RE: Review

Thanks for the review, I appreciate that you gave me some constructive criticism so that i can improve as an editor! Thanks again! Tiptoety 00:46, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you again, and yes Multnomah County Sheriff's Office has been featured on Cops, actually from my understanding they were the first agency to be involved with Cops. Yes, Portland is a very pretty city, and being a Police Cadet within it is even better, I love it. I will definitely look into joining that WikiProject! Have you visited Portland before? Tiptoety 00:56, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
Wow, yes it is the Columbia river, and the sailing is great along it. I love the fact that there are so many different types of people living in Portland, thats what keeps me here (and all the trees). Anyways, thanks again for reviewing me. Tiptoety 01:03, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

no, not the image issue. But as you're around the article, would you like to put your input into Talk:Elisha Cuthbert#Birth place? Thanks. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 19:17, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

perfectly right to have removed the tag. I did so before I was an admin, and if anyone every questions your doing it (as they sometimes did for me), let me know & I'll back you up. How to deal with minimal claims of product notability is a little tricky. I sometimes use speedy G11, spam , for them because you are quite right that they dont really fit A7. Keep up the careful work--we're glad for help in checking that CSD is used only correctly. DGG (talk) 21:35, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks much, Until; Appreciate it. You might want to take a look at Imarealboy as well, but I'm sure he'll be back long enough to do something to snag a block from someone anyway. In any event, I appreciate it. Into The Fray T/C 21:04, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
I have already put that user on my watchlist, though I suspect right now he is prevented from editing due to the autoblock placed on Rkent06. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 21:40, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

AIV history

As you requested:

This IP has somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 previous blocks and has continued to vandalize, 11 more edits, 10 of which were clearly vandalism, 1 of which is questionable. Has a long history of vandalism edits going back to 2005.

This IP has been blocked twice and wound up blocked on 9-28 regardless. Only recently active; all edits appear to be vandalism.

A block log dating back to just about a year ago. 14 previous blocks. Wound up blocked 9-28 and currently blocked.

Reported @ 13:54, removed @ 14:04 by SQL, yes, but replaced @ 14:05 because it was removed in error. 5 total blocks, all from September, wound up blocked 9-28.

176 good reports 8 bad reports 2 self removed

186 total, 4.54545454545455% not blocked

Alas. The ones 8-1 and previous aren't troubling, because I was still very much an FNG. Bird College of Dance, Music & Theatre Performance

Hi there, I've been working on the Doreen Bird and Bird College articles being an ex-student and now teacher, but I'm tearing my hair out to make it obvious why they are notable subjects without sounding like I'm putting out an advert for the place. Can you look them over and give me some advice, also I think I may have mistakenly removed some editing regarding sources as I have the source material, but I need some help linking to it and ought to have left the editing in place until I was sure I had marked everything up correctly. I'm really inexperienced with Wikipedia, but both articles have been listed for deletion before and I'm making sure that both subjects have decent, well written articles as it is not overstating the college's status for it to be on Wikipedia, as it is indeed on of the few specialist performing arts colleges in the country and is recognised amongst the best in the World. In musical theatre and theatrical dance circles it has a reputation similar in standing to the Royal Ballet School in the ballet field and other similar dance institutions. Crazy-dancing 15:41, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

My friend Crazy-dancing! I haven't heard from you in a long time. It's good to hear from you. I noticed that you moved Bird College the other night. I'd be more than happy to help you with the article. One snag is that I'm going on a wikibreak here shortly, so I may not be around as much as I generally am. But we can knock heads over the next couple days and see what we may make of it. Oh, and I don't think you need to worry about deletion any more. But it would be great to get the articles sourced, because that's a critical function here. I've learned a bit since I first went over the articles with a fine tooth comb; Let's see what we can do. I'll have a look tonight, hopefully, when I am home from work. Until then, take care. Into The Fray T/C 18:30, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

I know you've been commenting on the dispute on Talk:Tom Cryer. Perhaps you'd like to co-mediate with me or just comment on the case?--Phoenix 15 19:36, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

I have been pretty actively involved, yes, based on an RfC that I came across. I'll elaborate more later in the Cabal page for it, because I have some thoughts that I would like to share. There are numerous complications with the idea of me as a co-mediator at this point. . . but purely from a logistic standpoint, I will be going on a Wikibreak here shortly and I have already taken up another Cabal case myself. So, no, I won't co-mediate. But I'll elaborate more either later tonight or tomorrow. Thank you very much for your note, though. Cheers, Into The Fray T/C 20:33, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for removing my warn, you beat me to the revert! Good job! Tiptoety 23:03, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Happens all the time; I don't usually revert, but when I saw that this was the very first edit from this IP, kicking off with a final warning seemed a little extreme. Cheers, Into The Fray T/C 23:05, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
It was an "only warning", do the the content of the vandalism, but i have no problem with you removing it. Tiptoety 23:06, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
And just as i though he vandalized again, he is one to keep an eye on. :) Tiptoety 23:10, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Yep, I saw that. But the likelihood that an admin would block after an IP's first edit (vandalism or otherwise) is very, very low.  ;) Seems to be just a kid playing around. Into The Fray T/C 23:12, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
I agree, and i would not have reported right away, its just a only warn is a greater deterrent then a level one or two warn, but each editor his has or her own philosophies on anti-vandal work. Cheers! Tiptoety 23:15, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Why would you make an unenforceable warning? Why would you use "last warning", which implies others have been given, when they haven't? Very confusing. Into The Fray T/C 23:17, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
To me an only warn means that this is there only warning, and that they may have not vandalized before, but do to the severity of the vandalism they need a higher level warn, if i was to insinuate that they had been warned previously i would place a final warning warn on the users page. I do see and understand where you are coming from, and i do not disagree with you 100%, but i have reported IP's (which had only made 2 edits) for a vandalism after a only warn and have had them blocked. Tiptoety 23:23, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

(redent) That's my fault, I was thinking you were putting a level 4 warning out, which didn't make a lot of sense to me. An "only" makes more sense, but it's awfully bitey for a first time editor. Sorry, when I'm watching changes, I don't generally pay much attention to discussion. Into The Fray T/C 23:26, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Thats no problem, i guessed that you thought it was a final warn, and if i did put a final warn on there you would be very right!! And i agree, maybe i was a bit harsh in doing so, but when you add racial slurs and an abundant amount of vulgarity, i do not think that that editor is here to contribute to the pedia in a constructive way, but who knows, maybe i am wrong! Cheers!! Tiptoety 23:32, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
In other news. . . I seem to have lost my 'warn' tab in twinkle. Very strange. Into The Fray T/C 23:34, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
lol, no worries ;) Tiptoety 23:40, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

User:CynFilm's edits

You've already noticed part of what she's doing on Wikipedia (what polite edit summaries[!]); but I fear she is still tromping all over our COI policies, with the best of intentions. Could you check my judgment on this one? Don't want to bite the noob, but really.... --Orange Mike 16:16, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I prod'd their first contribution, if memory serves and then cleaned it up a bit for them. It's on my "AfD" list of to-do's. I saw their most recent contribution based on your recommendation; Do you think they could mention their company any more frequently? I think you'd be fully within reason to politely draw their attention to WP:COI and explain how they're definitely on the wrong side of it. If they don't desist, I'd recommend a report to the COI noticeboard. I'll look at it more tonight but, as usually you do, I think you have the right of it, Mike. I *would* like my user page deleted

Someone vandalized my user page; you proposed it for speedy deletion and then thought better of it, just reverting it to blank. That was the expedient and sensible thing to do, but I would in fact like the page deleted. Can you re-propose it (or - can I?) Thanks - JohnInDC 01:34, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Good morning!

Hee hee. And, thank you for having that quick finger! You beat me about 4 times with that anon, lol. I decided to leave up the last comment, just because perhaps he's serious, and it would be good to know later if that's the case. Plus, it isn't every day that someone tips their hat to me, lol. Thanks for helping revert all of that! ~*Hugs*~ ArielGold 10:30, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

I tip my hat to you, dear!  :) And it's always a sticky judgment call when reverting vandals comments, mm? Did you notice his "Whitney Houston" comment? I removed that from your page as well. I'll fish it out and put it back if you like. I have to admit that I'd moved to a revert-first-and-ask-questions-later strategy.  ;) Anyway, good morning to you. *coffee sip* Into The Fray T/C 10:38, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Yes I did notice that one and yeah that's fine to remove. I did reply to it on the anon's talk page though, just to try to encourage them to stop. Hopefully the time-out will make them think. Never know! Thanks for keeping watch on my page, dear! ArielGold 10:47, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps it will and I admire your warmth with newcomers -- I'm similar when it comes to folks who really want to contribute. Absent evidence of that, I have a somewhat less . . . welcoming view.  ;) Cheers, Into The Fray T/C 10:54, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

LOL, too true. I don't know why, but that didn't even occur to me. Twinkle, heal thyself, I suppose. :D Into The Fray T/C 11:32, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
There originally going to be an Alanis music joke in the title given your lifesaving username, but I decided against it. Will (talk) 14:10, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Mmmokay, I'm a little lost. I get the How To Save A Life reference, but what's ol' whiny got to do with it? :D Btw, the reference to 'The Fray' was not my intention with the name. I just coughed up a phrase and, well, here I be with it. Into The Fray T/C 14:33, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
You know, I have to say, I'm not really into all this stuff kids call "music" these days, but that Fray song just rocks. I love it, and yes when I see your name, I hear "How to save a life" lol. Excellent song, truly. (Although I dislike the rest of the stuff, listened to sound bites from Amazon after I hear that song, too bad they aren't all good like that one, lol) ArielGold 14:38, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I saw them on . . . CBS's version of The Today Show (I'm too lazy to look it up). The song's catchy, I think, but it would get on my nerves after a while. But, then, I have a somewhat eclectic taste when it comes to music anyway, so. Into The Fray T/C 14:42, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
LOL My tastes run the gamut, everything except the new rap/alternative junk that I don't consider "Music", lol. I like Opera, Classical, Country, old school rock, R&B, soul, contemporary, Christian, and a whole bunch of other stuff, lol. Sadly, most CDs only have 1-3 songs on them that I like though, lol. Ah well. With that, Ariel is off to lay her head down and sleep for a bit. Hold down the fort, Fray! ArielGold 14:50, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Sleep sweet, dear. I, incidentally, slay myself [2]. And we should compare musical notes sometime, 'cause I feel much the same way. It's the rare album that I like, but I can always find a song. Or almost always. Take good care. Into The Fray T/C 14:53, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Bird College

Hey, I have added a new source backing up a lot of the things, I did get your message that I've added stuff to the article, but I didn't add the source yet, I just saved the page until I'd found the what you m'call it that links to it on the internet. If you have a read, it's the one where I've written "See Page 4", I think this should cover most of the things, but will look for others. I do have hard copy sources from Dancing Times and Dance Expression Magazines, but they are all cutouts, so don't have dates or issue numbers. Crazy-dancing 17:16, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
