WP:3RR Notice

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Hello (Adele song) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. -- samtar whisper 13:49, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

PC steals the thunder

Have you gone through Bajirao Mastani reviews? The film has received very positive reviews. But, 90% of them have singled out Priyanka Chopra in the film. I haven't seen the film, as I had exam today and have another tomorrow. I will watch it on Saturday evening. What do you think?Krish | Talk 09:20, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

I haven't even seen any Indian film in a long time. We don't get many films in UK, lol. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 09:44, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Adele certification

Hi IndianBio. Can you please explain why you deleting the certifications of the German sales of 25 and also the sales update of 19? And also why you took off the sales summaries on the main discography site? Germany is the third biggest market for music sales worldwide so why is it preferd to display Ireland and Canada but not Germany? Cheers for answering. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MontyPhyton (talkcontribs) 22:35, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi, you used certifications to add sales content to the table, which is not accepted. Hence it was reverted. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 21:32, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
Not sure I get it. Why I can't update the sales certification at the Discography mainpage? The certification notes are from the official music industry scan Bundesverband Musikindustrie. Who else would do this? Because the currently displayd certification are displaying only the first week, but 25 sold more than 1 mio units in Germany so far.
Certifications cannot be used to update sales. Please read WP:RS policy of Wikipedia. An album can be certified for 500,000 copies but actual sales might be more than that (say 670,000) or less than that (say 489,000). Sales should come from reliable sources. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 22:09, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

disruptive editing

Hi,

I'm not trying to disruptive edit anything. I'm just trying to do a better job a writing the plot then gets done by you or whomever does it. You all don't do a good job writing a plot summery. PERIOD!! And as far as not having a reputable source does the episode itself and me taking notes on the episode itself and then transcribing that down on my computer and adding it to the section not count as a reputable source??????????????????????????

You are being really unfair to me and I don't know where you get off threatening me when what you are saying clearly doesn't apply to what I am doing. I hope that you realize that I have as much right to edit on here as you do and that whatever problem you have with me stops right now. I have done nothing wrong and you are just mad I'm sure because you're not being spot lighted.

I just wanted to let you know that I didn't do anything wrong and you sir or madam are way off base.

Adele (21)

Okay, I see that you are on the side of the consensus and I will attempt no further edits.

But, so, if she's both 11x Platinum AND Diamond, how does one acknowledge both? Apparently, one cannot. Not according to the current template, anyway. So who makes that determination? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ironywrit (talkcontribs) 16:32, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Good lord, why don't you understand that 11x plat is > than Diamond. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 17:27, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
No, I get it, now ... another Wikipedian explained the whole thing, very cordially, to me. Nathan (talk) 19:01, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
You know, I've hemmed and hawed at it for a while ... and I think that a showing in the charts is a sign of respectability, and a Diamond certification is a sign of respect. ... There must be SOME way to represent both? Yes, most logical people can figure it out for themselves, but, 11x Platinum doesn't stand out. ... at that stage, it's a ridiculous waterfall of platinums. Diamond stands out. Do you see where I am going? Adele is an exceptional once-in-an-age musician, and she should be afforded the kind of stand-out recognition I was attempting to chronicle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ironywrit (talkcontribs) 02:05, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
I really can't explain anymore to someone who does not understand that 11x platinum is already a greater certification than Diamond. And diamond certification can be included in the prose itself. And statements like "Adele is an exceptional once-in-an-age musician, and she should be afforded the kind of stand-out recognition I was attempting to chronicle" is not what we look for as that is considered a fancruft and fan's point of view which are never neutral. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 11:11, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
I understand all of that. I've been reading Wikipedia guidelines. I used to edit frequently, but that was about 10 years ago... and I fell away from it. I'm not a dolt. I just forgot the POV rule... which is like the prime directive of Wikipedia. Nathan (talk) 13:35, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi!

Hi IndianBio :)! I want to ask you something. Actually I'm from Wikipedia in Spanish, and I'm working in Another Suitcase in Another Hall#Madonna version. My question what would be the release date of the single. Because the article says that the song was released on March 24, 1997, but here says that was released on November 30, 1996, here on March 3, 1997, and here on June 17, 1997. What would be the real release date? Thank you very much, and congratulations for your work in Madonna's articles. MadonnaFan (talk) 21:21, 22 December 2015 (UTC) PS: Sorry for my English...

Hi MadonnaFan. I researched found that 3 March 1997 is the correct date for ASIAH. And goodluck with Spanish Wikipedia. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 22:39, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Cancel Singapore show on MADONNA REBEL HEART TOUR

Hello IndianBio, I just wanna say that the announced show for 28th february on Singapore was canceled few days before its announcement. As you can see on http://www.madonna.com/tour the show has been deleted. People who bought tickets for that show was sent a letter saying that the show is moved to a next date that is not scheduled now and buyers can ask for refund their money if they don't want to wait for the next date, but nowdays there is no Singapore show announced, so the total shows of the tour are 81.

I don't see the media reporting? Lets wait for the new date to come up and then move it. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 11:09, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

message about Adele's new album 25

dear sir, One day ago, the Billboard official chart claimed that the sales volume of the fifth week of Adele's 25 was 1,150,000(alone in the USA), it was true. But today the Billboard changed the figure, sayig that it was 1,160,000. There is no big difference between 1.15m and 1.16m, but we are just trying to be more accurate. Information about this is available on Billboard's official chart. Thanks for the I hope re-checking.

Bedtime Stories

Hello IndianBio how are you! Just wanted to tell you that I made some changes in Bedtime Stories; added some new information regarding titling, critics, a promotional interview she had and added a new image. I have a doubt regarding the album's title information I added, as I don't know how to explain it on the article; I found it here. Perhaps you can read it and find a way to probably explain it on the article?? I also found this critic towards the album; I'd add it myself but I have to run some errands, hope you won't have a problem adding it. Thank you! Hope all is well! --Chrishm21 (talk) 00:18, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

Beyonce

Hey. I think it would be fair to also have her sales modeled after List of best-selling music artists. She has 67.8 million in certifications, that tally of nearly double (118 solo) would be stretching it even for Whitney Houston. As you are active on both, I'd appreciate some support maintaining these consistencies. I think the 75m she has on the list, plus the "60m" of DC is more than fair and unbiased.--PeterGriffinTalk2Me 03:41, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Everybody (Madonna song)

Hello, IndianBio! Yeah, I was actually gonna add "disco" to the Infobox, but upon research I found the single 'Everybody' was released the during post-disco era and that post-disco is found on the 'Madonna' album: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-disco#1980s:_Golden_age https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madonna_%28Madonna_album%29

The links above use TruthAboutMusic and AllMusic as a source. http://www.allmusic.com/album/madonna-mw0000268192

The MadgeICLife fanblog refers to the song as post-disco. It's a fan page, but that doesn't necessarily invalidate the information. Rolling Stone refers to the song as disco. Now, is 'Everybody' more disco or post-disco? What do you think? Either way, disco is correct (since post-disco draws from disco). Israell (talk) 11:45, 23 January 2016 (UTC)

Beautiful Stranger

Hi! Just letting you know that adding additional information about Madonna's work with Orbit, whom she has very notably worked with, is not adding irrelevant information. The song is one of the best examples of Orbit's work with her, and there is nothing inappropriate about including how she had previously worked with him on her critically acclaimed album "Ray of Light" and would later work with him again. If anything, it makes the fact and realization that this is an Orbit collaboration clearer. There is nothing wrong with that being clear in this article. This page CANNOT just be your way or what you want. We make compromises for all of the other people who edit this page. You have no right to delete good information that enhances this article. I will be reverting every single deletion of my post. You're not going to bully me. The only way my edit will be deleted is if Wikipedia itself decides that it is inappropriate information.

Hope this explains things! Have a good day Ilovebeth1994 (talk) 15:12, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

Im curious as to what changed your opinion about the Send My Love article. You literally said "Go ahead and create it" to me. Comments? __MaranoFan (talk) 13:31, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi MaranoFan my go ahead was under the assumption that the article would have the notability clauses assigned to it, meaning it would be expanded as a standalone article full of sources indicating it passing WP:NSONGS. However, when I finally saw the article it was full of Album review sources which was not where I supported its creation. Hence I commented its merge. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 13:54, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

An idea

I've recently been thinking about Gaga's articles and her upcoming 30th birthday in March. While there is little if any chance at this point of her becoming FA in time to be TFA on March 28th given the amount of work needed in addition to the time it would take up at PR, FAC, and TFA requests, I thought maybe if your GAN for "Til It Happens To You" passes in time, we could have that featured on main page through DYK for her 30th on March 28th. What do you say? Snuggums (talk / edits) 16:51, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Absolutely incredible idea SNUGGUMS! Seeing that the song is becoming kinda important because of all the awards and stuff, it is brilliant if we have a DYK for it on Gaga's 30th birthday. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 20:16, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
Best of luck at GAN. I also really hope she gets an Oscar and/or Grammy for it! They would likely make good hooks if she wins. Snuggums (talk / edits) 20:19, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
SNUGGUMS yes it would be great if she does. Its almost iconic how she has managed to turn around her downfall and make a sort of comeback. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 10:04, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
It might not be the musical comeback to charts that fans hoped for, but it's definitely something that brought her back to the spotlight :). Snuggums (talk / edits) 15:14, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
True, I don't think she will ever gain that PF/BR/JD kind of success, but maybe "Applause" kind of success. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 17:43, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
I have to disagree with you on the success. Everyone was talking the same about Justin Bieber and even Adele (in 2015) but look where they are. I expect the same from LG5. Anyway, once my current FAC is closed, I can work with you guys on Gaga's biography and make it an FA and a subsequent TFA (may not be possible for her 30th birthday) for her 31st birthday, maybe? -- Frankie talk 20:04, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
