User talk:RichardDawkins
here User talk:RichardDawkins#Editing_your_own_biography., you asked if I had 'checked the previous conversations on this page?' I had done. Why do you ask? Am I missing something? GameKeeper (talk) 22:53, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Re:note on my talk
No, I am not an admin (you can find that stuff out at Special:Listusers, FYI). Since I have never written a single article, and don't spend much time editing them, I doubt I could become one if I wanted. If you've been seeing me everywhere, it's only because I've been taking a break from my degree and spending far too much time perusing the refdesk. Algebraist 22:08, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Can BritaTM Containters Leach BPA?
I could not find the plastic number marking on the container.68.148.164.166 (talk) 06:53, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
That was an interesting edit, and I like it. I don't know about other people, but it's hard for me to summarize plots because as someone who has seen the film, I know all the details but a lot of it is unimportant for the article. Thanks for the edit! Gary King (talk) 23:51, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- If you've got time, could you take a look at Final_Fantasy_VII#Story and see if you could summarize it a bit? I've been working on that article somewhat recently but have slowly been working my way through the story :) My progress can be found at Talk:Final Fantasy VII/Story, where I try to convert the important points to bullets first. Gary King (talk) 00:05, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- I should have mentioned that it would be a bit of a challenge. Gary King (talk) 01:24, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- The Story section is already bursting at the seams so I don't think it can handle much more. If something is completely wrong, though, then feel free to take it out. Gary King (talk) 01:39, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Re: Still Standing
I don't think ''Still Standing'' will ever be avalible on dvd, unless they make new episodes. Marshall T. Williams (talk) 17:25, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

There are no atheists in foxholes -- unsourced edit (phrase is U.S. centric)
Hi IR. This is a courtesy note informing you that I removed your recent unsourced edit to There are no atheists in foxholes where you said that "the phrase rarely if ever refers to soldiers from other countries besides the United States." I invite you to restore the edit with appropriate citation (see Wikipedia:Verifiability) or to open a discussion on the talk page. -- Thinking of England (talk) 15:02, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Funding bias
Hi. Thanks for your comment last April at Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Archives/Science/2010 April 14#Research influenced by funding source. As a result of that conversation, I finally wrote the article funding bias. I referenced the book you mentioned, Influence: Science and Practice. Unfortunately, I don't have that book, although I used it as a citation for text I wrote based on your comment. I'd appreciate if you check what I wrote for accuracy. Thanks. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:32, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Fair Use Image
It was not an IP editor, 'taws I, a fully registered user who remocved the image. Fair use images should be kept to a minimum. The Epoch Times article is already illustrated with a fair use image, so we don't need to add more, especially when ther eis no critical commmentary related to the image. -- Whpq (talk) 22:22, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- It carried commentary before your first removal. Imagine Reason (talk) 22:58, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Newspaper cover image
Hi, I noticed the other day that you restored your file on the Epoch Times page, in the process removing the organization's logo. After you did this, I reviewed the pages for several other newspapers, and in all cases found that they were illustrated by a photo of the entire front page of the paper. See, for instance, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, or Christian Science Monitor. This is done for good reason; including partial covers may misrepresent the subject. As such, I've uploaded a low-resolution image of the paper's front page. I am informing you so as to preempt any alarm caused by the inevitable orphaned image note. Best, Homunculus (duihua) 06:38, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

High quality sources
The BBC got the story wrong. The CDC did not state "In 2012, baby boomers were advised by the Center For Disease Control to test for the disease, the first time such screening has been recommended in America." And the BBC did not even provide a reference for their sources. Here is the CDC site where they state that they have a "draft" guideline proposed. This is not a full fledged recommendation. http://www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/newsroom/HepTestingRecsPressRelease2012.html

Chinese commercial real estate question
Hey Imagine Reason! Last week you asked a question on the Humanities Reference Desk, WP:RDH#Is it easier to sell a commercial property in China with or without a restaurant lessee?, but the question was hatted just hours after you asked it. I believe that action to have been inappropriate and I have raised the issue at WT:RD#Chinese commercial real estate question. Barring objection there, I will repost your question tonight when your original one archives. Given Wikipedia's WP:Systemic bias, your question is unlikely to receive an answer, but it should be given a fair chance. Cheers! ToE 12:02, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hey again. The editor who originally hatted your question has told me that she has no objection to it being unhatted, and another editor has done so. I've gotten several other nods of support, so I'm happy to bump your question down to the bottom of the page to give it a fair run, though I'm pessimistic about it receiving a useful answer. Would you like me to do so? -- ToE 23:33, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
