[edit]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Husein Alicajic. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. I've removed the subjective material from the article, and since in an autobiography having a link to your own website is promotional, I've removed that. —Largo Plazo (talk) 13:59, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

yeah hi -- unbeknownst to me someone DID create a page detailing my biography etc, but the page was deleted because of copyright infringement i.e the copy was taken from my website. i attempted to communicate this and grant usage/donate the copyright, so that the page would be reinstated, but i had no reply. i communicated ths to the user who made the initial deletion as well as the relevant email add for wikipedia re copyright donation, but herd nothing back rom either.

is there a way for this to happen? faced with no feedback i re-created th page mystelf.

please advise

cheers

H

Sorry, but beyond Wikipedia:Permission I don't have any information to give you. If whoever you originally were communicating with stopped communicating, you can check his user contributions link (under "toolbox" on the left side of his user or user talk page) to see if he's been active at all, and you can try contacting someone else qualified to address the matter instead.
Even so, I imagine that whatever's on your home page is written in a promotional manner. If an article is written in a promotional manner, it will either be deleted or heavily edited. —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:28, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Husein Alicajic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:42, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Husali! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Husein Alicajic - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

AfD nomination of Husein Alicajic

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Husein Alicajic. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Husein Alicajic. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:12, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
