Actually, it isn't part of NKR - only the eastern half is. --Golbez 02:59, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The eastern part of Kelbajar is part of officially-proclamed NKR, AND the western half is currently under the control of the Armenian military and has been de-facto designated as the Karvajar region of the NKR, although not officially proclaimed as part of NKR... So de-facto wise, it is in NKR!!! HyeProfile (T·C) 20:37, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just to correct an incorrect statement I made above in 2006, the western half of Kalbajar District which was under the control of the Armenian military was actually officially redesignated as the Shahumyan Province, not the Karvajar region... Alright, now for the record CuriousGolden and Solavirum are reverting the well sourced/cited additions I've recently made on Kalbajar District demographics based on Republic of Artsakh census data. Posting on here to encourage constructive discussions and try to reach a consensus, since I have quite a bit of history editing this particular article **wink wink** HyeProfile (T·C) 20:05, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. — CuriousGolden (T·C) 07:53, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CuriousGolden, a cursory glance at my talk page shows I'm well familiar with the wikirules. First of all, your warning is not justified since I haven't been disruptive at all recently, and I've even respected all of the specific sanctions in place in a more broad sense with respect to any Armenia-Azerbaijan articles. You fail to provide examples of how I've been disruptive, so posting this notice escalates the tension and I perceive it as bad faith on your part (or at the very least, bullying). When my edits are reverted, I always engage in discussions on the Talk pages to justify my edits and try to reach WP:CONSENSUS, so please show me examples where I've failed to do so. If you can't find even one example, I will delete this notice from my Talk page. Also, if you're referring to my recent well-cited edits on Kalbajar which are based on WP:RS and where I've justified everything on the talk page, I would even contend your reverts are the ones that are unjustified and unexplained on the talk page, and are therefore the ones that are WP:DISRUPTIVE, not mine. Also if you confirm that's the case I will move your notice/comments under the Kalbajar section at the top of my Talk page, since I clearly have in-depth knowledge of the consensus on that specific article since I've been editing that article since 2006 yet you've come in only recently and pretend you have a new consensus which I was never in agreement with (and which others say they don't agree with). HyeProfile (T·C) 14:31, 2 February 2021

I only remember semi-protecting it, which I wrote here. I see that I protected it three times, so something must have gone wrong. I have changed its protection, now, and make a note to myself to double-check my protections. Good luck editing.--Berig (talk) 16:39, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I appreciate you taking the time to look at it. HyeProfile (T·C) 12:52, 4 February 2021

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Air Armenia.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Air Armenia.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:37, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, HyeProfile. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Armenian International Airways.gif) was found at the following location: User:HyeProfile. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 04:22, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:Armenian Airlines.gif

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Armenian Airlines.gif. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:06, 8 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Replaceable fair use File:Challenger-650-Flightdeck2700x900 final.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Challenger-650-Flightdeck2700x900 final.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 16:23, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed...HyeProfile (T·C) 00:11, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Challenger-650-Flightdeck2700x900 final.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 00:01, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Challenger-650-Flightdeck2700x900 final.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Challenger-650-Flightdeck2700x900 final.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:51, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom, Notices, & Blocks

[edit]

Due to your sudden re-appearance and aggressive editing of Armenia-Azerbaijan related pages (especially Nagorno-Karabakh) and ongoing ArbCom [2], your name has been added per administrators determination: "Anyone aggressively editing these articles should assume they are a party. Add their names and give them notice. No motion is necessary. Fred Bauder 13:48, 15 March 2007 (UTC)" [3] You are now a party and subject to all the applicable rules and regulations and injunctions. --adil 00:22, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have opposed this nomination, with due argument, and the Arbitrators have removed my name from the list...HyeProfile (T·C) 13:43, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to be revert warring here and here. Per your arbcom restrictions, you are limited to 1 content revert per day [4]. So... please don't revert war, you already could have been blocked. --W.marsh 23:33, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a party to this case and therefore am not restricted by the imposed injunction, but I have abided by it as much as practicable as show of good faith (except obvious vandalism cases)... Apart from that, I respect Wikipedia's 3RR thoroughly...HyeProfile (T·C) 13:42, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have blocked you for making two reverts in quick succession on Nagorno-Karabakh when you are fully aware that all partisan reverting on these articles is to be kept at a minimum. Furthermore, you called one of the things you removed "obvious vandalism". Do not falsely label edits as vandalism. I was asked to unprotect the article in exchange for blocking people disrupting it; so be it. --Golbez 14:22, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Golbez, the second edit was simply wikifing the census table and is clearly not a revert... The first one WAS a revert, and the revert was to a version which was agreed by everyone, including yourself, and therefore it IS considered "protecting the article from constant vandalism" for which you are the primary perpetrator... So I havn't even made a single revert...
I am forced to bring this matter up with relevant authorities... You completely lack integrity and cannot be allowed to be an admin on WP...HyeProfile (T·C) 14:33, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I look forward to it. --Golbez 14:53, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

blocked by admin in CoI position who constantly reverts and refuses to accept consensus version of article [2]. just wants to get rid of users who don't share his POV. invalid block, not even discussed on WP:ANI

Decline reason:

You are under revert parole, no matter what others might have done. Blocks do not need to be discussed on ANI. — Sandstein 21:52, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I correct myself: You may not be formally bound by the arbitral injunction, but your block was warranted for your needlessly aggressive editing and edit summary. I agree, though, that Golbez should not have been the admin to block you, given his apparent involvement in this content dispute. This is not an obvious case, so you may issue another unblock request in order to have another admin evaluate it. Sandstein 21:57, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sandstein, I appreciate your correction. However, you state that my "block was warranted for your needlessly aggressive editing and edit summary". Although I want to clearly state that I did not make those edit because they were POV-pushing ones, I made them because they went against a consensus which I myself had participated on building. I do realize how you can interpret my edits as "needlessly aggressive", especially as an outsider not familiar with the "heated" debates on Armenian-Azeri articles, but in that case that same interpretation must be applied to the ensuing reverts which Golbez made, regardless of his statute as an admin. In fact, if mine are "aggressive", then his are definitely more aggressive because at least the version I was reverting back to was the consensus version [5] [6], and I also explained myself [7] and justified my actions [8] on the talk pages, while he never even attempted to justify his changes (the seriousness of which is further compounded by the fact that he is an admin)... As for the edit summary, I would like to quote from Wikipedia's "What is not considered vandalism" policy page in an attempt to present a justifiable context for my behavior:
NPOV violations
The neutral point of view is a difficult policy for many of us to understand, and even Wikipedia veterans occasionally accidentally introduce material which is non-ideal from an NPOV perspective. Indeed, we are all affected by our beliefs to a greater or lesser extent. Though inappropriate, this is not vandalism in itself unless persisted in after being warned.
My interpretation of this was that if a group of people make REPEATED POV-pushing changes to a consensus version of an article, and those people are warned in the talk pages and are simply refusing to justify themselves or at least address other editors' concerns, then they are committing vandalism, as defined above. I did not intend to be any least bit aggressive here, I just wanted to avoid starting another debate over the intro (which already took months to agree on, as shown on the Talk:Nagorno-Karabakh#How_long... page) or risking to escalate conflicts surrounding the ongoing Armenian-Azeri arbitration.HyeProfile (T·C) 20:02, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
