Stossel
Thanks for the explanation of your wording. I am glad to hear that your intentions were not to skew the tone of the article. However, I still think that "seeks to rebut" can be construed (perhaps falsely) to cast doubt on his sucess. And the recent edit by Morphh to "debate and discuss" seems too impersonal to me for Stossel's straigh-talking style, so I have modified the wording to "questions the validity", which is (hopefully) non-judgemental but consistant with Stossel's purpose. "Challenges" also seems an appropriate term, but it's already used a enough times elsewhere in the article.--Benstrider 05:40, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Speedy Deletes
There's no need to add a support statement to pages that are nominated for speedy delete - usually those are pretty clear cut. If you'd like to participate in discussion of pages that aren't quite so clear cut, I recommend Articles for Deletion. Thanks for your interest! Philippe Beaudette 04:02, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
On dating formats
I saw your question on Tjmayerinsf's talk page. You probably have your date format set to "no preference", and so you see whatever date format is written on any particular page. For example, do you see these: 17 March vs March 17 as different? If so, then click on "my preferences" at the top of the page, then click on the "Date and time" heading, you'll get a date format box which will allow you to chose whichever format you want. Than you will see wikilinked dates in that format throughout Wikipedia, regardless of which format was used in editing
that 90% or MORE of the content around here is unsourced. I am not saying it isn't accurate, but who knows? It seems that the project has exploded in content and now is is need of better/more sourcing. Cheers! --Tom 15:21, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Archives
While I'm no longer participating in the discussion at FNC, I noticed your comment regarding archives. The full information is located at WP:ARCHIVE, but in general, the best way to archive a talk page is simply using copy and paste. Some people prefer to move pages (Talk:Fox News Channel to Talk:Fox News Channel/Archive 18 for instance) but this often destroys the history of the talk page. For user talk pages, there are even bots that automatically create archives of the pages. You can see one in action on my talk page and in the history of my archives (which are linked from the talk page). It goes by the name MiszaBot III. Thanks for all your work on FNC; don't let it ruin the project for you. - auburnpilot talk 02:00, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help. I think you're the smart one for no longer participating in the FNC discussion. I tried to help resolve the dispute and now I find myself stuck right in the middle of it. --JHP 06:42, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Free cash flow
A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Free cash flow, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have perfomed a web search with the contents of William Poole (Federal Reserve Bank president), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.stlouisfed.org/news/press_room/bios.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 02:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries
Hello. Please be courteous to other editors and use edit summaries when updating articles. The Mathbot tool shows your usage of edit summaries to be low:
- Edit summary usage for JHP: 57% for major edits and 29% for minor edits. Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.
Using edit summaries helps other editors quickly understand your edits, which is especially useful when you make changes to articles that are on others' watchlists. Thanks and happy editing! --Kralizec! (talk) 03:59, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
