[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Martin Van Buren does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Hello- You might want to discontinue experimenting with long-established infobox formatting without discussing your ideas first with other users. Here, for example: Template talk:Infobox officeholder Eric talk 18:33, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
Hi. No doubt you've seen my reverts. This is an obscure little guideline that I wasn't aware of until about my 4th year, but accessibility is important. Now that you're aware of the guideline, I hope you'll be part of the solution rather than the problem, and linking to the guideline in your edit summaries to help spread the word. This stuff is two steps forward and one step back—at best. ―Mandruss ☎ 19:12, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
You have added {{small}}
in another infobox.[1] Please stop. You have also capitalized "president" and "vice president" inappropriately per MOS:JOBTITLES.[2] Such things are not capitalized when preceded by a modifier. At JOBTITLES, the closest example to those cases is "Nixon was the 37th president of the United States." "37th" and "tenth" are equivalent for purposes of the guideline. ―Mandruss ☎ 20:00, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Gangster8192. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. Gangster8192 ☎ 20:50, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
Unfair IP block
[edit]Hsidun (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
My IP address has been blocked temporarily because I used my laptop and logged into an account (User:Hsidun6404) that has been blocked. I have stopped using that account since the block and I have made no mistakes and broken no rules worthy of my current account (User:Hsidun being blocked. I recognize that I created patent nonsense on Wikipedia under my previous account, and I do apologize for my actions on my previous account, and I believe I have redeemed myself on Wikipedia by breaking no rules on my current account. Please unblock me. Hsidun (talk) 03:19, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
So rather than appealing the block on your original account, you thought you'd just wiggle around it? Yeah, we don't allow that. Now blocked directly. Yunshui 雲水 06:43, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I was unaware of this policy, and I do apologize. I don't think it is fair that I am now being blocked for doing something I didn't know was against Wikipedia's rules, and as you can see, I have not broken any rules on this account with the exception of the one you mentioned. I see no reason why I should be banned; I know I have made mistakes in the past but I believe I have redeemed myself on Wikipedia, and I humbly ask once more that you lift my ban to let me prove myself on here again.
