URGENT CHANGE REQUEST TO DANITY KANE PAGE / FACTUAL ERROR!

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to do this but can you please correct a factual error on the DANITY KANE Wikipedia page?

The error is in the Current Activities section.

The statement in error is, "Under Russell Simmons Plastic Cash International, Danity Kane's image will be featured on Visa debit cards."

The fact is that Russel Simmons does NOT own Plastic Cash International and he is not affiliated with it in any way.

The Visa product featuring Danity Kane is called the MYPLASH Visa Prepaid Card, and it is owned and marketed by Plastic Cash International, LLC. Neither the MYPLASH Visa Prepaid Card, nor Plastic Cash International, LLC are affiliated and/or owned by Russel Simmons.

If somebody could correct this error asap it would be much appreciated.

Danity Kane/ blacklist

No. I just removed the information you sourced to a blacklisted site. We have blacklists for a reason, and, unless you get that site whitelisted for that article, you can't reference it. I just watch over the page for vandalism and fake record chart information. I've never heard the group's music, and, from the description, I doubt that I will ever hear it except by accident.—Kww(talk) 02:25, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

I edit thousands of pages for groups that I've never heard, and will continue to do so. A phony chart is a phony chart, a bad reference is a bad reference, and a blacklisted URL is a blacklisted URL ... doesn't matter if it's for an article on Danity Kane or on Led Zeppelin.—Kww(talk) 02:38, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Plus, the part where you moved O'Day's February 2009 interview discussing her dismissal from the group ahead of Richard's January 2009 confirmation of the group having split up does not flow right. Hey, the reason Shannon's full name (Shannon Bex, instead of just Bex) is mentioned and linked in the End of group section is because though her name is mentioned and linked higher within the article, it is much higher (all the way back in the Making the Band 3 section). Generally, for cases like that, we should mention and link the person's name again when that person is only mentioned once within the body of the article and are not mentioned again within that body until much further down. The reason being...readers not familiar with the group (as in casual readers) are likely not to remember who that person is or might have skipped the one section where that person is mentioned (excluding the lead, whether that person is noted in the lead or not). Linking tour dates

Current consensus is not to wikilink dates generally, although the Arbitration Committee is currently considering the point, and has issued an interim injunction prohibiting "mass or automated" linking or unlinking of dates.
