Sensibility and Doubt Clearance

[edit]

Hi. I noticed that you welcomed a user at 23:40 PKT. He made his first five edits only at Inter-Services Intelligence before 23:40 PKT from 22:43 to 23:33 PKT, which you noticed and welcomed the user. Did you? So let's talk about these edits. In the first edit, he replaced the minister and chief entries at ISI with his name and a name of his vice. That seemed to a be a good edit to you? He removed referenced info from the section "Recruitment and training" but still that seemed to be "sensible" to you. In other edits [1][2] he removed the name of a major Pakistani intelligence service, IB, but still you chose to ignore and gave him a "menu welcome" instead of reverting him and warning him for edit-tests or removal of content or vandalism? Obviously replacing the serving generals with your name constitutes vandalism. Doesn't it? You call for other editors to be sensible whereas you yourself......? Regards. Faizan (talk) 10:53, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I also got "shocked" to see this. Faizan (talk) 10:56, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) I've seen Human3015 welcome a number of new users soon after their accounts were created, obviously going by the list of new user accounts and not checking their contributions, or even what's already on their talk pages, before adding the welcome template (users such as these: [3], [4] and [5]). User accounts that had nothing to do with India-Pakistan, so don't make more of this than there is. Thomas.W talk 11:07, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I am not "making more of this". He did not welcome him "soon after his account was created" but instead after he had finished editing at ISI. He has ISI in his watchlist and regularly makes reverts there, with one in the last week. He ought to revert these ones too. Faizan (talk) 11:15, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, he should have reverted those edits if he saw them. I would have if ISI was on my watchlist, but it isn't (at 9,000+ pages, not counting talk pages, my watch list is big enough as it is) . Thomas.W talk 11:19, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Faizan, I welcome nearly every user who has red talk page, I welcome them because by clicking on links on welcome page they can learn how to edit Wikipedia sensibly, moreover, He changed name of ISI officials, I don't keep update of change in ISI officials, I thought some officials may have changed, I didn't realized its his own name as it was also having "Khan" in addition, I thought its good faith edit. I see on many city pages people change name of Mayor, I don't revert those many times as that user maybe local of that city and he knows who is Mayor. And regarding deletion of IB, there is IB in India too Intelligence Bureau (India), I thought someone inserted Indian IB and he deleted it. Because as common knowledge no one knows IB in Pakistan, everyone knows IB means Indian IB, I thought you people also have this page on watchlist and you will find out whether these changes are good or bad, I just revert those changes which I can surely say that "its wrong". --Human3015 knock knock • 11:49, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Human3015 knock knock , Please have a look to this Pakistan Air Force

Wrong Figures on PAF 1971 War Violation of Wikipedia policies @ WP:FAKE As per as the Indo-Pak War of 1971 Air War Section Neutral Claims is mentioned with Neutral Source. 54 IAF aircraft were lost (perhaps as many as 27 of them in air combat). Pakistan lost 72 aircraft (51 of them combat types, but admitting only 25 to enemy action). Of the Pakistani losses, at least 24 fell in air combat (although only 10 air combat losses were admitted, not including any F-6s, Mirage IIIs, or the six Jordanian F-104s which failed to return to their donors). But the imbalance in air losses was explained by the IAF's considerably higher sortie rate, and its emphasis on ground-attack missions. On the ground Pakistan suffered most, with 8,000 killed and 25,000 wounded while India lost 3,000 dead and 12,000 wounded. The loss of armoured vehicles was similarly imbalanced. This represented a major defeat for Pakistan. as per as Indo-Pak War of 1971 this same would be written in the Pakistan Air Force

I have even writed the same in the Talk Pakistan Air Force but no one has replied even after 2 days. Sir I will request you to correct the figures of 1971 Air War on Pakistan Air Force as per as Indo-Pak War of 1971 ,

here in Pakistan Air Force, @1971 it is only written about the PAF loses on Eastern front, while IAF loses were of the total Aircraft lost in both eastern&western fronts is mentioned. Hence i will request you to correct the figures of 1971 Air War on Pakistan Air Force as per as Indo-Pak War of 1971 MCIWS (talk) 04:27, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Buddy. Im greatly concerned about articles related to Solapur. I want to change the Solapur Junction railway station to simply Solapur railway station because its not a junction recognised officially by Indian Railways. Also can you help me how to wikify Solapur District ?. And same about the good article status of Solapur. Can a featured article about Solapuri Chadars be made or its just mentioning is enough. Im asking this because Solapuri Chadars have got Geographical Indication Tag. Furthermore Can Solapur have a culture section with proper citations? Since its in proximity to Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh , its often said to be the Sangama of Marathi-Kannada-Telugu culture. Im waiting for your detailed reply Dongar Kathorekar (talk) 05:56, 6 July 2015 (UTC) Dongar Kathorekar (talk) 05:56, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dongar Kathorekar, I have searched it, name of Solapur railway station is "Solapur Junction" not just "Solapur". And I don't know whether featured article on "Solapuri Chadars" can be made but at least we can make article on it, Times of India called Solapuri Chadars as "Famous", though its just mention. We need some more sources for Solapuri Chadar, I think official website of Solapur or cultural website of Maharashtra government must having Solapuri Chadar's mention. Moreover, you can create and improve "Culture" section in Solapur with proper citations, no issue about that. --Human3015 knock knock • 09:54, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yeoman editor

Yeoman editor [6] requires "4,000 edits and 1 year of service." I think we have been through this before! -- Kautilya3 (talk) 08:29, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kautilya3, though I don't have 1 year of service still I have 5000+ edits. You are objecting on my Yeoman badge but when I was completed 2000 edits that time I inserted Jouneyman badge [7] on 20th May, that time you didn't objected though additionally it requires 6 months of service and that time I was done with only 4 months.{actually today I completed 6 months on Wikipedia, and according to your logic today I'm eligible as Journeyman, but since last 2 months you didn't realize it.) When you done edit war on my user page over this issue last time [8], [9], I asked question on Teahouse, I got reply from other editors that it is not so serious issue, one can do anything in its own user space, many people projected those badges on the basis of number of edits only and not on the basis of years. --Human3015 knock knock • 09:11, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Solapuri Chaddar

[edit]

Hi there, would you be interested in taking Solapuri Chaddar to DYK status? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 21:05, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rsrikanth05, Yes, I will like to, what I should do for that? That article is currently very stub, I created it on request of other new user. But I'm also interested in this article. --Human3015 knock knock • 21:17, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well, for starters, it would be great if someone could get a photograph of the Chaddar, unless there is one already on the Commons. For DYK, we need to make sure that the article is at a minimum of 1500 characters [not bytes], and each paragraph is sourced, within one week of the article being created. See WP:DYK for more info. I can help with this. All we need is to expand the article. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 21:21, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That user who gave me idea to create this article is apparently from Solapur, I said him on his talk page to click some photos from local shops there, hope he will do it. But till now I have found only two reliable sources, one from "Times of India" and other is "official government website of Solapur district". Thats why article is still stub. Otherwise there are numerous unreliable sources and online shopping websites. But I think that we can find some reliable sources in Marathi language. I will search for that. --Human3015 knock knock • 21:34, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Alrighty. I'll find a few English sources. A few based on the GI tag will help as well. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 21:45, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Rsrikanth05, I have found plenty reliable sources from Marathi newspapers, moreover, its unbelievable but I found image of Solapuri Chaddar on Sanskrit Wikipedia, while till now English Wikipedia article of Solapur was not even having mention of Solapuri Chaddar while article of Solapur district on Sanskrit Wikipedia has mention of this Chaddar in lead and also has image.सोलापुरमण्डलम् And I also noticed that I have been Welcomed on Sanskrit Wikipedia by Sanskrit Welcome Template. --Human3015 knock knock • 22:03, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting. However, I'd be wary of using that image for now. It is not on the commons, and licence details are missing. I'll see if I can find anything on Flickr to port to the Commons, or find someone in Solapur who can get a picture. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 22:05, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, me too tried that image but things are not working. Its not on commons. --Human3015 knock knock • 22:20, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just a piece of friendly advice

[edit]

Hello. You seem to have a genuine interest in contributing in a positive way here on Wikipedia, on a multitude of articles, but like many other newer editors you seem to get a bit carried away sometimes, getting drawn into edit wars, not only on articles relating to India but also on for example Swimming pool. Don't do that, no article is important enough to get blocked over, which is what sooner or later happens to all editors who frequently get into edit wars. So keep your head cool and save your energy for things that matter. And whether it says "artificial" or not in the lede on Swimming pool definitely does not matter. Thomas.W talk 11:29, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas.W, actually one IP is edit warring over minor issue of adding word "artificial" in lead. And you 5-6 people reverted him, IP got blocked once. I think this is not big issue as you yourself saying word "artificial" does not matters. So I just added it to lead with giving reference of Oxford Dictionary which also defines Swimming Pool as "artificial", so no big issue over it. Thanks for your advice. Cheers. --Human3015 knock knock • 11:39, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sardarji jokes article

[edit]

Hello, I clearly cited the other wiki page that explains the meaning of Sirdar/Sardar. What other reliable source you want ?unsigned comment by 209.49.242.34

209.49.242.34 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), I can understand your feelings, but Sardarji jokes are related to Sikh community and it is nothing to do with Sardar Patel or any other person using title "Sardar". You are already on 3rr and it is most likely that you will get blocked for reverting multiple users. --Human3015 knock knock • 20:37, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This has got nothing to do with my feelings. I am pointing out the factually correct historical usage and origination of the term "Sardar". The explanation of the term "Sardar" is central to an article that talks of Sardarji jokes. Is it very hard for you to grasp that ?

Who gave you the authority to make the sweeping statement that "Sardarji jokes are related to Sikh community". Do you know when the first Sardarji joke was made ? Was it made on a Sikh ?unsigned comment by 209.49.242.34

I'm not against any community, but we just write what is sourced, you provide reliable source for your views, then everyone will accept your edits. Me too don't want to defame Sikh community or any other community, there are also Pathan joke, but Wikipedia doesn't work on personal feelings, we should write whatever is sourced and relevant. --Human3015 knock knock • 20:54, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you respond to my comments, rather than your mumbo-jumbo which is making no sense.

What sources you want ? I did not add anything new or unsourced anyway.

Is the explanation of the word "Sardar", and providing a link to your own Wikipedia article on Sardar, not central to an article that deals with Sardar joke series ? What would be your IQ, I wonder ?

All I said in my edits was that Sardarji jokes refer to jokes made on Sardars (which is an infinitely more accurate description than saying that Sardarji jokes are jokes on Sikhs. Why? Because only Sikhs do not use the title Sardar. Is that very hard for you and your fellows to understand ? Who made you the editors of Wiki ? Damn, there needs to be an IQ level check before appointing folks here.)-unsigned comment by Js82

Js82, article Sardar deals with in general term sardar which denotes princes, noblemen etc, but sardarji jokes deals with ethnic jokes, you have to give source that Sardarji jokes are also made on those princes or anyone holding that title who is not Sikh. If there are no sources saying jokes are made on non-Sikh Sardars then there is no need to mention them in article Sardarji jokes --Human3015 knock knock • 21:43, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Do you understand what I am saying ? An article on "Sardarji jokes" must clarify and link to another article which explains the meaning of the term Sardar ? Understanding this is not hard.

And again, I repeat what you conveniently ignored: Who gave you the authority to make the sweeping statement that "Sardarji jokes are related to Sikh community". Do you know when the first Sardarji joke was made ? Was it made on a Sikh ?

And what are you asking the proof again. I don't have to give source or proof to make the statement that "Sardarji jokes are jokes related to Sardars". This is true by definition, unlike your fallacious argument that Sardarji jokes are jokes related to Sikhs. Think again and think hard, although it is relatively simple to grasp.--unsigned comment by Js82

Js82 There is no use of commenting on my talk page, there are also 2 other users who reverted you, moreover one admin who blocked your IP. So even if I restore your edits then still other editors will remove it, and there is possibility that admin will block me, so I will not take risk. Just fyi: that user is not at all editing in good faith and is contradicting their own lies left and right. Don't believe a word they say. Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/175.157.245.185--unsigned comment by Ogress

@Ogress: Yes I know they are abusive users, and its good thing that you reported them to admin and I hope admin will take action on them. But as long as their demand is concerned, there is no harm or nothing wrong in adding Tamil script as "native name" in infobox of that King. All matter was started because of removal of Tamil script from lead, but I just tried to resolve conflict by adding it to infobox. --Human3015 knock knock • 10:41, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's not really what I meant; I just mean "you might not know this, but this is a standing sockpuppetry case of a particularly nasty user". His first interactions with me involved nasty comments about my alleged ethnic origin and by shouting the word FAG at the beginning of every edit summary. I did not make the edit myself because he made a threat that specifically said he'd sock and harass until I did, and I do not respond to threats. Ogress smash! 10:51, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Obsession with Marathwada category

[edit]

I think you don't really understand the category flow tree. You have already created a few unnecessary categories and now you have been adding them over all the places and are disturbing the flow of the tree. For example, you added the Category:Visitor attractions in Marathwada to Hazur Sahib Nanded. You also added the Category:Marathwada to the Category:Visitor attractions in Nanded district. And then you also added "Marathwada" category on Category:Nanded district. And then you went on to add your fav category on Category:Aurangabad division. So eventually the your fav category is now populated with all sub-pages and sub-categories. That’s not the way categories are supposed to work. Until you understand this basic fundamental of categorization, you should try and keep yourself away from anything that has to do with categories. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 11:12, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Dharmadhyaksha: I think you have nominated 2-3 categories of them for deletion and they are under discussion so there is no need to tell me same things again on my talk page. Those categories will get deleted and then bot will come and will remove those dead categories from article, you have no need to remove them or worry about it. Moreover, your own 18 categories have been nominated for deletion, better you keep away yourself from this category issue and learn basic fundamentals of categorization. Thank you.--Human3015 knock knock • 11:23, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As discussed on talk, source mentions both Asian or Indian. So either both terms can be mentioned or remove both. Asian would be better since it includes Indian too. Mar4d (talk) 12:18, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Better we should discuss it on article's talk page, Asian also includes, Japan, Viatnam, Indonesia, Taiwan etc, which doesn't have any relation to Balti wine, so "Indian" will be more near term. --Human3015 knock knock • 12:21, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In UK, Asian means South Asian. See British Asian. Mar4d (talk) 12:25, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I made one change, wrote "spicy south asian food", but as source clearly mentions "Indian restaurents" multiple times , we should keep it. --Human3015 knock knock • 12:28, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That is better. Mar4d (talk) 12:31, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not exactly. A storm of socks of a single individual are targeting me, with the occasional IP thrown in. No big deal, keeps 'em off the streets. Bishonen | talk 22:34, 23 July 2015 (UTC).[reply]

Thanks.

I respect Faizan, but I've noticed that, as a pakistani, he sometimes has trouble keeping a neutral POV in India-Pakistan articles.65.209.62.115 (talk) 03:53, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Faizan is among most sensible editors working on WikiProject Pakistan, but it is open truth that everyone loves their own country and sometimes it reflects in editing. --Human  04:12, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Parbhani, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ajanta. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Devagiri as a good article

[edit]

Devagiri needs to be addressed as a good article? Dongar Kathorekar (talk) 11:54, 24 July 2015 (UTC) Dongar Kathorekar (talk) 11:54, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There are many articles from WikiProject Maharashtra that can become good articles, but first we should try to make article Maharashtra as good article. But Devagiri indeed an important article, currently I'm working on Tourism in Marathwada so I will look for this article too as it comes under Marathwada. --Human  12:02, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ellalan (monarch)

[edit]

Let's not RfC quite yet - because how do we ask for comment? We don't even know why Blackknight12 moved the page. He hasn't said. There has been zero discussion. Until we get information, we can't even formulate a request for comment. We don't know what to ask! "Should we move the page?" "Um, well, what's the reason?" "I have no idea." Sounds awkward to me. ;-) Ogress smash! 10:06, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Ogress: I think that Blackknight12 has provided enough sources to take that move seriously, though I'm in favour of current Tamil title still we should go for move discussion. Actually I'm already preparing matter for RfC/Move discussion. --Human3015 (talk) 10:21, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I posted a new section titled "Elara" where you can see the controversial move form, stick it there and if Blackknight12 wants to formally file a Controversial Page Move it'll flag a bunch of pages and he can say all he wants in it. Ogress smash! 10:32, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think RfC is needed, we need comments from other non-involved users, because it seems neither you will change your stand nor Blackknight12 will change his stand in any case. --Human3015 (talk) 10:39, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

reverted edits

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed that you have reverted and edit by user:Mohammad Abulhassan on Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. While this user has not provided an edit summary, I feel that his edit was justified. ISIL does not have a foothold in Lebanon and doesn't control any part of the country since both the Lebanese army and the shiite militia are attacking its positions in the anti-lebanon mountains (Qalamoun area) that are part of Syria. The last ISIL et al foothold in the Anti-Lebanon, the town of Zabadani in Syria is besieged and the Assaad troups are securing the mountain range. So sadly the area is being disputed by two kinds of tyrants but as I said ISIL doens't have a foothold in Lebanon. Please come back to me to decide on a course of action as I am afraid that any edit from my part will be interpreted as an act of blind patriotism. -Elias Z 04:43, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Elie plus: It was just routine revert, any unexplained removal of text by new user from the article which gets 15,000-20,000 daily views will surely get reverted. If you want to do any edits on that article then go ahead, give proper edit summary or a message at talk of the article with source. I don't have any content dispute regarding that article. I just revert vandalism, blanking, apparent POV pushing from that article. Nothing else. --Human3015 (talk) 06:21, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Understood, I always try to stay clear of controversial articles. Thank you for your swift reply and have a wonderful start of the week. -Elias Z 07:08, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dadu or Dadoji ?

[edit]

I understand you changed the name of the article from Dadoji Kondeo to Daduji. A quick search shows that historically this person has always been known as Dadoji. I do not think the Ji is an honorific in this instance. People from that era were named with Ji being integral to the name, for example, Shahaji Bhonsle, Shivaji Bhonsle, Tanaji Malusare ,Netaji Palkar etc. I would request that you reconsider the renaming.
