Jonathan J. Romaine was born in Big Springs, Texas on December 13th.

I spent 6 years in the Air Force (1999-2005). While in the Air Force and growing in discipleship at my local church I surrendered to God's call to missions. I have spent the last 6 years graduating from Bible College and Seminary in preparation to plant churches in Spain with Baptist Mid Missions. We are looking for partners in our ministry in Spain.

Of whom do we boast? I boast in nothing but Jesus Christ! The Lord taught me that no matter how successful you are in life, if you are not living in the will of God you will not have His peace that he gives to His children. Can I share with you my short story? I provided aircraft security for President G. W. Bush’s cabinet while in his first term of office. I travelled the world (literally) mainly with our nation’s dignitaries such as Sec. Donald Rumsfeld, Sec. Colin Powell, Mrs. Laura Bush, even with President Ahmed Karzi, and many others. I provided security for our fleet of aircraft as others like the Secret Service and Diplomatic Security Service would provide body guard service for the dignitaries. I served my last year at the Pentagon with the option to choose my next assignment. I was also offered a secure six figure income paying job outside of the military. What step would I take?

Before taking the flying security position I spent 6+ months in the desert of Saudi Arabia. It was there where I spent my time off reading the Word of God and understanding what the Lord wants for His children. I grew up in a charismatic & Pentecostal background. Upon my return to the states I sought for a local church. The Lord brought me to a sound Baptist church in MD where I grew in discipleship and also in my walk with the Lord. This growth occurred for several years as I also achieved great success in the Air Force. To make things really short…I found greater joy in seeing children, a Gunnery Sergeant, and others come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ than any story I experienced in the Air Force.

We are looking for partners as we seek to church plant in Spain. I travelled all over the world and realized the need for missions the need for sound Biblical churches to be planted. I travelled to many countries in the world seeing men like Colin Powell asking for partnership and support to find peace in the Middle East; Sec. Donald Rumsfeld seeking for support during the start of the Iraq & Afghanistan wars. What I share with you is true: My family seeks to be ambassadors of Christ to bring the True peace (Jesus Christ) to the Lost. We are seeking for churches who are willing to make the commitment as we have to sacrifice the things of this world for the sake of being obedient to God’s call. I hope you trust that we are committed to the work of the Lord and simply ask that you would pray for us!

We boast in Jesus Christ and not of ourselves! I share this with you because God has brought me through some interesting things. You may not believe me but one thing you must understand, We are firmly committed to the cause of Christ!
