If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on MVP Software requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. I explained why I made the MVP Software article on its talk page, we'll see what happens (I don't care much either way) --I10neorg (talk) 13:36, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am not invested in the article, nor familiar with Wikipedia's rules, but I'll explain what led me to create the MVP Software article.

  1. I uploaded an old computer game created by MVP Software at the Internet Archive and thought there should be a link to MVP Software at Wikipedia since there are at least 52 other software entries at the Internet Archive created by MVP Software
  2. I found that Wikipedia already had (red) links to MVP Software and mentions of MVP Software in existing Wikipedia articles
  3. I linked to the MVP Software website and information about the company from IGN, a major publisher
  4. It seems like MVP Software had a real impact on early computer games and is a great story of indipendent software production from that time

  • Instead of writing all the above your time would have been much better spent converting your two sentence stub into a proper article. Text emailed. What does "not invested in the article" mean? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:23, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"Not invested in the article", means it's not important to me that the article exists, so I probably won't take the time to learn how to make it "into a proper article" (right now).
The the MVP Software article deleted 2015-03-10 follows.
