiki page ? Thanks,
Ssadeghi (talk) 22:53, 1 August 2017 (UTC) ssadeghi
- @Ssadeghi: Many thanks for all your work on this. I had a look and made a few style/wording updates to improve the flow of the article. However, there is some more work needed to establish the notability of the subject. Are there any more sources that verify the climbs he made and that he is a member of the national team of Iran? Wikipedia is normally looking for reputable sources and sources that specifically talk about a subject. I fear that the database links and blog mentions are not sufficient. Please also see WP:GNG, WP:ATH, WP:RS. I hope this helps. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 08:11, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks a lot Jake,
I will provide more sources. Some of the sources are in Persian since the athlete is Iranian. There are also his climbing certificates, but from my understanding including the climbing certificate is not a normal thing to do. I can also ask the athlete to provide some pictures from his summits if it helps to improve the quality of the article.
In addition to these, the name of the athlete has been mentioned on other wikipedia pages such as Nanga Parbat or in other climber's websites such as Alex Txikon. Thanks Jake to help me through with my first wikipedia article. Ssadeghi (talk) 10:13, 2 August 2017 (UTC)ssadeghi
Hi Jake,
I have updated the resources. I have also looked over the other famous climber pages and usually the news and the databases are the references. Could you please take a look and give me feedback on this? I know there is a "move" button at the top of the page but I prefer to hear feedback on my first wiki article :). I changed the wording of the article to make sure reflecting available citations. Thanks a lot, Ssadeghi (talk) 22:54, 5 August 2017 (UTC) ssadeghi
- @Ssadeghi: I have done some formal tidy up and moved it over to article space. From my point of view, this is a borderline case for individual notability. I would expect more editorial about him as a person (as opposed to him as team member) and also some Iranian news coverage about especially the successfull Nanga Parbat climb. Having said that, secondary sources show his efforts and I do appreciate that alpine mountaineering is a bit niche for mainstream media. Maybe some members of the mountaineering portal can give opinions in due course. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 07:42, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks Jake, I will add more resources. I added one for this years climb and as you mentioned I will write more about his personal successSsadeghi (talk) 15:52, 6 August 2017 (UTC)ssadeghi

Hello Jake. I don't understand why you want a speedy deletion the federal highway administration pages that I am creating, I am not trying to take credit for anyone else, this was meant to educate others so they know their history. Yes I have copied the text from government sites, but these are their words and not mine and not trying to take credit in any sort of way claiming that I wrote this.
Nancy Drew On Campus
Hi. Books are developed and written several months before publication. Anne Greenberg was editor at the time and the books were published monthly starting in September 1995. The first book would have been printed in August, possibly July. I've been in contact with many of the ghostwriters over the years and the process from approved precis and outline to publication was at least a year for these series. If readers are asked to call an 800 number in Sept or Oct to help determine a potential plot development, it would not show up in the books until Fall of 1996. Any character development would be planned for the different ghost writers for continuity. I appreciate your editing, but please do not revert this posting. It is accurate and adds to the information regarding this Nancy Drew series. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.4.88.157 (talk) 23:17, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi. I appreciate your help to improve Wikipedia and make the information presented better. Wikipedia has certain rules and guidelines for editors to ensure articles are encylopedic - that they are factually correct. One of the essential rules is that any information presented must be verifiable by other editors and the readers. To achieve this, Wikipedia requires citations to external references to be added to any substantive statement. Such external references must be credible, e.g. publications in reputable news media, published third party research or similar. See WP:VERIFY. You mention that you spoke to ghostwriters. While your effort is appreciated, this would be regarded as original research on a topic, which directly violates the rule that WP articles must not contain original research. See WP:OR. While it may be frustrating, WP editors should not be finders of truth, they should be finders of what is verifiable. See WP:!TRUTHFINDERS. I have marked the article as being in violation of those rules so that other editors can form further opinions. Jake Brockman (talk) 06:37, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

Dear Jake, Almost every new article I have proposed in the last two years has been immediately marked for speedy deletion. My interests are admittedly more niche that pop stars and Startreck ships, but what is the purpose of an encyclopedia if not to tell people things they didn't already know. (Including, perhaps especially things that are well known to speakers of other languages). The agressiveness which some users devote themselves to preventing the expansion of the Encyclopedia rather than to collaboratively improving it, is to me baffling, and disheartening. It is no surprise that this unwelcoming attitude is preventing the uptake of new users. Please understand my annoyance at your intervention within this overall context. If I caused offense I apologize. (Btw, I have no idea how to fix the wikisource link. Perhaps that is something you can help me with.). Tibetologist (talk) 13:35, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
- I can totally understand. Never mind. I have done some style fixes on that page. I also suggest moving it to the title "The Book of Expletives" instead of the pinyin westernisation, so it's more easily found. Btw, to quote a wikisource in another language, use "wikisourcelang|zh|經傳釋詞" in double curly parantheses in the source text. Jake Brockman (talk) 14:46, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Hi Jake Brockman. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Mifter (talk) 19:31, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

Hello,
I understand your opinion. I am a new entrant to Wikidpedia. As I am working on Indian History in my own small way, could you help me by telling me in step-by-step detailed method of how to correct narratives, entries, informations, and articles i find wrong and put my own article and entries on any subject whatsoever with supporting references in Wkipedia permanently. It will be distortion of history if any wrong narrative get permanently find place in Wikipedia without someone correcting it.

CSD A10
Hi, when you nominate articles for speedy deletion under A10, please check that the article title is not a plausible redirect. Redirecting instead of deleting under A10 helps prevent the creation of further duplicate articles under that title, so is more useful than deletion. Redirects are generally cheap. Looking through your CSD log, Savio Dsa and Earthlink telecommunications are examples of plausible redirects (even if one of them was deleted; admins are not consistent either...) - Hi Forceradical, I am aware of the recent news, however I believe the best place for details about the Romeo Squad would be inside the main article for the Uttar Prasdesh Police force, possibly as separate section, outlining the controversy. I applied WP:RECENT and WP:10YT to form this view. If you would like to get your article undeleted, kindly check WP:Restore. Pls note, as a reviewer, I do not have the power to delete or undelete pages. Mine was a deletion recommendation which was verified and executed by an admin. - The logs for the page Anti Romeo squads in uttar Pradesh can be found here. Please note that the general expectation is that the article space should only have "final" pages that "work in progress" or drafts should not be in the article space and are liable to be deleted at any time. It may be preferable to keep pages in your sandbox or drafts until final and then request a move to article space. This will reduce the risk of deletion as incomplete article. However, every article will still go through the same notability check. I hope this helps. Jake Brockman (talk) 13:12, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
Don't think that's an attack. It could actually be taken as a compliment. Dlohcierekim 07:01, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Kalpit Veerval
Hello Jake Brockman. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Kalpit Veerval, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: clearly claims significance and coverage in reliable sources. G11 requires the language of the article to be promotional, which it is not. Thank you. SoWhy 17:24, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
Arvind Shaligram
Hi, I just wanted to let you know the article creator (not me) removed the BLPPROD tag you left on Arvind Shaligram. I believe the minimum RS requirement has since been satisfied and so the BLPPROD tag should not be re-added; however, I have no opinion on whether the subject meets the notability guidelines and I would not object to deletion under regular PROD or AfD. Please consider making a good faith attempt to fix the article before nominating it for deletion, so as not to bite the article creator. Thanks. —KuyaBriBriTalk 23:52, 29 April 2017 (UTC)

Hi, How can my page be moved from English to French (it is written in French)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Florencechausse (talk • contribs) 21:21, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Florencechausse: There is no simple way to do this. You'd have to copy/paste the text into a new page field in french wikipedia and create it there. Attention needs to be paid to how citations are done, categories and templates as they will be different. I noted an admin has deleted the page in the meantime. He also commented there may have been a copyright violation, i.e. text copied from elsewhere. Note, WP articles need to be in own words, but well referenced and must not be identically copied from other websites, books etc. I hope this helps. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 06:59, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
PROD
Hi, you recently PRODed Soccer matches at the Giants Stadium and Soccer matches at the Levi's Stadium, saying that the article was unreferenced, but you didn't argue the notability of the subject. Do you believe the topic to be non-notable? If you do, please explain why and add the reasons to your PROD rationale. Thank you. Linguisttalk|contribs 16:06, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Linguist111:, thanks for reaching out. I saw a bunch of lists of soccer matches created recently. My main concern was indeed that no reference at all was given and as they are "all list" without any further context and links to any sources. Readers are unable to verify the accuracy of the data. I felt deletion may be warranted as WP:USI in line with any other key information that is not be referenced. I had pinged the author to add sources, which has happened in some cases, not in others. I'm neutral in regards to notability. Personally, I'm not a big fan of lists of things just for the sake of it. In this particular case, sports websites may be better (WP:NOTSTATSBOOK), unless the author wants to make the point of how significant soccer may have become... I hope that makes sense. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 16:27, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for your review
I understood that I mistakenly created a page with different language on English Wikipedia just when I created that page. Then I made Mongolian version on Mongolian Wikipedia. Also, I tried to delete the English version but I couldn't delete it. Therefore thank you for removing(or hiding temporarily) that page. I will soon change those information to English version. But there are few questions that I need to ask. 1. Is it possible to change the Page name/URL name to English version? or do I have to delete that page and create English version on new URL? (because there is no other way) 2. What do I have to do to delete that page? (coz, it had editor's conflict issue)

- Pleasure I can help. Once an article has been nominated for deletion, the discussion will be open for 7 days. At the end of which, an administrator will look through the votes and comments to see what consensus was reached. Depending on the outcome, the article will be kept (and the tag removed) or deleted at that point. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 15:10, 11 June 2017 (UTC)

Global accounts / COI
I don't actually know the answer to this. Could you please point me to some examples so I can be sure I understand the context? Deb (talk) 18:11, 13 June 2017 (UTC) @Deb: Sure, in this case, the user page on German Wikipedia states this is a marketing and communication firm working on behalf of a promoter of exhibitions. The user has been verified with the German Wiki support team. They are actively editing their primary client Nuremberg expo and, presumably, exhibitors at Nuremberg expo, such as de:RKW-Gruppe. Where English Wiki articles exist for exhibitors, they are editing or requesting edits in a similar modus operandi to German Wiki, such as here. I hope this makes sense. FxPro article
Hello Jake Brockman,
Thank you for your Keep vote in the AfD discussion of the FxPro page. Please be informed that the article has been already deleted.
I'm the FxPro employee and I believe that FxPro deserves an article on Wikipedia. And I'd like to ask you for advice - what is best way to get the article back, so that it has no COI and is 100% compliant with Wikipedia rules? The Admin who has deleted it suggested the following: appeal or recreation. However, in case I recreate it - it will be considered as COI. So, I'd really appreciate your opinion on this topic.
Kind regards, Mcmikhedoff (talk) 08:18, 27 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Mcmikhedoff:, this is a tricky one, especially since that article now has a bit of a "history" with the allegations made in the AfD. I think the article has borderline notability (if such a thing even exists) - I know of the firm as I follow the industry closely. However, Wikipedia is not about what individual people may know, it's about what can be independently and reliably verified. There's a very good essay about this. This is a daily struggle, especially in some nichés. For example: There are tons of sources out there, created by enthusiasts, about trains and rail technology. Consequently, many articles exist about even individual locomotives. They pass basic notability if they are being talked about elsewhere. On the other hand, for example, a Nepalese singer may be really famous in his country for certain classical music. He may be known to more people in Nepal than that locomotive is to people in the world. But the singer in this example has no sources that google can find. Consequently, he likely won't have an Wikipedia article. To cut a long story short: unless there are sufficient independent sources, a re-creation of the FxPro article will always struggle. I spent a good 10 mins googling, hoping I'd find recent articles in main stream media (without pay-wall), but did not find an awful lot to even convince myself - with my Wikipedia hat on. I strongly discourage conflicted editing by people related (paid or otherwise). The only thing I can see is that an independent person, like the train enthusiast I talked about above, takes it upon him or herself to build a new article in the future with a broad range of good, independent sources. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 08:44, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

- @Mcmikhedoff: I'm not sure what more advice I can give. I explained Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy. So any article driven by FxPro or employees either directly or indirectly via third parties would essentially be a COI. So I am not sure what my review of the links would help, if the course of action (IMO) is to wait for an independent author to volunteer at some point. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 21:14, 28 June 2017 (UTC)

Necrofauna Deletion Question
Hi there!
I saw that you flagged an entry on the page for the term "necrofauna" not too long ago and then replaced it with a link to the page for de-extinction. I was hoping that perhaps you could explain to me why you deleted it?
To my understanding, de-extinction is the technical term for the scientific movement (or process as it's also sometimes used) of bringing back extinct species, whereas necrofauna refers to the biological product or organism in question. I'm very interested in this subject and believe that necrofauna should have it's own article as it is different from the scientific movement of de-extinction. Necrofauna are a proxy of their origin species as they will never be the same due to their genetic composition and environmental factors.
The term is growing quickly and I have about a dozen references from published scientific articles I'd be happy to share if you'd like. I would like to make a page on this and your feedback would be helpful in ensuring I don't spend hours creating something that would also be deleted. Thanks so much for your time and I look forward to your response. :) --Baileyjramsay (talk) 20:24, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Baileyjramsay: Thanks for reaching out. If I recall correctly, a new article for Necrofauna had been submitted and when I reviewed it, it gave overdue weight to just one individual source and the username of the author of the wikipedia article showed similarities to the name of the author of the book that was being quoted. So my initial concern was conflict of interest and implied promotion for the persons own book. I am no expert in the field and when doing a simple google search, it appeared that there was not an awful lot of independent work available for a rewrite. So while my initial view was a delete for promo reasons, I changed my mind to essentially "park" the topic with a redirect to a closely related subject until an expert in the field come along with access to further scientific publications to work on an unbiased article on the subject and possibly work on the differentiation with de-extinction. I hope this makes sense. So if you'd want to have a crack at, feel free. Let me know if you need a reviewer and I'm happy to help. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 21:07, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- Thank so much for you response! That makes total sense and I'm grateful that you took the time to explain. I've got a page made in my sandbox that I'm pretty happy with and I would really appreciate your review if you happened to have any time. :) --19:55, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Baileyjramsay: I just had a look at your article. I think it is very well written and cites sufficient sources to verify they key claims. Obviously I can only speak for myself as one of many reviewers, but I would certainly regard the contents as a worthy addition to Wikipedia on the topic described. However, I struggle a little with the term "Necrofauna" under which the new article should come. Sources 1-7 essentially describe the process of de-extinction without ever calling the product of de-extinction "necrofauna". The term is only introduced in the 8th source in the context of the charismatic necrofauna, which somehow limites the scope of the term. The purpose of sources is to substantiate the main article. None of the sources really do that - they substantiate "de-extinction". I think in order to make necrofauna a stand-alone topic, the article would need more sources that refer to de-extinct animals as "necrofauna". As it stands right now, I fear that other editors will argue WP:NEO as there is insufficient evidence of the key term. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 08:50, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Jake Brockman: Hm. I understand what you're saying. There is a new book called Rise of the Necrofauna and I imagine it would be helpful to include it, but I don't think it's out yet. Do you think it's okay to mention it in the article before it's out and even though there are no non promotional sources available yet? Would it do anything is dispel the neologism concern? Additionally, I've updated the article and added a few more sources that reference the term "necrofauna" as well.

Fred White (musician)
Hey Jake
Thanks for reaching out. Yes I am in the process of updating information on drummer Fred White. And with the lack of information that was listed and available 7 years ago, I would agree that the page should have been redirected, however with the page being updating and including musical references other than EWF, his page is entitled to stand alone, of course with references and appropriate links to EWF. This updating is a process, so thanks for your patience as I continue me documented updating. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Auntielandra (talk • contribs) 12:16, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Shiwam Kumar Shrivastav
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Shiwam Kumar Shrivastav requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Blanking
Just FYI, if the author removes the speedy deletion template by blanking the page, you could tag it with G7 instead of restoring the article with the original tag as you did here. Thank you. Hayman30 (talk) 08:50, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Dream Theatre Pvt. Ltd.
Hi Jake,
This is the 1st cut of the article about the company, in the next 3 edits, we will be adding more about the licensing industry as a whole and it's dynamics in India. Yes, we are aware of the guidelines of not promoting any company. Again, we would like to mention that Jiggy George is the head of LIMA in India and we will connect the Drea Theatre Pvt; Ltd. page to LIMA India, India Licensing Post (an initiative to update industry updates at one place). Going further, we would add more about licensing dynamics as a business in India (in 2-3 weeks time).
Look forward to your advice in order to update such data on wikipedia.

- Hi Dreamtheatrelicensing and many thanks for reaching out. May I start by referring you to the comment another editor made on your talk page with regards to your user name. As it appears to be promotional and is shared in use, it is not in line with Wikipedia username policies and must be changed. The article in question is problematic as it is wholly promotional about the company and gives rise to concerns about conflict of interest as your write about your own company. I would therefore expect the article to be deleted by an admin once it is being reviewed. If you are interested in creating a new article about the licensing landscape in India, you are welcome to do so a) using a neutral username, creating a balanced article that does not have bias to any particular company or person and c) shows notability of the topic by using a wide range of reliable and independent sources. May I also point out, that I was just removed all links to your corporate website as there seems to be a problem with the site. I hope this helps. Brenntar - your last edit
Hi Jake, Hildegard of Bingen is related to Brenntar. The french Wikipedia article about Habermus/Brenntar is mainly about Hildegard of Bingen. Therefore I will use now a different ref. --Muadabuali (talk) 09:16, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
- Muadabuali that's fine. Thanks for letting me know. I am not disputing that HvB might have written about it, we just need proper references to establish the fact. The one that had been added previously IMO did not sufficiently do that. I tend to be a bit sceptical in regards to this topic as there are all sorts of things that are attributed to her (rightly or wrongly), so we need to be certain the sources reference her works directly. Privacypolicyer (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 10:56, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
- Privacypolicyer, Please have a look at what I wrote on Talk:Zhang Lijun(enterpriser). Let me briefly repeat. Being a senior exec does not make one automatically notable. The reasons are given on the talk page. Wikipedia is looking for individual notability of a person. The links you mention do not talk about Zhang Lijun as a person, but only mention him in passing in his role as Chairman. This is not sufficient. Please compare this with Jack Ma. There are ample sources about him as a person. There's a book, an interview and a report about him. What has been presented in this article is routine reporting about the company that just states the fact that Zhang Lijun is the chairman without giving any substantive information about him. Unfortunately that is not enough to establish notability for reasons I have outlined on the article talk page. I am also concerned that you said "the article [...] is my work". If you are being paid to write this article or have a relationship by working for V1 Group or anyone connected to it, you have a conflict of interest and must abide by the rules for editing when conflicted. I am also concerned about your relationship with previous users who have created or edited similar articles. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 11:50, 9 September 2017 (UTC)

- @Mustafa qaronni: I did not block your page, I recommended it to be deleted which was approved and executed by an administrator. The concern is two fold. 1. the wikipedia article seems to be written by yourself about yourself, i.e. is an autobiography. As per WP:AB, writing about yourself is strongly discouraged as it is difficult to write from a neutral point of view. Clearly, the language used included a fair amount of puffery and may therefore be promotional in nature. 2. the I am not convinced that the article passes notability, particularly notability for musicians. Wikipedia would normally be looking for wide coverage across a range of reputable media over a period of time to establish notability. I did not find such sources. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 13:22, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Colby Thibault (album)
Hello Jake Brockman. I am just letting you know that I deleted Colby Thibault (album), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, since the one you used did not apply to the page in question. Thank you. SoWhy 07:49, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- @SoWhy: Thanks. I hovered above A9 and A7 for a while as both categories actually do not fully cover the case. A9 requires the artist not to have an article ("This applies to any article about a musical recording or list of musical recordings where none of the contributing recording artists has an article). Obviously at the point in time where the CSD is submitted, he does have article - even though the artist's article will eventually not exist due to it's own A7. So it was a decision between effectively inheriting A7, which does not specifically cover recordings, just bands/artists and A9 which also is not a perfect fit. Needles to say, the entire complex of artist in combination with the hoax-esque album articles falls somewhere in the region of A7/A9/G3 if taking their spirit as guideline. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 08:07, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- I understand but A7 never applies to recordings. Either A9 does or it does not. Although the wording is not explicit, A9 usually considered valid if the artist's article is tagged for speedy deletion. I think I'll propose a clarification. Regards SoWhy 08:14, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

- Arpitjain1984 I don't question that he has received those awards, however such information needs to be proven before being added to Wikipedia. For a simple instruction to uploading images, this may be helpful: WP:IUI. Please note, that images you upload must be copyright free. However, I do not think that images are sufficient to prove any of the awards! Images don't say a lot and they can be taken out of context. In order for the awards to be proven, one of the following needs to be provided: a) an article in a major news media that talks about this (e.g. The Hindustan or Times of India), b) a link to the official website of the organisation presenting the award that shows the recipient information, or c) a press release by the presenting organisation. Six Million v The Six Million in history
Regarding the use of the definite article preceding 'six', do you know which sources do that? I am wondering if perhaps this has more potential than simply a disambiguation page and if it could potentially be a stub explaining references to 'the six million' over time. This is a phrase I've seen in news articles back to 1900, although under difference contexts like I think explaining the worldwide total of Jews or the total who were being persecuted in Russia or something like that. ScratchMarshall (talk) 15:54, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
- ScratchMarshall that's a good point. I did some initial research and did not find enough to really convince myself this may be worthy of an article. I have heard some people - particularly Americans - use it. One of my former co-workers who was Jewish referred to holocaust victims as "the six million" a couple of times.
