Do not create hoaxes

[edit]

Do not create, add, or restore hoaxes to Wikipedia, such as you did with the article User:Hridindu/Hridindu (Urban Legend). Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you.

The above is a standard message for articles but hoaxes don't belong anywhere in Wikipedia. I have deleted your hoax per Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#G3. See also Wikipedia:User pages#What may I not have in my user pages? PrimeHunter (talk) 01:27, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have also deleted Hridindu (Urban Legend). You were told not to create hoaxes at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page/questions#Independent Sociological Study. Do not create hoaxes and do not enlist other people to help you vandalize Wikipedia. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:38, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We have no interest in encouraging vandalism

[edit]

Youth of today, as in times past, have plenty of outlets for creativity without encouraging vandalism; and from our point of view, your "experiment" was an experiment in vandalism. It has no place here.

We do encourage you to edit Wikipedia in useful and constructive ways; but not to create hoaxes and bogus "legends". If you want to do that kind of viral stuff, do it on pages of your own, not in an encyclopedia. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:44, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
