FYI, when adding a link to another Wikipedia article, make sure it links to the right location instead of a disambiguation page.--I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 19:43, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot! Iñazio Irizar (talk) 21:18, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot to you, I dream of horses, for your welcome and the links. Usually I translate articles from English to Basque. This of Arizmendiarrieta is the first I'm translating from Basque to English. Probably I'll do the same with his collaborators.
Have a good day, and best regards, Iñazio 10:16, 3 July 2022 Iñazio Irizar (talk) 08:20, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at University of Oñati, you may be blocked from editing. DeCausa (talk) 21:23, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mr. De Causa,
I don't undertand really what you say.
I'm editing in my basque language for nine years already, hundreds of articles, and regading this of the University of Oñati (my town), I spent in the spring 3 months reading all the available bibliography.
After a few other articles, this week I decided to traslate my basque language version of the University of Oñati to english.
Nothing to do with my personal analysis, or synthesis.
And obviously, I don't violate any Wikipedia original research policy.
Please, let my work go on.
Best regards, Iñazio Irizar Iñazio Irizar (talk) 22:09, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please read WP:V and WP:RS. Here in English Wikipedia you should only add text which is cited to a reliable source. If you add text without citations it will be removed as original research. English-language sources are preferred by the way. DeCausa (talk) 22:18, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning Mr. De Causa,
I'm sure I know very well English Wikipedia. I'm not a junior editor, as you may see in my personal page. When I retired at Mondragon University, I was a Business Professor, having directed many PhD theses in Basque, Spanish and English. And this article about the University of Oñati is not my first one en English Wikipedia.
On the other hand, in order to structure the article about the University of Oñati (Which I finished on May 12, 2024, with 138 references and 136.593 byte), I took three references from leading universities that I know personally:
1- MIT: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massachusetts_Institute_of_Technology. It has 424 references
2- Harvard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvard_University. It has 150 references
3- Oxford: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Oxford. It has 313 references.
Also, I have traslated from English Wikipedia to Basque Wikipedia hundreds of articles. The last one is about the 40th president of Uruguay, José Mujica, which I finished on July 28, 2024, with 62 references and 57.165 byte. Other articles I have translated from English Wikipedia include Albert Einstein, Noam Chomsky, Marie Curie, Martin Luter King, Andy Warhol, Sigmund Freud, Mahatma Ghandhi... And I always include the references that the English Wikipedia version brings, regardless of the language of the reference.
Therefore, I will be very grateful if you respect my work.
Thanks in advance, best regards, Iñazio Irizar Iñazio Irizar (talk) 08:18, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see the relavance of any of that. You added this, without citation, to the article so I reverted you. Despite that you did it again here which is why I gave you the above warning as well as reverting you. If you are going to add text to English Wikipedia you need to cite secondary reliable sources, preferably English-language ones. DeCausa (talk) 09:45, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,
I am translating the F. Scott Fitzgerald's article on the English Wikipedia for the Basque Wikipedia. Have you read the first part of the article on the English Wikipedia, and its citations and secondary reliable sources? Iñazio Irizar (talk) 12:46, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi DeCausa,
Have you read it? And? Iñazio Irizar (talk) 16:15, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
