Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Talk:2022 St Albans City and District Council election, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 10:57, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced results to this article. The links in the results table in your version, i.e. this and this do not work; they just go to the home page.

Your claim that the results I was reinstating are based on "broken links" is clearly untrue, as anyone can click on them (Senate / Chamber and see that the links do work.

Unless you can provide some links with the full set of results in, then you should not edit the article again. In the meantime I will be asking for it to be protected so you cannot edit it. Number 57 21:45, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Icc27! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of 2022 Colombian parliamentary election several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:2022 Colombian parliamentary election, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:05, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (2022 Colombian parliamentary election) for a period of 2 weeks for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:06, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to 2022 Colombian parliamentary election while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:10, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2022 Cardiff Council elections

[edit]

I've reverted some of your recent edits (as has another editor) to 2022 Cardiff Council election. The percentages seem to bear relation to those reported in secondary sources (e.g. Cardiff Council website) and the general Wales Election Report you widely cited, does not seem to include any ward results or percentages. Can I suggest you discuss this at the Talk page before making wholesale changes to the article, or reverting for a third time. Sionk (talk) 18:37, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's somewhat rich, reverting to your favoured version for a fourth time, telling us to "please use the Talk page", when that is exactly what you have refused to do yourself. Sionk (talk) 22:24, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please, at the very least, explain somewhere in the article how these percentages are arrived at, because it is still not transparent to the casual reader (or sourced) at the moment. Sionk (talk) 22:48, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Warring warning

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. LawNerd123 (talk) 23:27, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Typos

[edit]

You might like to revisit your comment of 9:10am at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject UK Parliament constituencies - I think you mean "notionals" and "not" for "nationals" and "no", but hesitate to tweak another editor's posts! What a silly waste of time this is becoming, with one determined editor versus the rest of the world! PamD 20:46, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agree, such a waste of time having to argue with someone with such an obsession against something so normal. Icc27 (talk) 22:05, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notional results edit warring

[edit]

Per Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Persistent vandalism of UK constituency pages by user LawNerd123 and because this affects hundreds of pages I am placing increased restrictions in this area. Refrain from edit warring on this subject and in particular stop blind reverts, mass reverts (no more than three reverts on the question of notional results in 24 hours, even if they are on separate pages) and labelling other good faith contributions "vandalism".
