Manawatu Standard
[edit]Can you look over this and tell me what else I need to do to get this (User:Beligaronia/Manawatu Standard/) article up to standard. This was requested by Project New Zealand.Beligaronia (talk) 07:39, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thankyou. Have now added it to mainspace. Looked at ODT for precedent and decided to italicise.Beligaronia (talk) 08:19, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Rollback
[edit]After seeing your silent plea on your editor review, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can only be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you do not want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions. Happy editing, Malinaccier (talk) 23:12, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
P.S. I'll be reviewing you when I have some more time :). Malinaccier (talk) 23:12, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Driver Licencing (Plus Ego Inflation)
[edit]O Great Wikipedian, Master of the Rollback and Scourge of Vandals could you please condescend to take a look at Driver licensing in New Zealand. Especially the last heading "Other Uses" it doesn't fit.

Red links
[edit]In a list of places (in this case suburbs that get the taieri leader) Do we a)Link everything including red links b)Link Everything excluding Red links c)Link nothing You can find the page in question at User:Beligaronia/Southland Times/ (It is nearly "done" so feel free to attack it with all your wiki knowledge. I will add references tomorrow). Thank you for helping a Wikiduck :)
Beligaronia (talk) 09:33, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hi I believe User:Beligaronia/Southland Times/ is ready for namespace, in no small part due to your efforts. If you could give it a once over I would be very much obliged. If you find anything major (beyond spelling etc.) could you tell me and I will use it as a learning excercise rather than you doing it for me.
NB. I know about the note at the bottom of the page and I will change it when I namespace it but only then.Beligaronia (talk) 06:52, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- The only citation in the History section is for the whole section. How is this supposed to be indicated? Is that page (Naming Conventions) just meant to help me figure out how to title links? If so thankyou. If not what did I do wrong?Beligaronia (talk) 07:09, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- So in Summary it is go for launch?Beligaronia (talk) 07:34, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Re:Rollback
[edit]As User:Xenocidic said on my talk page, there wouldn't be a problem with you using rollback in that case. In most situations, however, you shouldn't rollback a user's edits to their own talk page--but these were extremely vandalistic in nature, so you would've been fine using it. You may also want to request page protection at WP:RFPP to stop him. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 16:36, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
What do you think you are doing?
[edit]Do not become involved in something you do not understand. I had every right blanking the category [[Category:Marsupial Lions]] as it is a hypocritical category and according to "everyone" goes againt captilization. Seriously don't be a nuisance. Cazique (talk) 07:10, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry to snap like that and call you a nuisance but I have been having to defend myself to everyone and I am currently on the defensive. If I have some time to I will do as you say and look at your contributions and go to your editor review. Again I apologise. All the best, Cazique (talk) 07:56, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Rollback (again)
[edit]Remember that Rollback can only be used for pure vandalism only. You used rollback to undo some anon's good faith (but wrong) edits to the article (Banishing charm→Depulso stuff again). Just remember vandalism only :). Malinaccier (talk) 19:37, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Stub
[edit]I don't think I can do any more for the daily chronicle. If you could read it for old times sake. Do you think anyone would mind if I made a category for New Zealand and newspaper stubs? I will try to make a Manakau article at least up to stub so the red link will be fixed.Beligaronia (talk) 04:38, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but you are wrong. Manukau is in Auckland Manakau is in the middle of the north island. I'm going to work on it next. Google the two if you don't believe me.Beligaronia (talk) 02:20, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- Should I move the daily chronicle to Daily Chronicle (Horowhenua)? You can get to the page if you search The Daily Chronicle but just Daily Chronicle takes you to a london paper.Beligaronia (talk) 09:03, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Of course, I would be glad to join the Survivor Task Force, although I'm pretty sure I don't know where to start on that particular issue. :P Anyways, I'll definitely go check it out. Thanks again! Re: Talk:Survivor: Gabon
[edit]Re your message: Infinite words of wisdom? I dunno about that. ;) Maybe "ramblings that occasionally sound vaguely reasonable". =) I left my suggestion on the Talk page. Sorry I missed it when you first posted it. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:19, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- I have some leads for you on the other sources. See [1] and [2]. What I did was a Google News search for the share and ratings like so. If Variety has a weekly recap of ratings, you might be able to pick up all of the information from there. Unfortunately, it's probably going to be a long list of individual references. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:43, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- Re your message: No problem. I hope you can locate other Variety articles that can provide the references. Perhaps Variety offers a search by author? As for using the citation templates, have you enabled the refTools gadget? Very handy. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:42, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Have you had any time to find sources for the Nielsen ratings? An anonymous IP added the rating for the latest episode well before the episode had aired across the entire United States. That makes me highly suspicious of the numbers since he couldn't have gotten the totals or the weekly rank since the week isn't over, so I removed it. It also makes me slightly suspicious of all of the other numbers. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:42, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- Re your message: No problem. I'll see if I can find a bit of time to Google Variety for verification of the numbers. The IP might see the message since she/he seems to have held that DSL IP for quite some time. Good luck on your final! =) -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:00, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- It's really ugly looking, but everything is now properly sourced! At least as of this revision, who knows what will happen after I leave you this message. I went with references per cell because I notice that anonymous IPs like to change a cell or two here seemingly randomly. I thought that including the reference might discourage that. One thing you could do is verify all of the numbers for me. With all of the numbers I looked at, things were starting to turn into a blur and I might have made a mistake. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 23:30, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
AfD: Magic in Bartimaeus Trilogy
[edit]This article is up for deletion I would appreciate your support in defending it. Thank you. See here Magic in the Bartimaeus Trilogy. If for some bizarre reason you support it I would appreciate a full explanation. The editor seems to delete a lot of stuff. Thanks.--Beligaronia (talk) 03:27, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Ah ha!
[edit]On a completely different note, I finally figured out why your talk page was missing the edit links on the sections. Way back in June, when Tiggerjay welcomed you to rollback, he used a template that had a __NOEDITSECTION__ magic word in it. Since it was transcluded, the __NOEDITSECTION__ applied to your talk page and you didn't get the edit links. I removed the magic word from his template since the edit link disappearing might be something you weren't expecting. If you want the edit links gone, you can re-add the magic word back onto the top of your talk page. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:56, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- Wow, awesome! I had seen it before and forgotten about it (no edit sections on own talk page?) but I just noticed that again today when I went to reply to you before. I shrugged it off and replied on your talkpage instead, rather than having to pull up the whole page when I edit. Thanks! -- THE DARK LORD TROMBONATOR 05:58, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. =) I noticed it when I first replied to you, but I mistakenly thought that perhaps you didn't have enough sections to have the edit section links. Today, when I saw the missing links again, I realized my previous hypothesis was very wrong, so I did some digging and figured it out. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:05, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

The article isn't suitable for an encyclopedia yet, but I'm not going to "speedily" delete the article. If someone doesn't add reliable sources pretty quickly that back up the claim that this organization is notable, then you're welcome to WP:AFD the article, or feel free to ask me to do it. - Dan Dank55 (push to talk) 03:44, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, Dan. I was dubious about tagging it, but didn't really want to leave it to fester. Turns out it was copyvio anyways. Next time I see something along these lines, an AFD will be my first port of call. Cheers for calling me up on this; I find it extremely helpful because I am fairly new to CSD technique :D -- THE DARK LORD TROMBONATOR 04:43, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Greetings, I was wondering why you tagged this article as needing deletion as pure vandalism? Skomorokh 20:37, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- Nothing on google, and the 100 year old bit struck me as something of a childish edit. If it is legit then feel free to untag. Sorry for any inconvenience. -- THE DARK LORD TROMBONATOR 20:57, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- No inconvenience, I just think you might have been a little trigger-happy. I imagine being over 100 years old is a big deal in Somaliland, and the kind of thing a younger editor might add to indicate the importance of the subject; it doesn't quite amount to "blatant and obvious misinformation". Malvern College
[edit]Hi Idiosyncritic/Archive 2! The Old Malvernians/alumnae section that you contributed to in Malvern College finally got so long that it had to be split off into a separate list page. In doing so, it's been found that for many of those noble people there is no actual proof that they ever went to the school. However, they probably did, and the entries were made in good faith. Nevertheless, the rules require everything in the encyclopedia to be verifiably sourced. It would be great therefore, if you could take a look at the list and help out if you can with providing some references. The people all have their own Wiki articles, but it is no guarantee that the mentions of Malvern College (if any) are correctly cited. Thanks. --Kudpung (talk) 17:05, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Magic in Harry Potter
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Magic in Harry Potter. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Magic in Harry Potter. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:04, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:02, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

September 2013
[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to David Cunliffe (politician) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Pikachu's Global Adventure: The Rise and Fall of Pokémon
[edit]I'm given to understand that you have access to the book Pikachu's Global Adventure: The Rise and Fall of Pokémon. Could you verify that this edit is correct? (Yes I know it is weird that I'm contacting you like this.) --SnorlaxMonster 19:51, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Ha, typical; the two pages cited in the article aren't on the Google Books preview. I don't have a copy on hand, but I can look into this on Monday when I go into uni (the copy I had belonged to the library). (I don't think it's that weird that you're contacting me this way... of the many options available to you, this is perhaps one of the most reliable.) —tdltrombonator 05:51, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Really? I get Page 147 in the Google Books preview, but not 160. Page 147 doesn't contain that quote though. (I guess you're right that it's the most reliable method, I just feel weird contacting someone publicly when I have private channels to do so.) --SnorlaxMonster 02:26, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, I definitely don't have page 147 on the preview. That's... really interesting. —tdltrombonator 10:11, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- It's been a while since I asked; did you ever get a chance to check that book? --SnorlaxMonster 12:15, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, apologies for the delay. I can confirm that this quote is on page 160; the quotation from page 147 appears to be the description of Missingno. as a "cheat". —tdltrombonator 06:07, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

Edit-a-thon in Wellington, May 29
[edit]Hi there. I'm organising an edit-a-thon at Te Papa on Sunday May 29th, focussed on adding NZ flora and fauna species to Wikipedia. It would be good to have some more experienced editors along to help any complete beginners, and I wonder if you might be interested in attending. If so, feel free to add yourself to the Wikipedia:Meetup/Wellington/2016_Edit-a-thon. It would be great to have a good turnout and show Te Papa there's an active local editing community.
