[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for reverting your recent experiment. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. In the future, please do not experiment on article pages; instead, use the sandbox. Thank you. -- MightyWarrior (talk) 10:42, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello and welcome!
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I'd noticed hat you'd created a new article called Tom and Jerry: War of the Whiskers (page) and thought I'd drop by to let you know a few things.
Firstly, Wikipedia has a few policies about articles that you may want to read. There is a particlular need to make the article verifiable using reliable sources. It's also important to use sources to show that what you're writing about is notable enough for inclusion. A guide to writing your first article can be found here. I know it's a lot to take in at first, so feel free to ask questions if you have any.
Secondly, WikiProject Video games is dedicated to creating and improving all articles related to video games. Feel free to take a look at the project page, discuss topics with other project members and ask for help and advice.
Hope all this is of help to you. Happy editing! Gazimoff WriteRead 08:40, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Your Article List
[edit]Please note that I've moved your list from Howdoyoudo08's page list to User:Howdoyoudo08/Howdoyoudo08's page list, as although this article doesn't conform to Wikipedia guidelines, I suspect that you want it for your own personal use. It shouldn't be deleted (it was up for speedy deletion) at this new address. Any questions just leave me a message on my talk page. Booglamay (talk) 20:16, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Mr Men
[edit]Hi. Just looking at the various new articles and edits you are making regarding Mr. Men characters. Do you have sources to verify the information added? FlowerpotmaN·(t) 00:49, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Honestly, can you provide any evidence whatsoever for the existence of Mr. Grow, Little Miss Leggy or for any of the edits to the various Mr.Men edits you made. I can take the articles to articles for deletion if you prefer, but unless you can actually provide proof, and I think you might find that a bit difficult, the articles do seem to be hoaxes. Template: Spoiler
[edit]No. I did not create this template. Libro0 (talk) 18:34, 17 May 2008 (UTC) Hi. Just following up. The spoiler template has been deleted. I believe it looked like this {{spoiler}}
. There still is a Wikipedia:Spoiler tag however. It looks like it was created by User:WojPob but it has undergone thousands of edits. I remember discussing spoilers but I don't remember where. I mentioned that since the Mr.Men stories were so short, it would be better to have a 'teaser' insted of a spoiler or full story section. I made the Little Miss Stella page which has a good example of a teaser with out revealing the whole story. Libro0 (talk) 18:55, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Your Thomas the Tank Engine page
[edit]Just noticed you had added User:Howdoyoudo08/Thomas The Tank Engine to List of Railway Series Books. Several points to note:
- It is not normal to link from articles ("article space") to user pages ("user space")
- Your TtTE page looks like 'Fan Fiction' to me, and therefore has no place in an encyclopedia
- Fan Fiction added to article pages will not be tolerated (expect any additions to be deleted promptly)
If you really want a wiki that supports 'Thomas' fan fiction, try Train Spotting World.
If you have questions, drop me a line on my talk page.

Links and other suggestions
[edit]I noticed you adding a few links to the The Mr. Men Show article. There are a few problems with this, namely that this is a red link, which indicates that the article does not exist. It's unlikely that individual articles will exist for this show, too.
An earlier edit linked to Amusement Park; I'd recommend that you check out WP:OVERLINK, which recommends that links in articles be relevant and contextual to the article. In other words, linking an episode name to the generic subject does not really increase the context of the article, and may even be confusing.
You also need to be careful with edits like this. The information you added has nothing to verify that those episodes do, or ever will, exist. Yngvarr (c) 21:13, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mr. Strong.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Mr. Strong.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:25, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Mr Cheeky.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Mr Cheeky.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 07:01, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Personal Information on your Userpage
[edit]Hi Howdoyoudo08. I don't intend to scare you away or attempt to intimidate you, but I thought you might want to reconsider some of the items on your userpage. You may have not realised that the items on your userpage release personal information about yourself (real name or age etc), which could be used against you in the future. While 99% of all the editors on Wikipedia are friendly, welcoming and harmless, there is a chance your personal information could be misused by editors not so 'high-minded'. A handful of editors have even felt real-world implications due to their Wikipedia edits and release of personal information.
I have deleted some revisions of your userpage in respect to your privacy for the time being, just in case you wish to reverse on your decision to have such content on public display. As a result, the information is only available to administrators. You are, of course, welcome to ask myself or another administrator to restore them, but I just wanted to make you aware of the risks involved with releasing personal information on such a public forum. If you wish to to have the personal information removed so that even administrators cannot view it, I can request oversight on your behalf. You are also welcome to discuss this with me on my talk page, or privately via e-mail if you have any concerns. Hope to hear from you. \ Backslash Forwardslash / {talk} 00:11, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Star Warners
[edit]The article Star Warners has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Does not pass WP:GNG or WP:EPISODE. Was a redirect for 9 years, before it was reverted.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 03:05, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
Nomination of Star Warners for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Star Warners is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Star Warners until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Onel5969 TT me 03:05, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
