You say in your edit to this article that you are the son of the article's subject. If this is true, it does not give you a privileged status to remove sourced information from the article. In fact, as his son, you obviously have a conflict of interest, which means you need to read WP:COI, which gives our policy on editing with a conflict of interest. If you believe that there are good reasons why some information should be deleted, you should make that argument on the article's talk page (Talk:R. H. Quaytman). If unconflicted editors agree with you, they will make the suggested changes, but under no circumstances should you edit the article directly. Thanks. BMK (talk) 05:39, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

@Isaacpreiss: I've removed the BLP-violating information on R. H. Quaytman's article. If someone re-adds it, I would advise you to email info-en-q@wikimedia.org and ask them to remove it, explaining that it's a violation of the child's privacy and not relevant to the artist's article. (This link is where I got that email address. The email address is run by the Wikipedia:Volunteer Response Team.) Also, I believe that Wikipedia tries to be trans-friendly/respectful (see: Wikipedia:Gender identity) so you could also mention that exposing the child's birth name in the mother's article is offensive and serves no legitimate purpose. 12.180.133.18 (talk) 15:08, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
