NRHP question
I've seen you doing a lot of fine work on the Register in Illinois, and I have a question for you: I know there's some way of finding information in the National Register database on the national website, but I've got no idea how to unlock what's there. I ask because I'm trying to do something like you did for the Sycamore Historic District, only for Alexandria, Virginia; thus far, the state website has provided me with a list of properties but nothing else. Any idea where I can find the forms on the national site? --User:AlbertHerring Io son l'orecchio e tu la bocca: parla! 21:07, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ach, thanks - that's what I was afraid of. Virginia does usually do a good job of getting National Register stuff online, but at the moment all I can find for the historic district is a general list of properties and a handful of brief descriptions of some of the newer entries. I guess I'll contact Interior and see what I can get; there has to be documentation of individual entries within a historic district, correct? At least something, however sketchy? --User:AlbertHerring Io son l'orecchio e tu la bocca: parla! 16:28, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed. Ah, well - perhaps I'll try and get hold of the folks at the city historical society; maybe they'll have documentation such as I'm looking for. --User:AlbertHerring Io son l'orecchio e tu la bocca: parla! 15:26, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Gratiot's Grove (Wisconsin)
I got the stub for Gratiot's Grove (Wisconsin) done.It took myself a long time. I kept it a stub for future expansion. Also Henry Gratiot built a house the Gratiot House and apparently it is the only surviving building in Gratiot's Grove.Thanks-RFD (talk) 20:54, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
I did it finally!
Don't think I've forgot ya. :) I went on a southerly NRHP photo roadtrip yesterday and made it to Lakeland. And I made it to Florida Southern College, and got various campus shots relating to Child of the Sun. Ohmigod, it is so cool! OK, in fact it was really hot (in the 90s), but you know what I mean. I'll drop you a note once they're uploaded. Which may take a while, since I took over 470 photos. Yes, all yesterday. Possibly a personal best. So much sorting to do. I didn't get as much of Lakeland as I want, so I'll have to revisit in the future. When the weather cools, doncha know. The city has 8 historic districts, which is one of the highest in the state. And they're all butt-up against each other, so making sure I attribute photos to the correct district will take some finessing. Anyhoo, thought I'd letcha know. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 00:57, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Uploaded and you can see them at this category. The one on the right is particulary neat-o, imho. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 19:08, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
It qualifies for speedy
If it qualifies its going to get it. You could have put a {{underconstruction}} which would mean you are going to expand it. The way you did it was by just leaving an article that has only 2 sentences. Also you still haven't made a point that its so important that it should have its own article. It should be a sub section in window not a whole another article. PS you want to continue to call my names I will report you.--Fire 55 (talk) 07:43, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
I have filed a Wikiquette alert
I have filed an alert for being uncivil and impolite here Wikipedia:Wikiquette alerts. --Fire 55 (talk) 09:14, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed, as this is beyond uncivil and impolite, it has been escalated. Hello, IvoShandor/2009 archives. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. - Hi, You are also at WP:ANI . (Off2riorob (talk) 11:01, 17 June 2009 (UTC))
Ivo, There (as far as I know) is no "say it as you see it" guideline here at Wiki. Without Civility there is no real discussion possible, even if you are right you are required to stay the right side of polite, civil or respectful to the other users.. no matter what you think about the other user or the fact of whether you feel you are right. It is a sign of maturity and intelligence to rise above insults and the ability to apologise when you have been wrong allows you and the others involved to grow from the experiance. (Off2riorob (talk) 11:23, 17 June 2009 (UTC))
- Ivo, I am one of the last people to ever recommend any form of block, and I deal with problems in WQA to try and prevent blocks. I have seen the apology you posted, and appreciate that you did it. I have changed the WQA filing to "Resolved", look forward to working with you in the future, if our article interests ever cross. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 10:06, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Autoreviewer
I was going to add autoreview to your user rights, so any new articles you create will be automatically marked as patrolled on New Pages, but Acalamari beat me to it; this might help you avoid the attentions of some of the more enthusiastic new page patrollers..
