Hi Iiwannou, thank you very much. Your explanation should ideally be posted on the website that contains the original text, not Wikipedia, so that we can verify it by looking at the original page.
Independently of this, the sandbox page has been deleted by Fastily. The reason given was: "U5: Misuse of Wikipedia as a web host".
If you disagree with the deletion, you can contact the deleting administrator at User talk:Fastily. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:20, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Iiwannou/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.  — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  16:30, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What to do now

[edit]

Thank you for your reply. So what i have to do now in order to be able to copy text from our official website and paste it on wikipedia page? Because after i did that, my page was deleted because of violations problems Iiwannou (talk) 20:26, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Iiwannou, the copyright violation is not the problem that led to deletion. But the text is an advertisement, and Wikipedia doesn't allow advertisements. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:19, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with the copied text

[edit]

So the only way is to paraphrase the text? However, it is impossible to give details anf information about our university without write something same with the website text (e. g the schools and programmes). Is there any alternative solution? Iiwannou (talk) 21:23, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thank you for your reviews. Is it possible to give me more details about what is wrong with our draft article? Which part of the article is not written with neutral point of view? We had made a lot of efforts to remove promotional material but it is still not accepted. Iiwannou (talk) 10:41, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source/license for File:UCLan Cyprus Logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:UCLan Cyprus Logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 08:45, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thank you for accepting my article.

I would like to ask, when my article will be appeared on google search engine? Moreover, Could you please help me how to add an image copyright tag to my article? Basically i added a logo on infobox. Iiwannou (talk) 09:25, 12 February 2019 (UTC) Iiwannou (talk) 09:09, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, your article will enter into search engines once it has been through the new page patrol process or after 90 days, whichever comes first. If the image to which you are referring is being used under free use, this must be disclosed on the file page. However, if you own the copyright to this image and have donated it under the GFDL / CC BY-SA Agreement, the copyright for use on Wikimedia has already been irrevocably waived. Many thanks, SITH (talk) 22:13, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Iiwannou. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to UCLan Cyprus, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Iiwannou. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Iiwannou|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 12:14, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline. If you believe that your user page does not violate our guideline, please leave a note on this page. Alternatively, you may add {{Db-u1}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's user page guideline. Your user page isn't a place to draft an article - you should use your user sandbox instead. Now that the university article is published, you should delete the draft text in your user page. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 12:16, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the text from my user page. Iiwannou (talk) 12:29, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
