Dynamic Airways at LAX

Hi, I saw you removed the entry for Dynamic Airways from the destinations table at LAX. Having the start date in January or March seemed odd, as there was an article in December about the first flight: [1]. What seems to be confusing people is that currently the service is bookable only through a Chinese tour agency as a charter package, but they want to make it a scheduled service that individuals would be able to book directly as well. It looks like currently the flight makes a tech stop in ANC where passengers on the flight from China also go through US customs and immigration, then continue on to LAX. Another source: [2]. Not sure the best way to handle this, but wanted to bring it to your attention since you're the one that removed it. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 16:55, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

I looked up Changsha on FlightAware and there's only one flight today with no past listings whatsoever, while Dynamic's other routes are pretty flight-number stable (often required by international authorities). Looks like Dynamic only sells Guyana themselves; all other routes are chartered. Dynamic's flights to Guam and Saipan are pretty stable too, although routes may be every five days regardless of the seven-day weekly cycle. Given all these I'd say we don't have enough to really list. HkCaGu (talk) 17:51, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
I just found the flight on FlightAware, it's DYA788 CSX-ANC-LAX and as I type this it is currently en-route from ANC to LAX: [3]. Looks like it's DYA787 going the other way. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 23:22, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
OK finally some periodicity! Makes sense if Guam/Saipan was 5 days, L.A. would be 11 days. It is possible that the plane that flew the first flight out of Changsha originated from GUM/SPN, hence no incoming from LAX. I'd suggest holding on for another 10-12 days to confirm the route, but it won't need start dates. HkCaGu (talk) 00:49, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Forbidden City

Hi, there have been several anonymous users who are adding unsourced content to the lead of Forbidden City, see [4] and [5]. I tried to revert the changes, since it was redundant, as the split of the institution was already mentioned. But the users keep reverting it back. The edits seem similar to those on Political status of Taiwan article [6], in which you have dealt with. The same was also done to the Chinese Civil War [7] article, National Palace Museum [8], and a bunch of other articles. Can you look at it?--TheLeopard (talk) 05:36, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

  • Thanks. I've tagged a few and will elevate should any IP come back to the same articles. FYI, if "industrialized" is added as a description of Taiwan, that's pretty much surely ProfessorJane. HkCaGu (talk) 06:21, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Thank you. I tried to undo these edits earlier in the Forbidden City article, but they were very persistent in reverting.--TheLeopard (talk) 07:21, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
What about changes at the National Palace Museum article by 103.251.67.240 [9]?--TheLeopard (talk) 07:21, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! HkCaGu (talk) 07:33, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, these users are back to the Forbidden City and Chinese Civil War articles.--TheLeopard (talk) 05:01, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Can you also look at Chinese Cultural Renaissance, President of the Republic of China, Two Chinas. These articles look like they have also been changed.--TheLeopard (talk) 11:02, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks! HkCaGu (talk) 00:25, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
Hi, it seems the users are back again. I noticed them at the Forbidden City and Two Chinas articles.--TheLeopard (talk) 00:16, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I noticed ProfessorJane earlier today somewhere else. HkCaGu (talk) 00:40, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

  • Good morning I'm zurich00swiss, a stupid and naive user, a user who has done something that is like destroying his dream: flying. I'm really young and I know I made a mistake, I know that you aren't probably interested in what I'm writing because I'll probably remain blocked. I created many sockpuppets because I wanted to continue editing my favourite airports, airlines but specially my dreams. I'm apologize for everything I've done; I want to became a pilot in Swiss International air Lines, this is the reason of my nicknames... If you give me the last chance I will surely be better, if I could go back to the past I'd never made this mistake, this stupid mistake of being a person without a hart with a part of my life! Without Wikipedia I'm empty, so I would like to ask you to give me the last chance. Best regards. THANK YOU ZURICH00SWISS.

P.S. I decided to excuse me alter talking about this with my dad, so he also tried to help me with the tramslation —  Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.29.154.74 (talkcontribs) 07:37, 22 July 2015‎

MH17 and Chinese

Hi! I read this edit summary.

Malaysian Chinese people and Singaporean Chinese are Chinese people as much as PRC and ROC citizens are. If you go on the Chinese Wikipedia there is an option specifically to display Chinese as it is used in Malaysia and Singapore.

there was a discussion about the Chinese name here. Please note User:Brian Dell's post. WhisperToMe (talk) 02:12, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

On the subject There was a Variety magazine article about an Edward Snowden film. The magazine posted the hanzi of three of the four directors who were ethnic Chinese, even though their citizenships were Ireland, Canada, and Australia. (at the time they were working in Hong Kong). I know the Taipei Times regularly posts Chinese characters of people's names, and in this article it posted the name of Michelle Yeoh, a Malaysian Chinese actress. WhisperToMe (talk) 02:55, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! It's a good idea to use the template. BTW Malaysians and Singaporeans use Simplified Chinese so I did a slight modification to the template. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:22, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
For the pilot's name, traditional and simplified are the same. HkCaGu (talk) 17:34, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
Yes, you're right. It's academic but I'll use the "c" parameter since the traditional and simplified are the same WhisperToMe (talk) 01:48, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

Air China flights to Budapest/Minsk

Air China is starting flights to Budapest and Minsk beginning 1 May 2015 according to [10] and [11]. According to both sources, the flight from Beijing to Budapest will have a stop-over in Minsk but the flight from Budapest to Beijing is nonstop. According to Airline Route, CA will not have traffic rights from Minsk to Budapest. Do we add Air China to the table at Minsk National Airport to Beijing but make a footnote saying that the flight is inbound only? We can't list Budapest solely as a destination for Air China from Minsk since they do not have traffic rights. Citydude1017 (talk) 05:02, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Can one buy Minsk-Budapest-Beijing? If so how does the flight number goes? If different, we may have to "force" it in by dumping the "flight number rule", just like NW used to do NGO-NRT because without the listing they'd be flying passengers without a destination listed. Airlineroute.net

Hi, please can you direct me to the discussion where the above site was regarded as a reliable source. The last one I could find at WP:AIRPORTS was inconclusive. Thanks! SempreVolando (talk) 14:43, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Athens International Airport

Can you take a look? Someone continues to add American Airlines offering seasonal service to Philadelphia but the flight is operated by US Airways as shown in both carriers' reservation systems using an Airbus A330-200 which AA does not operate only US. 71.12.206.168 (talk) 16:09, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

SkyGreece

They've officialy announced the date 19 June 2015 for the start of their flights to NY-JFK. You can see it also on their booking site, despite that there no prices for the flights yet - https://book.skygreece.com/web/RezvResults.xhtml — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mashine1984 (talkcontribs) 13:05, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

You keep giving bad links. Both this and the Facebook links are bad links. And although they've added JFK to their front page, once you click it is still blank in the schedule. Until there is a confirmed schedule and sales like they're doing on the Canadian routes, I'm afraid the ATH-JFK route cannot be added to tables yet. A verbal press briefing is not sufficient. Atlanta Airport

Please help! There is this IP making massive edits to the ATL Airport article (he is continuing to add carriers to the domestic statistics that do not fly those routes during the covered period). Can you please keep an eye on it. I have made hidden notes which continue to be deleted and gave a final warning on his talk page. Thanks! Citydude1017 (talk) 18:20, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

June 2015

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive edits, but one of your edits you made to San Jose International Airport appeared to be unconstructive and has been removed. Please do not add Hainan Airlines as there is already a Hainan Airlines in the table. It's a duplicate. 71.202.151.209 (talk) 19:21, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Note that you did not use an edit summary to explain your edit, hence appearing to be vandalizing. HkCaGu (talk) 02:49, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Delta service to Dallas Love Field

An IP stated on the Atlanta Airport page that Delta no longer flies to Dallas Love Field anymore as per http://www.delta.com/content/dam/delta-www/pdfs/flight_schedules.pdf but a check on Delta's flight status page still show Delta operating flights between Atlanta and DAL. 97.85.113.113 (talk) 03:14, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

You're right. The PDF is unreliable in this matter. But you need to find someone with reviewer rights. HkCaGu (talk) 03:55, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
Actually, all of the Love Field and DFW flights are combined under "Dallas/Fort Worth" in the PDF. I am not sure that it is a reliable source but http://info.flightmapper.net/route/Delta_Air_Lines_DL_ATL_DAL states that there are still flights. I have added it as a source. 97.85.113.113 (talk) 04:01, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Delta service from Osaka to Tokyo

Hi. Users continue to add that Delta will offer service between Osaka and Tokyo starting in March 2016 but these flights are for international, connecting traffic only according to the source but I don't think Delta will be allowed to sell KIX-NRT-KIX flights. A footnote was made but they are still adding it as a destination. 97.85.113.113 (talk) 18:52, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

We had this years ago. It should be added as a footnote like "Delta also operate a flight to/from XXX providing onward connection." HkCaGu (talk) 18:55, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

Take Air Zurich Airport

the flight from Zurich to Atwerp with Take Air is a flight with a scheduled time of departure and a destination on certain days . because it takes away from the targets after snche put that is a flight memership

It does not matter if they are scheduled or not. If the public can't buy a ticket, it's not a destination to be listed in the table. See WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT. HkCaGu (talk) 18:36, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Got it for six months. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 03:35, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

Can you help? IPs continue to remove BizAir and Hainan Airlines from the table as they are backed up by reliable sources (they continue to keep call them as invalid references). BizAir reference is from the airline's official website and Hainan reference is considered reliable. I have requested semi-protection to the article. 97.85.113.113 (talk) 06:16, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
