We need to compromise on Beagle

[edit]

I have been making a change in the Beagle article in good faith and some people seem to want to start a revert war with me. The image in question shows a beagle smiling, while using the caption to describe it's sense of smell. This is a terrible image to use, as it does not illustrate the beagle's sense of smell at all. It only shows it's wonderful ability to smile, and possibly it's ability at sticking it's tounge out. We need to find a compromise where this image is remove, or the caption changed. Otherwise, I will continue to edit this page until a solution can be reached.

How about removing the image until a suitable one showing a beagle tracking or as a drug sniffing dog can be found? The only other possible solution is to change the caption. Please respond quickly. Very quickly. 83.31.186.247 00:03, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the caption is perhaps not the most appropriate and relevant to the image; however, I don't think that repeatedly altering it without discussing your reasoning for the change on the talk page is really necessary. I would suggest reviewing Wikipedia:Captions, and then if you still feel that this supposed issue is significant enough, bringing it up on the talk page. --IapetusTALK|C|@ 00:09, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism?

[edit]

2 times last night I was accused of vandalism, the first time, was by you, the second, was by an admin, who I have found out made a mistake. I did not commit any vandalism, apparently, you accused the wrong IP adress, I was wondering if you could clarify what the vandalism was? Just to make sure. Thanks. -68.202.128.153 23:23, 11 October 2006 (UTC) =)[reply]

1. I don't see how this is vandalism, in fact, a portion of my edit is still there today, surely, if it were vandalism, someone perhaps, might have deleted it?

2. I was wondering if you could delete the vandalism warning, I feel like it's a mark on my reccord. *shudder* I don't want to get banned. By the way, thank you for your help in this issue. 68.202.128.153 00:52, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
