NBA players
[edit]Welcome! I see you have created several articles about NBA players. You might consider joining Wikipedia:WikiProject NBA if this is a topic of interest to you. --EngineerScotty 20:10, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- You might notice the changes I made to Lawrence Moten and Cherokee Parks; basically I "wikified" the article (turning words with articles into article links, using two square brackets), added the tag {{hoopsbio-stub}}, and added several revelant categories. --EngineerScotty 20:15, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Likewise, I did the same with Kaniel Dickens. Anything you can do produce a more complete product before moving on to the next article creation or update will help the usability of the data here at Wikipedia. Thanks! -- Scientizzle 21:31, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Just add on to what the others have said, the easiest way I have found to wikify everything is to find an article you have already and copy/paste it into the new article. All you have to do is change the player's name, teams names, biographical info, and college names and you're done! Happy editing!Patken4 23:47, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions to the Manganitis article, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Hi! Thanks for adding the page about Clifford Rozier. I've added a number of (hopefully) useful wikilinks, added a stub and a few obvious categories. I've also slightly modified the style (i.e. made the name bold, made a paragraph break after the intro) and hope that when you add more NBA players you might consider basing what you do on my modifications. If you disagree with my edits or have any questions about how to make your pages more 'wikified', don't hesitate to get in touch. Keep up the good work with adding information to Wikipedia! tags
[edit]Please don't remove tags without solving the problem cited. The article Larry Drew does need wikification, sources and categorization. It could use some expansion too. Brian 15:42, 13 July 2006 (UTC)btball
Capitalization
[edit]Please note that as per the wikipedia manual of style, section headings should only be capitalized for propper nouns and the first letter of the title. Many (or all) of your edits have been using all caps in the section headings. In the future, please do not do this. Thanks. --KPWM_Spotter 18:48, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- I have noticed that you have begun to user lower case letters. Thank you. Still stands is the fact that you have not been citing sources. If you are getting the information for your pages from a single book or website, you can simply fill out a template and paste it to all the pages under a new "sources" section. For further information, please see Wikipedia:Cite sources. --KPWM_Spotter 19:41, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Carmelo Martinez .jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Carmelo Martinez .jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Fair use rationale for Image:A Glyniadakis .jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:A Glyniadakis .jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Unspecified source for Image:Dynamo Moscow.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Dynamo Moscow.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Conscious 07:38, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Ryan Robertson
[edit]A tag has been placed on Ryan Robertson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ehheh (talk) 18:14, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Ikouvdos! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 39 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 318 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Speedy deletion nomination of Diamantis Zervos
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Diamantis Zervos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Drm310 (talk) 15:42, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Chris Burkett

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
