re e-mail
I replied to your question about the webmaster[at]web-friend[dot]com site on my talk page. Was there something I should be looking for in that email addy? — Ched : ? 15:42, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- I sent you an email there, was hoping for a response from that email. لennavecia 15:43, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'll try to find it .. do you know what date? — Ched : ? 15:49, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

- OK ... found it. Using the "Contact and feedback" form made it easier too. Currently d/l 8K of msgs to my server, will respond from that email later today. Can also send you the OTRS type of info that I've provided User:Huntster and User:Royalbroil should the WP:RIP thing arise. (hopefully many many years down the road). — Ched : ? 18:02, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey, Lara, just letting you know that your article has been nommed for deletion cause no one else did. لennavecia 20:21, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Strange protection
No idea really, must have been a mistake. I see that my edit immediately prior dealt with an actual high-visibility template[1] so I'm guessing I meant to protect that. Calliopejen1 (talk) 19:46, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Category deletions
I noticed you speedy deleted Category:2-A1A locomotives and Category:3-A1A locomotives as being "empty", while neither category is empty, both have FM OP800 as a member. The speedy deletion of both of these categories was declined several days ago.Wuhwuzdat (talk) 17:23, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

You deleted Category:CfD 2009-07 which is a maintenance category which should not be deleted. These are created a few at a time and deleted when empty after they are used. This category will be used starting July 1. Vegaswikian (talk) 22:30, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

You deleted this because they were empty? They have more than a dozen articles in them, did you look at these before performing these actions? Could you please restore them since they are populated? --Jeremy (blah blah) 17:43, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- Misunderstanding in how d-batch would work wrt active categories wrongly listed. Having selected the option to remove backlinks, I was under the assumption that it would be the same as images or articles, wherein the deleted active category would be removed from any articles using it. Then I could go through my contribs, restore such categories and revert the removals. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, it didn't do that. Not sure why. I restored the first and third. The second isn't bringing anything up. Typo maybe? I'll look for it. لennavecia 17:47, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Also, Category:Wikipedia requested photographs of bartending please, this is a cat that gets populated, emptied and populated as needed per tagging via WP:MIX template. If an article is tagged as needing a photo, it gets one and the needs-photo parameter is deleted from the article, thus removing the article from the cat. --Jeremy (blah blah) 18:33, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Deletion of Category:Requested history purges
Hello,
You found the above empty because it's currently not backlogged. However, it is used by {{copyvio-histpurge}} to mark articles which started as copyvios but have then been cleared of infringement for a partial history removal, which means it fills up when article gets tagged and clears when it has no more backlog. Finally, it is re-used to display the same backlog at the wikiproject Copyright Cleanup. Could I kindly ask you to reconsider?
Thanks. MLauba (talk) 17:55, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I noticed that you deleted the category Category:Undated AfC submissions (log action). Although the category is empty, it is importation for WikiProject Articles for Creation maintenance, and does contain submissions on a regular basis. I recreated it based on what I remember being in the category (I also added the {{empty category}} template so it won't be deleted in the future), but could you please tell me if the category was part of any other categories before it was deleted? I'm not an admin, so I can't use the Special:Undelete function, but you can. Thanks, The Earwig (Talk | Editor review) 17:58, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. Did you really mean to delete this category? It's neither empty nor it should usually be deleted even if. I'd restore it but I wondered whether there was some reason to it that I simply don't understand. Regards SoWhy 18:29, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Message from Lara (Jennavecia) on wrongly deleted categories
Chances are pretty good you've noticed I wrongly deleted a category. Apologies. Mistaken on how a tool would work. So I'm going through and restoring and tagging as necessary with {{empty category}}. Off to work now, so if you need a category restored, list it here and either I or one of my TPSs will restore it for you. Again, sorry for the confusion. My bad. لennavecia 19:41, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Why did you delete Category:Articles needing coordinates from June 2009?? This is a maintenance category. It is created before the beginning of the month, and should be kept at least till the end of the month. Debresser (talk) 01:52, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

User page mark up question
Hey, when I try to insert this on my user page it completely messes everything up. Any idea how to fix this? — Please comment R2 19:03, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- There appears to be a character limit to what will keep it on the left. I tried using
and also tried
, but neither worked. I tried adding part of it and it worked fine, but adding all of it moves it. Best suggestion, condense the wording and try again. I don't know the why of it, though. It doesn't make sense to me. لennavecia 00:21, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Pigeons in aerial photography
Well it looks as though I owe you a sorta kinda (shuffles feet) apology regarding pigeons being able to carry a decent sort of weight whilst flying at the very least. Thanks to Hans soaring like an eagle the role of pigeons in this branch of photography is properly recognised in what is now a great little article - one that will no doubt have some more added to it in due course. Cheers. Albatross2147 (talk) 13:47, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. Hans has done a great job finding sources and rewriting the article. Very interesting stuff. لennavecia 14:23, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

You can put this absurd rumor to rest. I came to the article with Kim Bruning in order to fix a computer science article. Moulton was banned from the article and Picard didn't get it deleted, so she wanted her information about her work and the rest put into the article. We took the information and I worked it into a usable system. I also found news reports and the rest that talked about her research. Kim and I minimized the scandalous aspects and got it to a state that Picard was content with. I talked to her about the article over 4 times through email, especially when I was seeking clarification on AI (as I do not have a computer science background). - Ya, ya. لennavecia 19:22, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think it is odd that I am described as hating Moulton when I risked quite a bit to defend him and almost got him to come back (the three emails he sent to Jimbo removed that possibility). Perhaps it is because I risked a lot defending other people (like Malleus and others) that it is no longer anything "special" and so means nothing. Ottava Rima (talk) 19:37, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- I never thought you "hated" Moulton (at least not anymore than most people), but it's one of those situations where I neither know nor care. The thread becoming about you is a derailment. لennavecia 19:40, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- There are only four people at Wiki that I could say I hate (or even dislike). You are definitely not one, even though you can be a total jerk sometimes. That isn't a personal attack, because it describes your actions. :D Ottava Rima (talk) 19:44, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- You said I can be a jerk, not that my actions are sometimes jerk-like. !! But I'm not offended by such comments anyway, because I have something many people here lack: self-awareness. :) It's more SPADE than NPA, really. However, I do prefer bitch to jerk. Jerk is too masculine. لennavecia 19:48, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- I don't really think of you as either. Mostly, if I was to put a label it would be "Tool fan". You can make of that what you will. :P Ottava Rima (talk) 00:37, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oooh! Have I made your list of four? *Dan T.* (talk) 20:11, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think with a little ingenuity you can figure out a pattern that involves four specific individuals that may have done something enough to bother me. Ottava Rima (talk) 00:37, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

- There are only four people at Wiki that I could say I hate (or even dislike). You are definitely not one, even though you can be a total jerk sometimes. That isn't a personal attack, because it describes your actions. :D Ottava Rima (talk) 19:44, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- I never thought you "hated" Moulton (at least not anymore than most people), but it's one of those situations where I neither know nor care. The thread becoming about you is a derailment. لennavecia 19:40, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, if block logs display in set timezones, considering mine is UTC -4, I would guess:
- 11:53, June 20, 2008 Moreschi (talk | contribs | block) blocked Ottava Rima (talk | contribs) (account creation blocked) with an expiry time of indefinite (Persistent tendentious editing: will unblock when this editor actually acknowledges he's doing something wong) (unblock | change block)
Amirite? لennavecia 04:48, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well, lets just say that if you match up the people in the Moreschi cabal and look at my RfA, you can see a strong mutual dislike. :) Folantin still causes problems over at Ludovico Ariosto. It is impossible to ever fix that page as she has made it clear that, well, she just doesn't care. Ottava Rima (talk) 13:32, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

- WTF is wrong with me? Why am I supporting Peter Damian, especially after some of the crap he claimed about me and the Johnson page (refuted on his talk page and yet no response), when I could easily just burn him at the stake with the others? Sigh, a perfectly good opportunity all because I try to have these things called "ethics" and "morality". Isn't integrity supposed to make you feel better about yourself? Bah! Ottava Rima (talk) 02:17, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- You will have your reward in Heaven Ottava, just as I will get mine in Hell. --Malleus Fatuorum 20:57, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yea, what Malleus said. Ethics and morality have no place on Wikipedia, Ottava. Nor logic. You are, apparently, lost. لennavecia 23:16, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Nick Leddy
Hi, Nick Leddy meets notability criteria per WP:HOCKEY/PPF#NOTE, I don't know how the article looked before deletion but if you restore it I will make sure it's up to standards tomorrow. Cheers! —Krm500 (Communicate!) 00:27, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- It's unreferenced and he's only a high school player. I assume having been drafted in the first round to the NHL is the claim to notability. I thought they had to play a game first. Either way, add a reference that establishes notability as soon as you're able, please. Thanks. لennavecia 00:30, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- He has also won a major award. Did some quick improvements but will work more on it tomorrow. Thanks for your help. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 01:19, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Bathgate
re: Andy Bathgate. Could you use the Sr./Jr. modifiers? — Ched : ? 17:57, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- I believe that has to be sourced, and I don't think there are any such sources. لennavecia 18:02, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well, since the grandfather started his career here (Pittsburgh), and the grandson was drafted on Sat. (Penguins), there's quite a bit of local press covering it. I don't know if the middle names are the same or not at this point. Perhaps a Andy/Andrew distinction will be made soon. I'll keep an eye open (and maybe even actively do some searching! ;-O). I'll see what I can find. I'm actually a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, so it's not like some obscure topic I couldn't care less about. I'll get back to you ASAP. — Ched : ? 18:48, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- poor wording actually. Grandfather Bathgate actually ended his own personal career in Pgh. .by helping start the Penguins franchise — Ched : ?

BLP question
I'm going to be vague, but on purpose. In your understanding of BLP - no matter how many "reliable sources" (news articles, journal articles, etc) claim that a crime was committed by people, Wikipedia cannot claim that a living subject actually committed a crime if the court did not convict them of that crime? Ottava Rima (talk) 00:17, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
- Just email me the article. It's never wise to comment on real situations framed as hypothetical ones. لennavecia 00:27, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
