Speedy deletion nomination of Shutterman
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Shutterman, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

The reason i posted the article is because there is little to no reference to shutter man on internet, .it originated in a local newspaper some years back in scotland and now that I have one of his artworks I wanted to post his story in order to find other people ho knew or heard of him, this is a chicken and egg situation, how can i get credible sources when the whole reason i am on here is to provide the start of the credible sources?? Please advise
I cannot see how the search for more info via a crdible platform like wiki can cause any offence, especially when it is such a great and lovely, local story which the world should know about?? nothing defamitory, inflamatory, offensive, libel, ilegal etc. Who will this harm, whilst i try and build a reference of other people who know the story etc? HumphreyP (talk) 21:55, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Could you also at least give me the copy of my article to store in my sandbox until this is resolved, it took me ages to rite that in a good fashion and i have no copy of it no? HumphreyP (talk) 22:00, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, Humphrey. The problem you're having is that Wikipedia isn't a place to do what you're trying to do. One of the most important rules we have here is verifiability; anything that we have on Wikipedia needs to be verifiably true. We need reliable, third-party sources, as described here, to be able to write about a subject. Otherwise, and this is important to keep in mind, we have no way of knowing whether what people post on Wikipedia is true or not. If there aren't enough reliable sources to build an article, then the subject probably is just not notable enough yet to have an article on Wikipedia. I appreciate what you're trying to do, and it's not a bad thing, but Wikipedia isn't the place to go about it. No big deal; mistakes like this happen all the time, and nobody will hold it against you, but we just can't have those kinds of pages.
- As for getting a copy of your article, you can try going here; making a post there, explaining why you want a personal copy, should help. Let me know if you have nay more questions. Thanks! Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 22:13, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Thank you Writ Keeper, your explanaition was consice and more impotantly polite and respectful, I would suggest with respect, that someone advises your colleague whom deleted my post, that he would get less hassle from users if he showed the same politeness and understanding and less dictatorial high and mitey approach, which does not help anyone or indeed the image of Wiki.
Many thanks again.HumphreyP (talk) 22:24, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
