Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Sensitivity analysis into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 17:01, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User: jlwoodwa,
Please note that I am not looking to create a new page, but rather to enhance the existing page for sensitivity analysis.
Following a suggestion made by User:Snowmanonahoe and after a discussion I had at the page User talk:MrOllie/Archive_19#==Revision_of_the_"Sensitivity_analysis"_page¬== I am submitting a revision of the Sensitivity analysis page. I hope that this revision of removes the existing junk or spam and makes the page better.
Many thanks in advance. IvanaAlexML (talk) 17:15, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that you don't want to create a new article, but attribution is still required when copying article text into drafts and other non-article pages. jlwoodwa (talk) 18:28, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for the clarification. I will proceed as suggested. Have a nice evening. Best, IvanaAlexML (talk) 18:36, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Jlwoodwa, I'd like to invite you to view the edit directly on the Sensitivity analysis page. Please let me know if it's convenient. I think it's in line with Wiki rules and respects attribution, editing on the original article rather than copying it to a separate page, like I initially did (apologies for it). Also, following MrOllie's suggestion and guide, I started with small changes, while explaining the motivation that led me to make the modification/contribution. To start with, I made 2 small changes (organizing the already existing contribution into several different chapters for better visibility and also referencing the 2 already existing figures in the text that were not mentioned) and 1 larger change (adding a mathematical definition for sensitivity analysis that I felt was missing for a better explanation of sensitivity methods later on). Please note that the other big change is exactly the same as the one explained, but by mistake I published it twice.
I remain at your disposal for further exchanges and suggestions, and apologies for my late feedback due to summer holidays. I wish you both a pleasant day. IvanaAlexML (talk) 12:49, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Jlwoodwa,
I have added also few minor changes: writing mathematical equations into proper LaTex format, adding ref, and also unifying mathematical notations and vocabulary, ex. not using interchangeably meta-model, surrogate model, and emulators (to avoid confusing for beginners). Well, I've added also 3 methods, that are inevitable in state-of-the-art sensitivity analysis (Morris, moment-independent methods and chaos polynomial expansion). I'll also think about revising the introduction, to make it more straightforward and direct to the point, and put some discussion (that i see as a further discussion and complement knowledge to SA) into the chapter "More on SA, its importance, challenges and application".

Dear Jlwoodwa, I would love to make a note about my last changes on SA page. It concerns mainly the 2 following chapters: "Introduction to sensitivity analysis (SA)" and "More on SA, its importance, challenges and application". It is mainly about reorganizing both. In general, I think that there is too much repetition in introduction and it is too long. There are also some details, maybe too overwhelming for a beginner reader. Many of those details, that can be considered further discussions, are moved into "More on SA, its importance, challenges and application". I made the introduction straightforward, precise and concise. However, the other very interesting discussions, are integrated in the other chapter, making a pedagogical transition, in the SA page as an entirety. Any suggestion for improvement, is more then welcome! All the best, IvanaAlexML (talk) 01:18, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Jlwoodwa,
I just wanted to share my last up-dates. I've taken my inspiration from the French version of SA Wiki and added a section with some links towards software tools, that I found useful (in addition to what already existed in the English version). Maybe it became a little link oriented, so I proposed an article/book, that could provide a better lead while avoiding listing links. This publications (among the other references in the bibliography) suggest and describe useful software for calculating sensitivity indices using different methods, in different programming languages. And I got also a suggestion about improving the article and make it in MOS style from MrOllie. I am very grateful for all the comments and guidance you both have provided.
